Great value for the money. Bought two of these for christmas gifts. One for each of my kids. The phones are so value packed for the price I am super happy with them. Lots of battery life for all day internet surfing and watching tik tok videos which they are doing plenty of both. Very pleased with this purchase and the Motorola brand in general. I used to be a die hard Samsung customer, but the prices of flagship phones are out of this world now. If I want a flagship samsung these days I have to buy the model that is 2 or 3 years old to be able to afford it and then its outdated in 2 years use and I have to buy another one. If I start buying Motorola I can afford to buy brand new and unlocked and get just as much useful life if not more for half the price. Definitely recommend these phones if you are looking for the same value as I was.

Love it!! I initially used a Moto Z2 Force and loved it. However after about 3 years I felt I needed to update to a newer phone just because the battery seems to drain faster. But I decided to stick with Motorola bc this brand has been durable compared to others.
So far, the battery on this thing is just as advertised, lasts a long time even when streaming Hulu, HBO, etc. The camera is beautiful, I'm not an expert on camera in general but if the pictures are clear and pretty - that's enough for me. The features are simple and I'm happy that I can always go into setting and change the swipe functions to a 3 buttons feature of back, home and apps. The new swipe features are not cool for me - I'm old school.
I went ahead and bought another one for my mom after seeing how easy it is to use. Very happy with this phone indeed!

After dropping my one-year old Pixel 3 in toilet for 2 seconds, had to replace it. My son had bought it for me as a gift. The Moto G Power seems a lot more user friendly, more prompts and helpful info included as you use it. I've only had it a couple weeks, but 3-day battery seems pretty true. It is a bit heavier because of this, but not a bother. I wanted an unlocked phone so that I can use it when travelling to UK, also one that works with Verizon, and finally- a phone that doesn't cost a small fortune. The Moto G Power is it, I'm very happy!

I just bought this phone to replace a Pixel 3a XL that I had for only a few months. I have to say I wasn't crazy about the Pixel so when it got wet and wouldn't take a charge I had to replace it. I am not a flagship phone guy, so the $350 I paid for the Pixel was a real push and I was committed to find something better and at a better price. I have to say this Moto G Power was the real answer for me. Just popped the SIM card in and I was up and running. This phone just feels more comfortable for me than the Pixel. I am more particular about the camera although I am not a photo geek, and so far so good. I am not the type to make many prints but I have to say one of my early shots was definitely print worthy.
I experimented with a few browsers and opted for Opera Touch which is working flawlessly and just seems native to the phone. The "swipe left" feature on the phone to navigate back in the browser was a little tricky at first, but when I discovered it and started using it I really started to like. No disappointments with this phone and you can't do any better at this price.

Way beyond expectations! I was using the original Pixel XL which was pretty competent when it originally came on the scene. But battery life dwindled down to next to nothing and I wasn't going to spend another grand on a phone. I looked into getting the pixel 4a but it was an available until sometime in October and I wasn't going to wait. Saw this phone reviewed on YouTube and tried it and it is nothing short of fantastic so far. Excellent battery life solid speed wonderful screen. If I get two years out of it I'll be more than thankful

So far I love this phone. I bought this phone to replace an LG10 that I've had for five years. The battery in the LG10 would not hold a charge and the phone was slow. I was hesitant to buy the Moto Power because some of the ratings were low. I kept putting off buying it because I wasn't sure, but the price finally convinced me. Best Buy put it on sale for a really low price so I bought it. I'm so glad I did. There are pros and cons though.
Pros:.
Apps load very fast
Battery lasts two or more days with normal use
Phone is user friendly
Volume is much great
Camera is very good, photos are clear
Cons:. It takes a minute or two for the phone to start after it has been turned off
Motorola is constantly sending updates
The touch pad is really sensitive
Overall, it's a great phone for the price. I would definitely recommend this phone.

Let me say first that I do not use my phone for gaming, social media nor do I watch movies or TV on my phone (that's what my TV and tablet are for) however, I do use my phone for just about everything else. That being said; yes, this phone has an amazing battery that lasts for days. Charging is also super fast, the fastest I've ever seen.
For me, this phone is very fast and I can't imagine why I'd want or need a phone with faster speed.
This phone also has an awesome camera! The quality of the photos that can be taken using Macro mode is astounding. The wide angle lens is another solid feature and the camera on this phone has many equal features.

