    Spectacular Phone, So-so Camera

Coming from a Galaxy Nexus, the build quality of the Moto X is great. The phone has a big , bright, beautiful screen with a surprisingly small body. The voice control is very helpful, and the heart-beat notifications are a nice convenience. The processor may not be quad-core, but since the graphics card is high-end, the phone is quick and responsive. Bonus to the two-core design: awesome battery life. The camera is not so great, but should improve with a firmware upgrade that has already been pushed to other carriers. Verizon is taking its sweet time on the update, as usual, unfortunately. Overall, great phone for everybody.

I love this phone. I've had it for several months and have had no issues what so ever. Its lightweight comfortable so super easy to use. The screen size is huge and still able to reach everything without crazy stretches. Its nice not having to fight crazy features that do nothing just to be able to use a phone. I use the camera twist all the time. Its convenient as anything could be. I have no problems flipping between programs. The internet is super fast. Everything just flies on this phone even though the specs are lower. The chips make all the difference. And actually being able to use my phone all day without fear of having to slow down my use just to make it home to my charger is a huge relief. I love this phone!!!

Very well made device, inside and out, elegant look, the size and slimness is just right. Great connectivity (4G and Bluetooth v.4) very clear voice from speaker. Fast, intuitive and responsive where I don't know what the big fuss is about i-retina in apple products; it has very high pixel density (312 ppi). Amazing graphics card too (Andreno 320). The cons? I wish it had a better battery life, though it charges relatively quickly. Also, if it only has a 1080p screen instead of 720p, not that I can see the difference on a 4.7in screen!! (keep in mind though it has a beautiful 10.1mp camera and a very good 1080p video recording, and the front camera is 2mp as oppose to iphone 5s' 1.2mp) but still just to make a statement, and speaking of making a statement, the back says "Designed and Assembled in the USA" now how is that for a statement? to be honest that was my biggest motive to get this phone, turns out to be one of the best Android phones on the market today. I Highly Recommend it.

I have chosen this phone 3 times and each time, I've loved it! The first two broke (my fault 100% from dropping/smashing). The first generation, though it's often argued, is much better than the second generation. Great battery life, fast, the "Okay Google Now" feature is by far my favorite!

I really like the size and feel of this phone. Coming from a small non smart phone I was concerned about getting a phone that was too big. I tried the LG G2 which my brother has and loves, but it just seemed like it would be too big for me. I also was looking at I-phone, but wasn't sure it would be a bit small for me as I have an ipod and can't text very well on it. I considered the Samsung S4 but didn't like the feel of it. I went through a couple of motorola phones over the years and never had any issues with them. I looked at all the tech specs and had my brother in my ear about how fast his LG is and I knew going into the purchase that it wasn't going to be as fast as some of the other models available. I wasn't as concerned about that as I was just having a comfortable phone. I was really debating between the moto x and the maxx mainly for battery life, but in the end, the moto x won out mainly because I was able to pick it up for free and it was just comfortable to hold. Battery life for me is about 1.5 to 2 days, but I am by no means a heavy user. I don't play any games only use it for calls, texts, facebook and some other low power drain apps. I can see where the battery will only last 1 day if it is put to hard use. The camera is ok, but I never planned on buying it for the camera. Overall, I am really happy with the phone and feel it was a good purchase for my wants/needs.

This is a very good phone. Works well and looks great. I wanted more flexibility than the I phone offered. It fits in the hand nicely. I already own a tablet so i didn't want another. Plus I like to carry my phone in my pocket. Overall its a good well thought out phone and the price is really good too.

the rear camera and flash stopped working within a few days, after fairly normal day-to-day use. read on a blog that at least two others have had similar complaints. verizon replaced the phone promptly but still a pain. Otherwise, love the voiceless controls, flick-of-the-wrist camera access. The camera feels great in the hand, wish I had crafted a custom case...

