This is my third surface book. I love the form factor, sleekness and quality of the device. I did have to upgrade from the surface dock to the surface dock 2 in order for my monitors to work as expected. With the older dock I kept getting flicker every once in a while. I was looking forward to the usb-c anyways. The only reason why I didn’t give a 5 star is because it runs hot when in high performance mode. In automatic, the device does a good job managing its temperature.

The screen does flicker (known issue to MSFT). Otherwise I'm extremely happy with the performance. I do wish the laptop itself was lighter and had smaller screen bezels.

I am an original i5/256/8 Surface Book (gen 1), early adopter. After 4+ years of heavy use, my Gen 1 finally had power supply/charging issues. Even though there are other brands offering more horse power, the Surface Book 2-1 is an unbeatable combo. The tablet capability is a winner for the kind of work I do (80-90% I/O; 10-20% browse/tablet) I upgraded to a 13 inch i7/512/32 with 1650 GPU config. The unit is fast enough considering it has a 15/25 Watt CPU. After updating the firmware, I didn't experience any of the early issues. Just wish I would have gotten the Win10 PRO addition with BitLocker management.

Very good product. You can basically use it any way you want, laptop or as tablet.. Also these are for power users so want to install, untill, create environments, erase- recreate.. My best investment.

The Surface book 3 is a great laptop/tablet. It's very fast to boot up and has a great deal of disk space for applications. My daughter will be using it for college and has enough power for her engineering major.

Laptop is very neat and has been performing great, I would just recomend to turn automatic updates off or delay them for 30 days. Laptop runs games like warzone good. pleased with my new laptop so far!

Bought this for my wife and she loves it.. the screen is so crisp and clear and the keyboard is the best.. computer is super fast and the tablet portion is very convenient for portability

The Surface Book is easy and fun to use, with a great screen and graphics card, able to handle rendering and video game software. It's portable and light, making it easy to bring with me wherever I go.

I love my Surface Book 3! While it's not the "best" laptop the detachable screen and dedicated nVidia 1650 graphics card make it a "great" machine. It actually replaces 3 computers for me - my gaming laptop, my "work" laptop, and my tablet. My gaming laptop had the same graphics card but was a beast to carry around. My "work" laptop was light and portable but didn't have the GPU horse power to play anything beyond basic games. And I as an IT Architect I used my tablet for free hand design - yes, I'm old school - I like to actually draw preliminary designs. The Surface Book 3 does all of those tasks as well or better than the dedicated devices I previously used.

Purchased the Surface Book for physician employee. He really likes the versatility of the product, and uses it daily. It accomplishes all the office needs and patient care requirements

Looking for fast and test environment to load vms. This is very good and 4k touch screen is best. It has 17 hours of charge which is huge plus if we have travel plan.

High power laptop PC. It is also a Tablet. Touchscreen. High memory ram capacity. This beats any mac book in features and capacity.

This computer is great. Versatile for what we will be using it for and very fast. So far absolutely no issues with any features. The accessories make it even easier to use.

Love the versatility of laptop to tablet! The 32G RAM is blazing fast!! I upgraded from the surface pro, and am glad I did. Definitely a move in the right direction.

Great machine! Very fast and easy to use. Slight issue with the NVIDA graphics interaction with my software but easy fix.

Great computer, a lot of space and fast paced. Great for college students and especially engineering students. Tablet is also a pretty good extra bonus.

Great laptop for photo editing. More than I'd normally spend on a laptop but I needed something fast and powerful. No regrets.
