As an artist, this is the perfect laptop to bring anywhere and do my homework. I treat it like a portable drawing tablet most of the time, and the switch to laptop mode is easy. Illustration programs like Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop work fine, but if you’re an animator like me Toon Boom doesn’t respond to the pen in the same way since it’s meant to be used by industry standard tablets like the Cintiq. You’d probably have to mess around with the pen settings if a particular program is showing different results. But overall this has been a great laptop for me.

The best designed 2in1 to exist thus far. It’s the only one that the screen slides over the keyboard instead of leaving the keyboard exposed. It’s an expensive laptop but I was able to price match and it was soooo worth it.

One word: Fun!

Another reviewer here summed up the experience using this system well, so I only want to add to his.
His review expressed concerns around the SSD performance. As a programmer myself, too, I was also concerned about this; however, I purchased the 1TB model and included my Crystal Disk benchmark results below. It seems the model I received performs significantly better - I could speculate as to why, but it's probably not helpful.
This is an amazing system - it feels like a meaningful upgrade all around. Good luck out there!

For the last 5 years I have been using a desktop and didn't really think that I was ever going to migrate to a laptop. My desktop was accidentally broken while moving and I had to pick up a new device ASAP. I wasn't really interested in a laptop but when I saw the function and features of this product I truly began to reconsider. This laptop allows me to take my professional work on the road which is absolutely fantastic because I frequently travel during work. Additionally, this laptop allows me to sign documents electronically & directly onto the screen with the pen accessory and also folds down so that I can work on a flat touchscreen. I am so happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend to anyone who works with HP products! You will not be disappointed.

Perfect for what I need. Great build quality and amazing screen and audio. I don't use the tablet portion that much but the dedicated graphics card is up to par for the work I do. I love the keyboard and trackpad.

Have been looking into this specific laptop for a while. It's fast and the way the monitor movies is very useful for meetings in a professional setting. It is a bit bulky to use as a tablet alone but the extra power behind it is very useful.

A Powerful Machine

This machine is powerful! I use it for Fusion 360 AutoCAD, Host Zoom meetings (great for split screen use Gaming (Need the have a I7 processor), and all around thing you need for a laptop. The key thing that bothered me most about other tablet/laptops is when the screen is flat or tablet mode, you don't have the keyboard on the back so you are pressing the keys on your lap. I don't know, just a pet peeve of mine.
the only flaw I see is the battery life is subpar. If I run Autocad or game, I have about 3 hrs before I have to plug in the charger. But I'm usually at home so its not a problem for me.

This is the best laptop I've owned. While Windows 11 has some quirks and bugs here and there, the hardware has been excellent. The Windows Hello / face unlock thing is so. cool. It powers through huge files in Photoshop and InDesign and edits video in Premiere Pro like a champ. I haven't tried gaming much on it yet, but it loaded Halo Infinite and it ran fine, although it chugged through a lot of battery. My only two annoyances are the little bugs in Windows 11 and that battery, while better than any previous laptop I've owned, doesn't go quite as long as I'd hoped.

So far so good on this somewhat spendy laptop/tablet bought for freshmen year (college). Quality construction. Easy to set-up (on our own). Good processor.

I have bee avoiding surface devices for years! But this is the one to NOT pass up if you are in the market. It’s fast, quiet AND is very capable gaming machine. You are not going to be playing in ultra settings, but 1080p 60 is just enough for a laptop screen. Plus, the 120 hz display is really smooth for everything else. The hinge for changing to stage and tablet modes is very well built. Now worries on the quality of the build for the whole machine. Non upgradable RAM, so get what you need/want at time of purchase, that’s really the only negative.

This is by far the best Surface I have owned. This Surface Laptop Studio PC is a solid and fast machine. The new screen position works great with movie watching or studying for a course. As with all Surface's, it's a bit pricey but I would recommend.
The one con I have found, is that it prefers the Surface dock 2 for charging the workstation. Surface 1 dock works but it prompts a charging message.
