For a $ 30 tablet; it works; with major considerations.
I didn't expect much from this; but found its limitations right away.
Pros:
- Rock bottom cost.
- Stock android 5.1.1, and supports Play store.
- MicroSD card slot.
Cons:
- Screen is terrible: I can live with the low resolution; but if not looking straight into it at very close distance; has no viewing angle. The glare is terrible in very low light. There is a shine when looking at the screen that hurts the eyes very quickly.
- Don't expect anything from the cameras, mic nor speakers (Use headphones if you must).
- It's slow. It advertises quad-core; but be prepared to be very patient. It lags when using the keyboard.
- No bluetooth. I actually missed this detail from the spec sheet when ordering it; so it limits its possibilities as a streaming device.
- Battery life is relatively low. Might get three or four hours with light use; however expected at this price.
Not recommended for reading nor for streaming (no bluetooth). It's very slow for most games

Returned for refund

Pros - Sale Price & Best Buy's shopping/return policies.
Cons - Screen is very poor quality, washed out color and little no viewing angle beyond direct. I didn't expect much for the price, so I'm not upset, you get what you pay for and all that. But it was so poor that I returned it to the store for a refund the day after I used it. The display is among the worst I've ever seen in a color image device, it's unusable for me.
The unit would also lock up (no apps installed) and get hung with a backlit dark-grey screen and no image. I would have to force shut down and reboot the device to bring it back to life. The unit would also randomly shut down and reboot if it had gone to sleep via timeout.
Perhaps in the right setting it would be a decent tablet for the price, but I need something with a better screen that doesn't sporadically lock up. It was worth the try at $30, but not worth keeping.
YMMV, Cheers.

You get what you pay for

I took a chance on this tablet because of the low price, and the saying "You get what you pay for" rings all too true in this case. The tablet itself is fairly decent in terms of construction. The hardware however simply is not adequate enough to even run simple programs. Within minutes of initial installation it took several minutes just to register a WiFi network connection and sign into Google.
There was lag on the screen almost immediately, which is always a bad sign for a brand new device. The keyboard lag was frustrating, but I intended to buy this as a cheap device for my young son so in case he broke it, it could be replaced.
I attempted to download NetFlix, and it informed me that I had to update Google Play services to watch anything on NetFlix. After updating Google Play services, I logged back into NetFlix and videos will not load, even after sitting for a good 10 minutes.
To make matters worse, there are obvious registry problems within the tablet. I could no longer go into the Google Play store without having to sign back into my google account, and when I tried to download apps, I got the "Error 491" message repeatedly. Rebooting and clearing the cacha and data from Google Play Store and Google Play Services did nothing to solve the matter.
Within a span of 48 hours of initially receiving the tablet, I have had to factory reset the device 5 times already, and each time the problems remain. Everything is painfully slow and laggy, and while you can't expect a nice looking screen, it is also noticeably poor quality, and even the orientation seems to be slightly off-center.
The camera is absolutely awful. Again, what can you really expect from a tablet that is so cheap, and I had no intention of using it for photography, but a couple of snaps with the camera produced a couple photos that looked like some sort of lubricant had been smeared all over the lens before use.
Needless to say I will be returning the tablet at my local Best Buy this weekend because it simply does not perform. I would have purchased a Kindle Fire Tablet instead for $49.99, but I find having to use Amazon's App Store a major drawback for purchasing a tablet.
I was hopeful this cheap tablet could run Android 5.1 decently, but I was sorely disappointed and therefore cannot recommend this tablet for even the most basic of applications.

I thought for $30, it was worth a shot. Mehhh, I was wrong. Although it totes the google play emblem on its box, after being on the phone with google tech support , it turns out this device is not supported by google, it merely chooses to use their platform. Constant "491" errors when downloading and updating apps, problems logging onto Youtube, its ridiculously slow, and the display is garbage-worthy. I had to factory reset this thing 3 times: once to get play store to stop giving me errors after trying all the tips online for this error, once after rebooting it because it deleted my google account and wouldn't let me add it back in afterward, and once so I could put it back in its packaging to take it back. Theres certainly more grief to come from this device than joy, so spend the extra cash and buy something that works. Seriously...

