Customers highly value the Stealth GS66's performance and build quality, citing its impressive speed and solid construction. Positive feedback also highlights the ample RAM and relatively light weight for a gaming laptop, although some users note the fans can be loud at times. The battery life is considered decent for non-gaming tasks.

Throughout initial setup and testing, I am overall very pleased with this laptop. The specs for the price are great, the anesthetics are very sleek, and the weight – while a bit heavy in general – is light compared to many other gaming laptops. The largest (and only, really, at this point) complaint I have is regarding fan noise. Even doing something as sinple as installing Windows Updates , the fans crank way up and are ratger loud. Under an actual load they, unsurprisingly, are more akin tonhaving a small jet sitting on one's desk.

The feel of the laptop and keys the beauty of the elements on screen, the MSI tools that help manage it. The performance I get out of this laptop may surpass my wildest hopes and dreams. My previous laptop was a 7thgen i5 with 12GB of ram on Windows 10. This laptop really makes me not regret buying it, I love it, from the customizable RGB to the port quality, to the fan controls.
It loads fast, it runs fast, it leads me having more time to get things done

I had a similar experience as some of the other poor souls writing a review for this laptop. After waiting a couple days to receive the UPS package (taking a day off to ensure I was home on the delivery date to sign) I carefully opened the well-packaged boxes to admire the gleaming $2,500 worth of tech goodness. Plugged the brick into the outlet and laptop, booted her up, updated the drivers, installed Steam, closed the lid, heard a slickening electronic 'POP," and my heart broke as I watched a small mushroom cloud straight out of The Day After hovering over my hard-earned investment. I must say, the laptop performed well during the one hour of updates. (sarcasm)

In the now roughly two weeks I've owned this laptop, I have to say that I'm mostly impressed with the specifications (keep in mind it's DDR4, and not 5, at least in this particular model's case - so if you were hoping for DDR5, you'll need a different model).
My one con is that the CPU runs a bit warmer than I would like when at full load, but this is how thin gaming laptops tend to be, especially with an i9 cpu. I didn't experience any temperature related throttling, so I'd say it's pretty good even when pushed to the limit. That being said, the GPU temperatures have been pretty cool for the most part.
The boot time and loading of applications stands out to me as one of its best performance features.
I went for a 1920x1080 display personally, but I can say with these specs, it easily could have handled 1440p. The screen gets the job done for me (but you could always connect it to another display if you so choose).
The design of the actual laptop is pretty sleek and thin. I was shocked with how it looks on a table, desk, etc.
I wasn't sure how the USB port count would be with what all I like to use with my tech, but I found that I was able to use a USB-C hub to connect an additional 4 USB devices to my laptop, and there's technically room for more. I have had no incidents regarding power to these USB ports, so that is yet another great sign.
Ultimately the Stealth GS66 has the portability, performance, and power to get the job done for me, and if these specifications and price look fair to you, then I can certainly recommend it.

Not good. Would not power on unless i held the power button down to reset 4 times.
1. Light leaks all around the screen. Can windows laptop manufactures not figure this out?
2. Finger prints everywhere. Poor finish
3. Runs hot and fans do run most all the time
4. MSI software that is essential, as in keyboard lighting and basic monitoring of the system is OK. I mean, come on...they keyboard lighting software is not intuitive at all.
5. Do yourself a favor and get a Razer.

Very nice and fast computer. Using with video games and virtualization labs. It works rather well. Not really happy that I have to fully power the PC down to get it out of Sleep/Hibernation

Yeah it’s a rocket ship but it will startle itself (throttle) occasionally if you don’t have every little setting perfectly adjusted. I’d alter for a Razer

My jaw dropped when I noticed the price of this machine with a 12th Gen i9 and 3070Ti and it was on sale ! I bought it quick as I could and it was the last one at my local store. It is a absolute beast and I am super happy with it so far. Before I got this MSI I purchased a ASUS ROG Strix from Amazon and it arrived with defective RAM. After that extremely frustrating experience I am so glad I stumbled across this great machine.

Plug in the power cord. Don’t start up. Reset, it turns on, get Windows update, restart, not turning on. Retried every solution, still not turning on. It didn’t even let me turn on a single game to see its performance. It is severely defective. Save your money and look for another AMD model.

This laptop is undeniably thin and on the light side, especially for the level of gaming power in it. I'm happy with it, but hope thinner and lighter laptops will come on the market in the future, even if they cost more.

I have the same problem as many with this laptop which is not booting... Got to hold the power button to reset and try 2 or 3 times so it eventually boots. Which is sad cause I really like the overall build quality and materials..

This computer is hot garbage as has been my experience with multiple other MSI gaming laptops. MSI offer exceptionally high-end products but their build quality stinks. This computer has been gimmicky since day one and I had to return 2 other MSI laptops prior to this one. This was MSI's last chance with me and I'm not coming back.
