nice view of the road forward and behind you

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.had this installed a few weeks ago, it is a very nice system records what happens in front and behind you. the night vision on the front camera gives you an enhanced view of the road at night, the rear camera night vision is not as good. the camera angles can be adjusted by swiping the screen up or down for the front and rear cameras to move the view . the rear camera looks back always , when in reverse it automatically changes angle to look where you set it to look. and it can be adjusted to look down at whatever angle you need simply by swiping the screen. so far this is a great unit, you can do videos, or single pictures with it it can be set to record voice also, there are a lot of features on this device and it is fairly intuitive, the manual could be a bit better. so far i am satisfied with it. i would purchase it again. my only criticism is that they should have used the same camera front and rear. so you would have the same night vision capability.

A Must for Liability Protection.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this cam for 3 years now in 2 cars and I love it! once, a tire came flying my way while on the highway disabled my car and 4 others behind me. When police came, the cars that were hit after me stated that the tire came from my car. I was able to show police on site the video where the tire comes out of nowhere. I had proof of the incident and was treated very nicely by my insurance company. It made the total loss easier to cope with.

The quality is near perfect both day and night time. I can save smaller files so they do not become corrupted and would fail especially in a critical moment like a few other cameras I've used. I plan on upgrading all my vehicles with this camera. The only critic I have is I'm not too partial to having it outside my vehicle. I was able to figure out and place it inside my pickup topper which still has a great quality unless it's a really bad rain or snow, the window it looks out of fogs up and you can only somewhat see out of it. This is more on the truck than it is the camera.

It does not do anything spectacularly, but does work as intended. At the regular price I would say that it is overpriced but if you can get it on sale and are not looking for any special features its a decent buy.

Not what i thought it was going to be.

The image is very clear and a great quality resolution.

Definitely not a factory look

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided against attempting an install; Too many exposed wires, mirror slapped on a mirror look and most importantly the rear camera bracket requred a 'scabbed on' mount near the license plate area in tailgate (Toyota Highlander) which was going to be problematic for security and to not block license plate lights or the latch assembly. I also didn't like the fact the cable to the rear camera was going to be exposed at the tailgate hinge area and subject to kinking or other damage over time. No ability for it to record when car is off if bumped and no storage in a cloud. If unit is stolen you have lost all data.

It sounds like you're having some setup issues, with the dashcam mounted and wired correctly you will have none of the issues you've described. In the dashcam's description, it does not say that the unit comes with any cloud capabilities so I apologize if you misunderstood the dashcam's features. Just after the return policy at Best Buy expired. Warranty service is horrible by The manufacture. buyer beware do not buy this camera. And the price is ridiculous even on sale.
