I’ve been using the Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC (7th Edition) for a couple of weeks, and it’s a solid performer overall.
Pros:
Premium, lightweight design
Crisp 13.8" touchscreen—great for work and streaming
Fast Snapdragon X Plus processor
Helpful Copilot+ AI tools like Recall and live captions
Cons:
Some older apps don’t run as smoothly (ARM chip limitations)
Only USB-C ports—would love more options
256GB SSD may be tight for large file storage
Bottom line:
A great everyday laptop with AI-powered features, solid speed, and beautiful design. Just keep in mind the app compatibility and storage if you're a power user.

TLDR; it's a win
Don't understand any of the hate on this device it's honestly pretty amazing. I'm a diehard Mac user, I've been spoiled by their ARM laptops for years. This laptop honestly made me lowkey fall in love with Windows again. The Snapdragon X Series of chips are no joke. Windows feels snappier than ever, battery life is amazing, app compatibility is OK but it will get better.
Microsoft just knows how to build a laptop. The quality is on par with the M series of MacBooks. Excited to see how these devices evolve as the software improves. So, if you're in the market for an all-around snappy, responsive, long lasting, and well-built laptop, look no further.

One year and love the battery life. It clearly lasts for more than 12 hours for my intermittent usage during the week. Performance is decent for the price.

The laptop worked as advertised & is easy to use. It's also lightweight compared to my old one, so easier to carry. I used it to give a talk via Power Point & connecting it to the monitor was easy and clear to the viewers. Thanks also to employee Angel in Elk Grove - he was very helpful in selecting a laptop that fits my needs.

Great laptop overall. Can't complain about anything if it's just for everyday browsing usage and nothing too niche.
The unit I got makes a cracking noise when being picked up while closed over. I'm gonna get it checked out by a store associate.

This laptop feels pretty premium and can do everything you need it to do on the day to day. Battery is amazing and the 120hz display makes everything feel so smooth even if it isn't always consistent.
My only gripe is that I cannot download Google Drive or Quick Share since they do not support the arm64 architecture on this device.

Great laptop! Excellent battery life, great screen and extremely user friendly. I also purchased the Microsoft 365 Personal Package, and it was easy to install.
The Surface is easy to navigate, was a great price and I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic battery life, minimum 20+ hours. Great performance, power up to running programs is ~10-15 seconds. AI features aren’t everything CoPilot+ promised, but can be improved over time.
Do note: this computer has an ARM processor, not x86. This means that some programs will not function properly.

Microsoft has finally done it! I use the laptop to connect to various work servers by using Citrix workspace. Laptop is connected to an external LG42” 4K display by using an HDMI to USB-C cable. Battery lasts the whole 8 hours with 45% left at the end of the work day. Laptop runs cool and I don’t hear the fan at all even when the laptop gets pushed. I am a heavy Mac user but I am considering windows once again due to this new comer. Good work so far!
