I know the video game series very well, and this movie is aesthetically pleasing. Although the story could have used a little bit of work, you can definitely tell they did their homework on how things would work in the Monster Hunter world in terms of weapons, monsters, people, and landscape. I highly recommend anyone to watch this movie, especially those that admire 4K on their TVs. You will be extremely entertained with this movie.

So, this is another game turned live action film. I enjoyed it very much. It was way better than I thought it was going to be. I collect all movies that are based on video games and I thought it was worth buying and adding it to my collection. Lots of action.

Most video game adaptions are terrible so I was surprised how good this movie. There is a lot of action and some intense sequences that could scare younger audiences. The special effects are very well done. You'll get more out of the movie if you are familiar with the video game.

This movie is based on the Monster Hunter videogames. It is a really fun adventure movie. It has great special effects. This movie is starring Mila Jovovich. And also has Ron Pearlman in it too. I bought the 4k version. The HDR is really good in this movie. And the sound effects are pretty good too. If you are looking for a fun adventure movie or you like the Monster Hunter franchise give this one a try.

If your a true fan of the game; you’d appreciate the simple facts that they showed some amazing fearsome creatures from the video game straight to the big screen. Story is ok, the survival is intense… watch it with the lights off and sound up… but don’t expect much; enjoy the creature details and survival aspect. As a fan of the game; all I can say is… THEY GAVE US A MOVIE!!!

Quite the action filled movie. Soldiers get stranded in an alternate universe where they have to fight off monsters. Needless to say things don't go well, until they are befriended by a local who assists. Lot's of action, and a real roller coaster ride of a movie.

What a great movie to watch over and over again. I've watched this movie several times even after the first screening and I get more impressed every time. It's a tale of the biggest dragons you can imagine versus the bravest dragon slayers you can find on a planet.

It pains me to to give this a 4, but the plot isn't as fleshed out as it could have been. That being said the lead female was a good actor, the visuals were amazing. The concept was great but could have been executed better.

I feel it was a great movie. I know there are many that bashed this film, and honestly I thought it was great & glad they put Milla Jovovich in it as the main character. I haven't played the game, it looks nice, just not enough time to go play it, I really hope they make more films. I thought the story was good, great action scenes, well done film.

I had no idea this was from a game, but it was quite a thrill to watch! The sound mix was good and had plenty LFE in the action sequences! One for any collection!

Fun movie that’s goal seemed more about setting up a sequel as it did telling a fun story. The movie is good not great has excellent special effects and brings the world of monster hunter alive very well. Be a great choice for family movie night

Didn't know what to expect, but felt like taking a risk and picking up Monster Hunter. As someone who hasn't played the game, I didn't feel "lost" or that I needed to check out the game to get any answers. Some of the bonus features and showing how they incorporate the game into the movie were interesting to watch, as well.

Wasn't my favorite film but still enjoyed it. It was fully loaded with action and stunning picture. The sound guilty alone is enjoyable. If you haven't purchased I'd maybe wait for it to be $20.00 or less but still good buy for the collection.

The dragons are so cool, that is the only highlight of the movie and you have to slog through the whole movie to get to that. It's a Paul Anderson movie so you know what your getting into, trying to make his wife look like the greatest creature on earth while ignoring every bit of lore that could make the movie better. The first 45 minutes of the movie could be cut out and everything would flow as if it was still in, ok the dragons aren't the only highlight of the movie because you also get to see caveman Ron Pearlman with huge hair.

Movie is meh, but soundtrack is outstanding. Deep hard hitting bass with great surrounds. A definite must have to show off your sound system. Mainly your subs.

Super effects, action from the beginning and a fascinating story. Although it is video games, for non-fans of this genre they will find it very good as a science fiction movie with a lot of adrenaline.

I got this movie expecting something similar to Ong-Bak, or Ninja Assassin...and it didn't disappoint. This movie is not a movie focused on plot or even a lengthy story. This movie is all about ACTION from second to second, and it totally delivers. There are a few holes in the plot, but it keeps you rivetted and wondering what is next.

Good movie. It’s your typical Mila movie. It’s entertaining and has lost of action. Character development is not really there but the CGI monster look good and the overall story line is something you can get behind

How many times did hollywood made movies based on video games and were successful? This one barely missed the mark. The transfer and special effect are great, but the storyline is a little weak. Still enjoyable.

An entertaining movie that will give your home theater a workout. There are some plot holes but let's face it no one watches movies based on games for plot. Plenty of loud, entertaining action.