A solid competitor in the $200-$350 range. This won't be taking Samsung/Pixel/Iphone flagship level photos but they'll be much better than some of the potato quality ones. Battery life is pretty good, and this phone does run a 64bit operating system and will be able to continue to run Pokemon Go. Careful as motorola phones are rather fragile, a case is a must. Otterbox does offer a two piece of rather good quality, just add a screen protector.

Moto G Power cell phone (Unlocked) Mfg October, 2020, purchased 12-27-2020.
This seems like a pretty good phone; lots of options in the settings, great screen color and resolution, 3 hi res cameras and a strong battery. It seems to get a better signal from the cell phone tower in our area, compared to my older Samsung, and my wife's new Galaxy A01. One curve ball: Motorola rolled back the software package to the previous version during the setup process. I contacted them, and they gave no explanation; leaving me to theorize that there may have been problems with the software pkg, as shipped, and they went back to something more reliable, until they figure it out. Any way, it seems like a good phone, and works good, so far. 64 Gb memory, 4 Gb RAM, 5 Ahr batt
I liked the Best Buy Sale price, and it was a no hassle purchase.

I was pleased to find this new, unlocked phone option available for such a good price. Over the past few phones, I have learned that the most important feature to me is battery life. It's not that I don't care about the specs, camera quality, or performance, but none of those matter if I'm constantly worrying about how much I can use my phone before the next charge.
After a week of use, this phone fits my priorities pretty well. The performance is good, not great. The picture quality is good, not great (low-light is very mediocre). But I have no worries about whether or not my phone will die in the middle of the day. And it gets me to the latest version of Android.

At 1st I really just thought that it was kind of an entry level G series Motorola phone but the fact that the battery does actually last for 3 days without a single charge and the phone is unlocked so you can take it wherever you need to go and the price was absolutely what I was looking for I would give this phone 5 but there are better phones the list but if my main thing is I never remember to charge my phone then I would give this phone a 10 I can't really give you an honest review on any other aspect of the phone because that is really what I purchased this phone 4

Given the price of most Samsung or Apple phones, there is little to justify it when Motorola and others make extremely competitive phones at half the price. Especially now when you are roped into leasing/payment plans with most high end phones, unlocked phones like this are a perfect alternative to the high priced phones tangled up in contracts.
Amazing battery, can make it a day and a half with heavy usage (games, videos, etc.) when my prior iphone would last half the time at best. The Motorola gestures are a nice addition and android runs smoothly with the additional tweaks. As someone who used android alot before getting an iphone this is a great way to return to it without spending an exorbitant amount on the latest Galaxy phone

