2k Sports did an epic job on this one! By far the best basketball game to date... aside from NBA Jam ;p. What I like is how much control you actually have over the game, you really do control the outcome of the game. It's not to easy but not impossible.

I'm a newbie at basketball games but I decided to give this game a go. I had a lot of fun playing it, although I spent the the most of my time in the MyCareer mode. The graphics are amazing and the storyline associated with MyCareer is fun but a little ridiculous.

Best basketball game out. Great graphics, gameplay, controller and online play. Still not a fan of the franchise mode (nothing beats the old Madden games or NBA Live). Overall, I really enjoy the game.

I have been playing 2k basketball for several years, and this is definitely the best version they have put out. The gameplay is very similar to current gen (which is a positive in my book), with a few upgrades/tweaks. Graphics are phenomenal and could be considered the best of any game on next gen systems. I do have to point out that the games modes are not as in depth as current gen versions, and I hate how much they are pushing their in game currency (VC). Unless you are willing to grind out several hours to improve your player/GM, you are going to wind up paying for in game funding. Overall, I think this is their best effort yet, and I'm excited to see how they improve going forward.

I traded NBA Live 14 for this 2K and it is a huge difference in quality graphics are better gameplay is better controls are better everything about this game is better, so if you want to purchase a next gen basketball game DO NOT go with NBA Live! Just a waste of money get NBA 2K 14 blows it away by far.

The game is deeply enjoyable and satisfying - it's gorgeous, too, and there are so many modes it's hard to get bored. HOWEVER - most modes require a connection to 2K's servers which are down seemingly a few times per week. This means you can't play MyCareer (it's a single-player mode but requires the in-game currency to be linked to 2K's servers), play with updated rosters (even if you've downloaded a new, custom roster) or do pretty much anything beyond a quick exhibition match. Put it this way - the connectivity issues are bad enough that I won't be buying 2K15 until I hear that it's more stable...Or I'll see if NBA Live 15 is worthwhile this year. Game itself - 9/10 Surrounding aspects of the game - 3/10 Overall - 6/10

Game play is fairly smooth. My career is pretty involved with my player getting better as the season goes on. Would be nice to have a simple season mode. Not a big fan of playing the gm mode to accomplish that. Overall and excellent game with stunning graphics.

NBA 2k14 for the PS4 is one of the best representations of next gen graphics, combined with a smooth frame rate that results in an ultra realistic presentation and experience. The game is fun, and has all the modes you expect from NBA 2k14. The graphics and presentation upgrades make the jump to next gen worth the price. They are only scratching the surface, which is exciting! The biggest negative to me is the my player mode dialogue and the micro transaction format. It can be difficult to grind your way through the mode to upgrade your player. This may be an intentional ploy to try to get you to purchase points as opposed to earning them. I'm not biting. Don't encourage more of this in the future!

Fantastic game, MyPlayer mode is great, build a NBA star from the ground up. Sprite's Park is fun, online multiplayer street ball. Controls are fairly intuitive, and advanced players can get way in-depth with advanced moves. The only downside is some of the cutscenes are really, REALLY strange. In some instances, your created player moves his mouth and talks just fine, but the person he is talking to will reply only with text and awkward head bobs. Some scenes feel cut short, and transition into additional scenes that seem entirely unrelated. This doesn't affect the gameplay at all I don't think, but makes the whole player experience a little...awkward. Overall, a great game. If my disc broke, I'd still buy another, awkward cut scenes and all.

Play this game with my nephews and enjoyed game play. Did not like the season game play where you have to create your own player in order to play the whole season, they should have the option to create a player or to play the whole season without create a player.

The graphics look so amazing compared to the PS3 edition and with the stellar play by play commentary, if somebody walked by they would swear you were watching a real game. The game play is just what you come to expect from NBA 2K series.

If you are looking to get your hoop fix on the ps4, by all means purchase this game, you will be satisfied. Just beware that the ps4 version has terrible presentation and horrific menu navigation. The game modes will keep you coming back, but prepare for some poor AI and meaningless negative grades in myplayer mode. Nba 2k14 feels a little rushed on the ps4. If they can imporve particular things for next year this game will be must own, but until then if you need your nba fix go and get this game

I wanted to try out a good basketball game and came across this for 9.99. Amazing price for a great game. I'm tempted to pick up the newer version coming out this year to try out the online features.

This is a awesome basketball game. The graphics at some points seem real. It is very realistic, from passing to shooting to running the court. If your into ball and dont have this game, GET IT!!!!
