I chose this system for its premium quality, portability and versatility for programming, gaming and creative work. It's upgradeable and easy to add a second SSD. The display, keyboard, trackpad and audio quality are all excellent. Good port selection including a full size card reader. Performance is good enough to run Forza Horizon 5 on high settings and get smooth gameplay. I'm happy overall with this system.
Downsides:
Battery life is not great. I'm using MSI center to manage power/cooling but battery seems not great even doing basic tasks like email and web browsing. I was hoping that with the Meteor Lake CPU the battery life would be better.
My main complaint is that it's uncomfortable to have in your lap, the feet are sharp and dig into your legs. I would recommend a lap desk if you can find one for 18" laptop. I use a piece of plexiglass under the feet which also helps with the ventilation and prevents discomfort if the machine gets hot.

Build quality is great, mostly metal exterior. 4K 120Hz screen is very crisp, and the Mini LED shows true black very well.
I was worried about cooling because of how thin the laptop is (considering the 4080 inside), but the vapor chamber had no problem keeping the CPU/GPU cool under load. I would see most cores around 80⁰C with intense game such as Helldivers 2 or Space Marine 2.
Windows Hellos integration is a nice touch, as well as the built-in camera cover. 2.5Gb networking was great for transferring games over at home.
I'm not sold on the AI features of this laptop, but overall it is definitely a solid device that I hope to last for many years to come.

Very happy with purchase. Need was for a semi portable desktop replacement that could do a variety of tasks from spreadsheets, to games, to image processing. Star Wars Battlefront II Ultimate runs at 4k with maxed out settings at about 50% of CPU and GPU capacity. Customizable backlit keyboard is very nice. Screen is great and bright when needed. Speakers are great for a laptop and better than standard desktop sound. Lightweight considering size. Just stylish enough to be classy but not an overdone gaming laptop. Can get hot but once fans are on, cools right down. Fan noise is not bothersome. Cons are the battery life (limited by law) and a little bit of a finicky setup of customizable features. Price is reasonable for features when bought on sale, as in my case.

I felt compelled to write this review as i found it hard to find good info on this laptop prior to purchase. The MSI Stealth 18 is a powerhouse with a stunning matte display that's perfect for any task. Here's why it stands out:
Display: Best screen quality I've ever seen with a glare-free matte finish.
Performance: Handles heavy workloads and gaming effortlessly.
Build: Solid construction with a professional look.
Battery: Doesn't seem to be meant for use unplugged. Best to keep plugged in imo. It does work for a while, but this is best as a desktop replacement with occasional use on lap/couch etc.
Ports: Well-equipped with all necessary connections.
Speakers: Very nice quality
Cons:
Price: Premium cost for premium features.
Conclusion:
If you need a high-performance laptop that can replace your desktop, the Stealth 18 is nearly perfect. Its screen and performance make it a top choice despite its heft and cost.

I’ve owned several gaming laptops over the years, but the MSI Stealth 18 AI has completely redefined my expectations. The Intel Core Ultra 9-185H and RTX 4080 combo is an absolute beast everything from AAA titles to intensive creative software runs flawlessly and with minimal fan noise. The 120Hz UHD+ display is sharp, vibrant, and ridiculously immersive, especially on an 18" screen.
Despite its power, it’s shockingly slim and light for a machine of this caliber perfect for travel or a clean desk setup. I also appreciate the premium design touches like the Star Blue finish and per-key RGB keyboard. Boot times are instant thanks to the 1TB SSD, and the 32GB RAM handles multitasking like a champ.
Whether you’re a gamer, content creator, or power user, this laptop delivers performance and elegance in equal measure. Absolutely worth the investment.

Computer is amazing, screen display is beautiful, very fast even with multiple apps running at once. The battery life is not good, but no gaming laptop is. Recommend getting a portable charger if you will always be using on the go. If its in your budget I say def get it, you wont be disappointed

Love the UHD 120Hz screen. This laptop is powerful, but I'm having troubles with upgrading it. I tried to open the case and caused the cover to separate around the touchpad, so be careful. I now have 4TB and 96GB RAM mobile workstation. Still also having trouble with drivers on a new windows install. Hoping to get the bugs worked out and then give it 5 stars.

Incredible gaming laptop! I can run all games at ultra, the screen is gorgeous, and the sound is not nearly as loud as other gaming laptops I've owned. It's quite!
Battery life is normal for a gaming laptop...you aren't going to play 12 hours without plugging it in.

Laptop is well built and received with no damage. It started up perfectly and was set up easily and quickly. It is much faster than my previous laptop (Dell XPS). I enjoy working on it. I do need to find how to lite the keyboard better.

I've only had it a couple of weeks, but so far it's exactly as advertised. The graphics are great, it's fast, and light for it's size. I'd buy it again if i needed another one.

Frequent green blocks of pixilation on the screen, wi-fi disconnects constantly when all other connected devices at the location work fine, screen flashes on/off black often. Updated all drivers and the OS, did a full recovery. Must have gotten a bad unit or the shipping company abused it during shipping. Need to return it.

There's always problems with the USB ports quitting working. The audio never works for more than one gaming session without crapping out. The performance acts like it's a 2060 instead of a 4080. There's always glitching and problems with it. I would never recommend this laptop untill all of these items are fixed.
Yes I have had an MSI before and that's why I purchased this but this has been the worst computer buying experience I have ever had.

I bought this with great anticipation but found the display hinges to be loose and the RGB keyboard would not adjust brightness with the Fn key. Also, the next gen are coming in a month with more performance and only a few hundred more.