Do you like overpaying for phones? Are you addicted to iPhones and Galaxies that are "free" because you have a contract with some phone company that overcharges you for your line? Then don't get this phone.
Do you like to get good performance in a simple package?
Do you like to not overpay by hundreds of dollars?
Do you like to be able to take your phone to whatever service you like?
Do you like a battery that can last nearly three days?
Do you like a perfectly good camera with wide mode and some fun bells and whistles, but aren't worried about being able to take the National Geographic Wildlife photo of the year?
If yes, get this phone.
I am really cheap about cell phones. This is definitely the best phone I've ever purchased, and, honestly, it's the most expensive one. However, for what you get, it's a great deal.
It's a fast and powerful package with good bells and whistles without breaking your bank or loading you up with stuff you don't need.
IT LASTS FOR DAYS. DAYS! It's so nice to not worry about charging it all the time. My old phone was getting pretty bad--I'd run out of charge by evening. This guy...seriously 3 days, or if you used it every second, maybe you'd only get 2. But it also has a USB C charger and charges up very fast.
I've been a fan of the Moto budget phone for a couple iterations, but previously I've had the REALLY budget versions--the e series. These have always worked pretty well, and when I totaled them (once with a leaking water bottle, once with a damages screen) it wasn't the end of the world to replace them. This phone is a bit pricier compared to those serviceable but not amazing phones, but it is MUCH more in a compact, nicely made, and still pretty cheap package.
For starters, it's got a nice screen that's crisp and large. It's not necessarily as perfect as an iPhone or a Pixel, but it's also much cheaper. It still looks really good, and is a nice size, with clearly defined buttons and easy navigation with a standard android setup.
It has 64 g, which is also more than you get from Samsung in their budget models at this price point. If you went with the stylus version, you'd get 128 for slightly more. Moto is really packing this phone.
The camera setup reflects the new industry standards. Three lenses on the back give you wide options and macro options. You can make panorama photos, do macro close-ups and make some fun concoctions using the "cinemagraph" feature (photo that has moving elements) or the cutout options. The video options include slo-mo and time lapse, and other fun features. The selfie came is pretty serviceable. These are all huge jumps from my previous phone, so it's hard to even compare. The photos are crisp and clear, and they have strong contrast and color, and you can do at least some basic editing using the Moto tools. This may not be quite at the level of the Pixel, Galaxy, or I-Phone, but I'm pretty sure my dogs still look super cute, and some snaps I've taken rival a real Nikon camera and I've preferred the moto shots. The colors might be a little oversaturated, but they definitely pop. I believe the main camera is 16mp.
There's also a micro sd expansion slot, which is great for photos and videos and keeping your phone free for apps.
I jumped from a 16g to this phone, and it feels luxurious, so I'll admit my standards may be different from yours.
The Moto functions are fairly cool, without the phone being loaded with tons of bloatware. This is also a nice thing about an unlocked phone--goodbye to so much stupid stuff that is impossible to remove. There are still a few preloaded and useless things, but it's been really nice to have a fairly clean phone. It has the standard google suite and a few Moto specific tools, but not a million pieces of bloat. Now, if you were to buy this phone and immediately setup with a carrier, I don't know if you'd end up with the bloat. I bought it without a new activation and brought it to my plan, which turned out to be super easy.
Two things to do with this phone: GET A CASE and a screen protector. The construction on the phone is good, but it's slippery and unless you want to destroy the screen immediately, get a case.
Enjoy not spending ridiculous amounts of money and getting a phone with a fantastic battery.

Beautiful phone considering the price (less than $200 from Best Buy on sale). My observations:
1. Solid, reliable performance. Easy to transfer backuped apps/settings from prior Android device via Google, and my launcher set up via Action Launcher.
2. Large screen, good HD rendition, to my eyes comparable to my Samsung S9 plus. Processor speed is perfectly adequate.
3. No NFC chip, so no Google Pay. If this matters to you, get a different phone. You might consider how much more you're paying for the phone in order to obtain this feature. I would like to have this feature, but have to admit I have only very, very rarely used it.
4. Vanilla implementation of Android 10 OS, similar to Pixel, probably a good thing for many users. Reportedly Motorola will likely only provide one OS upgrade to Android 11, I'm guessing shortly. (Even if I use the phone for a year or less, at the low price I will have regarded it as a fine transitional phone before considering a possibly premium replacement at some point).
5. Some wonder if the "cheap" plastic back will prove durable. I use a case built like a tank and am not really worried about that (on the other hand, I prefer not to use a screen protector).
6. The built-in Motorola Launcher has almost no real customizations and a maximum configuration of 5 apps high, if I understand it correctly, making use of a third-party launcher imperative for many. As noted above, I use Action Launcher.
7. An Android 10 OS glitch with third-party launchers, however, is a little irritating, particular if you have phone-perfection OCD: It is impossible to choose gesture navigation over three-button navigation if you use a third-party launcher, apparently (and certainly in my case) -- though some advanced tweaks using third-party apps claim to offer solutions (I haven't gotten them to work). Also, the "Clear All" recently viewed apps button to the left of the recently viewed images disappears when using a third-party launcher. I hope these issues are resolved with Android 11. These glitches are widely reported in various online fora and I can confirm them.
8. Unsurprisingly, battery life is superb -- very impressive. It will depend on how you use it, of course, but in many cases a single charge will probably last 3 days. No wireless charging, of course, at this price. (It will nice when features like wireless charging and NFC chips are included in otherwise excellent low-end phones -- my guess is we'll get there in a few years).
9. Haven't tested the cameras -- reportedly they are pretty good given the price, especially the wide-angle camera.
10. Early reports seemed to suggest that the phone provided adoptable storage with a microSC card (i.e., using the add-on memory as internal memory). The phone as I received it, or at least after the initial firmware updates, doesn't offer this feature -- added microSD memory is portable memory only. I added a 128 GB card, but I haven't figured out how to efficiently use it to effectively expand the 64 GB of built-in internal memory -- I'm guessing by temporarily moving media files back and forth from internal to portable memory using a file manager. (I have read that there is a trend, maybe driven by Google's standard OS updates, for phones to abandon adoptable internal memory because microSD cards just aren't reliable enough in many cases). I'd like to understand this issue better.