Moto X is really a nice phone for the price. I decided on this phone over the iPhone because the size feels great in the hand, plus it was listed at a very good price so I just bought it outright not having to be under another 2 year contract with Verizon. I think Motorola are making some nice phones along with great prices. Yes I would purchase again. Best buy was also a great help transferring my iPhone contacts to this Android phone.

after much research for a first smart phone, this was the one I found to be highly recommended. Primarily wanted a pocket friendly size with a decent camera, good video, and very durable as well. has lived up to everything I wanted and more. only drawback would be no removable memory, but easy to move to my computer and haven't had to erase anything yet. still have like 3/4 memory available. battery life so far good for at least a day, but I'm not on it all day long like some users.

I'd used the Droid 4 nearly 3 years and it finally died. The Moto X has a quality camera and has the 4.4 KitKat, so it is quite fast (a heckuva lot faster than the Droid 4, that's for sure.) I do miss the physical qwerty keyboard, but I've found I can live without it. The voice commands are quite responsive.

Generally like this smart phone. It is the first one that I have owned and I have found it pretty easy to operate. I like the way it does not have to be powered up to see the time and what kind of messages have been received. I do not like the lack of an easily accessible contact list. I have mistakenly dialed the phone when all I wanted to do was to see the contact information. The keyboard does not have a ".com" key which is annoying when entering email addresses and websites' urls. Also, I have not found a way to add new email addresses directly from emails received.

This phone works great. I needed an inexpensive phone for my grandson that I was adding to my account. I wanted him to have a smart phone, but did not want to spend a lot of money and this was a perfect phone, he loves it and it works great. It is a gen 1 and there is a gen 2 out since 2014.

First smartphone I have owned but am having very few problems learning all of the cool things that this phone can do. I like the voice commands and the touch to share features. The camera does not have as many features as my wife's Galaxy S4 but I am very satisfied with the quality of the pictures I am getting. The phone seems to be very well made and the battery life is very impressive. I wish it had an SD card slot for additional memory.

The Best Verizon Phone Available Now!

This phone is the best kept secret in the Verizon lineup. When Best Buy had it offered for FREE I just could not say no. My Razr Maxx was getting pretty beat and lagging like crazy then finally died just before the Moto X went on sale so I jumped in with both feet and I am so glad I did. This phone got Android Kit Kat 4.4.2 on the drive home from Best Buy and it flat out rocks! Battery is awesome and no problems at all lasting all day and into the next day! Samsung phones are nice but just TOO BIG for my liking. This phone does Everything well, quickly, and always can be depended on to work in Any location, even an elevator. No downsides! What are you still waiting for??? Go get yours today!! :)

My wife and I are very happy with these phones. Battery life and call quality are both very good, the phone itself is really good-looking, and Motorola's software improvements on Android are actually very useful. It's really not a"skin" like TouchWiz or the old Moto Blur, it's just some added features that I use every day. And the fact that it's assembled in America makes me very happy. The phone is quite slippery, and it needed a case before I felt it was safe from falls. Bummer for a good-looking phone but necessary. The camera isn't great, but Android users should be used to that. One last thing: I bought this phone from Best Buy because of their awesome damage protection plan. That plan no longer exists, and has been replaced by a much more expensive, less customer-friendly plan. I got this phone for $50 ($100 for both) rather than getting them from Amazon for free. I won't do that again.

We bought this phone for my husband who had to switch from his dinosaur (aka - flip phone) after he was told he needed to receive and send texts for his new job. I was afraid he would not be able to get used to a smart phone, but he has conformed to this one very easily. He is especially happy with the talk to text feature since his typing skills are lacking.

The Moto X is the perfect compromise between screen size and comfort. The screen is bigger than the iPhone 5 but it's footprint and weight are comparable. The sleek contour and thin profile fit my hand like a glove, unlike the 5's hard edges. Sure there are times I would enjoy viewing a screen the size of Samsung's S4, but I gladly trade those few occasions for the always present appearance, comfort and quality of the Moto X. Great purchase, very satisfied.
