Kids just seem to kill stuff when they play games. This is a great, fun, fast non violent alternative.

As a MX rider I loved the new rider controls and the constantly changing terrain of the tracks. I was a big fan of MX Mototraxx with Travis Pastrana for the PS2. It had the most realistic controls and it have a great career mode. The disappointment was immediate when I found out that they had done away with the career modes! I also don't love that there are no current MX games with real outdoor MX tracks or SX tracks. I loved some of the early editions of these games where they had long career modes and the different vehicles you could drive and race. I have bought nearly every MX game for PS/PS2 over the years and while the graphics and controls are great I would rent it or buy it used(thankfully I had a gift card).

This is still the best mx game I've ever played. The reflex mechanics are great and they make it pretty realistic although they take some getting used to since you use both joysticks. The graphics are awesome and
the dynamic track changes are amazing. Lots of customization so no complaints there. My only
complaint is how you progress throuh the game. There is a lack of tracks at the beginning and it's just a flat
out grind fest to unlock content. There is no career mode or series races and there are no indoor arena tracks. I gave it 3 stars solely for the reason of grindy gameplay and progression that doesn't really get you hooked into the game. Other than that, very fun to play.

This game is awesome. Track changes the longer you stay on it like real mx tracks actually do. Controls took some getting used to though. There is a lack of "career" in this edition. You do get to add to your bike/quad the further you get.