I had a Samsung Galaxy S6, S7 and an LG in the last 4 years. The Moto G power has been so far great. I use it all day and it has over 50% Battery typically left. My wife has a new iphone 11 and we live out a ways for the cell tower and like all of my previews phones, had only one or at most two bars of service. The Moto often has full or 4 bars and no issues with calls or data. I have streamed shows and done a lot of internet browsing also with no issues. The camera is easy to use and had 3 options including a macro function. All of the other phones had a hard time capturing my fingerprint to open the phone, this one works like 80+% of the time. Will see lust how rugged it is , I did get the one year protection plan.

Solid phone! The camera isn't bad for the price point of the cell phone and it has enough to offer that could make it an ideal phone for anyone. The 5000 mAh battery is real nice and I'm able to go just about 3 days without a charge if I'm just using it every so often. Heavy use drains the battery quicker but still even if I spend a solid amount of time using my phone it might drop that 3 day battery life to a 2-1 1/2 days worth of battery life. It's not bad at all in fact I haven't needed to charge my phone a lot because of it. For those who plan on getting this phone I suggest charging it as little as possible to prolong the battery's 3 day efficiency as I'm sure over years of use that battery life will diminish. The type-C is a must these days so that's nice, as well as having the audio jack, which is honestly something I look for. I hate not having an audio jack and I hate dongles, so it's good that this has the audio jack. Storage is decent, can fit a micro SD to increase storage (located on the SIM card tray). In general this phone should be good enough for anyone, unless you want to flex hard and buy a flagship for $900+. Not saying that this can compete with flagships, because it can't, but it's enough to get the job done and for $250 I'd say this phone is an excellent purchase.

I needed a replacement phone for my Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge but at a budget price. I googled a report that said that the Motorola Moto G Power was my best option. Best Buy had a great deal and I got the phone, cover and Zagg for around $ 250.00. No issues with switching from a Samsung - very easy to set up, easy to use and I am VERY HAPPY with the purchase. Would buy a Motorola again. Best of all is the battery life - I use my phone a LOT, but still am at about 65% at the end of the day - great purchase, would buy again - no issues.

Bought this phone for my girlfriend to upgrade from her previous smartphone, and let me tell you the difference is night and day, super awesome camera that rivals the iPhone’s, battery life is 2-3 times what you’d expect of a normal smartphone, and you can set up shortcuts to do things, she can shake her phone 2 times one way and open the camera and 2 times the other way and turn on the flashlight, something I’m not even sure if my iPhone can do. Overall a very good phone for the money! Make sure you get a case and screen protector to protect the phone!

So it's obviously not a flagship phone, but it's certainly a good budget phone. I've been using it since April 15th and haven't had any issues thus far. It was an upgrade from my Moto E4 Plus. The battery life is phenomenal, which alone is worth it. I am a heavy user, constantly texting and using the internet, and I get a good 2 days of usage. I don't play games with my phone, or use a ton of different apps, so the 4gb of RAM is more than adequate for me. I don't notice lag or stutters when opening apps, scrolling, or switching apps. So far my only complaint is that the headphone jack is on the bottom of the phone. My old phone had it on the top and it was much more comfortable for me.
Overall this is a decent phone if you don't care about having the latest and greatest. Motorola is notorious though for not updating the OS or pushing out regular security updates, so be warned.