I thought for the price this thing is pretty darn good. I didn't have any of the troubles that others complained about. It started up fine. The speed was not an issue for me. Keep in mind the processor is what it is . It's about the same speed as my desktop . A bit slow but not bad at all. The camera quality isn't the best nor is the picture quality but it's not as awful as I see others writing about. I had not problem using Youtube. All I had to do is update my playstore stuff(I think that's because I already has a Gmail account and this device therefore imports info you have on other devices. I bought some of these tablets as gifts and for 35 bucks or so , I'm happy I did.

Worse piece of junk ever sold

This tablet sucks if you bought one return it now. I bought five of these for my five kids. From the time I turned it on it didn't work couldn't download from the play store and it was one error message after another. All five tablets had the same problems. I had all the same problems the other reviewers had. I can't believe that a piece of junk like this could ever be sold.

Piece of Junk!!! Stay Away!!!!!!!!!!

I bought 2 for my kids. I tested one out before I give them to my children for Christmas. The lag time was so slow in between open apps. Like the other users mentioned you have to download the Google store update. Once you do, Google store shuts off and does not work. Netflix does not work. Apps downloaded don't open. I would always get a "loading" screen then complete black. MJS should stand for MAJOR JUNK SYSTEM!!!. Stay away folks. Best Buy, you guys should not sell this tablet or you should break ties from this company. If you continue to sell an inferior product like this, you will have a lot of disappointed customers.

I am so disappointed. There was 1 review when I ordered it for my 5 year old. Turned it on last night and right away I was getting error 491 messages then I did a factory reset and it was fine till this morning when my son tried to watch his shows on YouTube and it came back with. New error message. Returning this today. Should have bought the Amazon fire.

Great tablet for kids/price

I bought 3 tablets for my kids and friend. When I bought them there was no reviews available. I just read all of them and I was worried that I was going to get the 491 error code. 2 out of 3 are perfect but the other one had the error code. I did a factory reset and I works just fine. I will update my review after Christmas. Since that's when t he children will receive it but so far the tables work just fine and download are ok and graphics as well. They are children and most likely going to drop and have so damage. So, I'm happy with them.

There were no reviews available at the time of my purchase for this basic tablet. I purchased this tablet as a gift and received it yesterday and spent the whole day and night trying to get it to work. The error 491 and sync issues prevented apps being downloaded and connectivity issues, even though I could go online. I checked forums from many different sites and did what they said several times in several different ways. I will be returning this item, and thankfully Best Buy is great on their returns. Please don't waste your time or money on this product.

A learning curve

Like others I am used to a different type of Android experience. But I have worked with this tablet for a few days. What I have discovered is you really have to know what you are doing with this tablet.
For example, Android vs Apple. Android is an open platform. Apple has a specific way of doing certain things. With this "Android" tablet you have to learn work arounds. For example, I was first very frustrated with this tablet trying to understand how to fix this error and that error. Eventually, after giving some time to "understand this tablet" I now have all my apps working great. I got all kinds of news apps working on it.
Doing more with tablet than other people who paid $200.00 for their tablet. Android platform is still the same. But you really have to understand this tablet. I know it sound strange but it is the truth. Like I said I have several apps & all functioning normal. After putting a lot of time into this tablet setting it up. And that is the key. Once you spend the time setting it up....
Also as an added bonus, it includes a manual.

i got this tablet as a present and let me tell you... this 491 error will get in your nerves. The way to remove it is getting tablet back to factory data Reset, not even deleting the account works. After a couple of downloads guess what?? it happens again. Streaming sucks :( every time youtube stops and you got to reload your video, games barely play is an overall frustration with it. Save yourself sometime and don't get it,
