We have had our Robovac for about 2 months and we absolutely love love love it! She starts cleaning our hardwood floor in the living and dining room then our tile floor in the kitchen and then finishes up by cleaning our carpeted family room. It is so nice to come home to a clean home. She picks up everything and the edge sweeper is the best part of having a robovac, she even gets those dusty corners. We also take her to our 2nd floor carpeted bedrooms and she leaves beautiful vacuumed lines. Love the app as you can program the vac and or start or pause it as well. You also get notifications that she is doing cleaning. Our lower level is about 1800sq ft and she cleans in about 90min or so. Love that she can last even longer. Best gift ever!

Overall:We bought this amazing robot vacuum a few weeks ago and I can’t tell you how much we love it! The installation was super easy and the app looks very nice. The app: very nice looking and useful app! It lets you look at the cleaning history (both duration and area size of every run as well as the averages). It lets you schedule runs for specific dates and times (you can set several different runs eg one for during the week and one for the weekend etc). It also tells you the battery % and status of your Neato and lets you start, pause and stop the cleaning process. All in all, I think the app is great but I do wish it would show you a map of where it cleaned and where it is at the Moment (while cleaning). However, as of right now, I believe there’s no vacuum robot that does this. Cleaning: Neato cleans so well! It has no problem going from our dark hardwood floor, to the light tiles in the bathroom and then even on to our fluffy carpet in the bedroom! We had a different brand vacuum robot before which wasn’t able to clean our very fluffy carpet in the bedroom but Neato has no problem with that at all! And every time we clean the dirt bin (after approx 2 runs), we are amazed how much Neato picks up! However, the thing I love most about Neato is that it has a cleaning pattern and doesn’t just randomly drive around! It measures 15 sq feet at a time with its laser and then starts with the edges. Once the edges are cleaned it cleans the rest of the area in back and forth movements (think of it as large 0 shapes). And it knows exactly where it has been! Once it got stuck (my fault, I didn’t hide a cable well enough) it ran out of battery before being able to finish cleaning the apartment. No problem at all for Neato, it easily finds its docking station, charges until approx 80% and then goes right to the spot where it left off! Amazing robot! I would highly recommend this to my friends and family! It’s a bit pricier than other options out there but it’s definitely worth it!

Purchased on fairly deep discount via a sale to help out with the choir of vacuuming. Quite sure I could not afford the luxury of a robot vacuum cleaner at anything close to MSRP and even with the big savings my wife is skeptical of the whole endeavor. Random thoughts: Seems to clean pretty well (which is the whole point), seamlessly transitions from carpets to hard surfaces, app is pretty intuitive and works well, it has yet to get stuck navigating or get itself in trouble due to the laser navigation, is reasonably quiet, has a big enough bin to do the job, battery is big enough to handle my house, etc. So to sum it up, I have no complaints on my purchase so far, but it hasn't totally justified it's existence for my wife and I can't give a perfect review until I've had it for longer and better understand the total cost of ownership over the life of the product.

My wife had been asking for a robot vac for a couple years. My impression was that they ran out of juice quickly and did not clean well. Maybe that was the first generation of bots, but the whole ballgame has changed. I compared the Neato vs. Roomba and picked the Neato primarily because of its square design which seems to help it easily get into tight corners to clean thoroughly. We sometimes have pets in the house and the hair accumulates on the floor agains the wall and in corners. When our Neato goes around, it gets every strand and runs for a long while... 90 minutes or so... without needing a recharge. Generally we have him run 3-4 times per week and does a really nice job of keeping the floors clean. No grit and a pleasure to walk around the house barefoot. We've had it about a week and have been impressed with its performance and ease of use via the app. Highly recommend.

I love my Neato and use it every other day. It took 1 cleaning to learn the house, then I could setup no go lines and they work to avoid areas. It cleans my entire first level on a charge and then the upstairs on another of which I have to carry it upstairs. It handles all types of carpet and non carpet floors. I have a dog and it does a good job of picking up all the pet hair. I ran my standard vacumn a day after using Neato and had hardly anything picked up so I am impressed and thankful to own this! I love the fact that it cleans 1 room at a time leaves nice lines in my carpet and also will change direction the next time it cleans. The Alexa apps works good as well, some say the skill wont use your vacumns name but I think that was fixed because I just tell alexa "tell Baxtor to clean the house" and it responds with Neato and starts the vacumn.

My wife and i have a two story home. We run this primarily on our first floor. The floor plan is open with door ways and various types of furniture. It also has multiple types of flooring from hardwood with runners to medium pile carpet. It does an absolutely fantastic job. It navigates well through difficult areas and transitions with ease. It vacuums approximately 750 sq ft in a little over an hour and always has 30-40% of its battery left. Only once or twice has it gotten into an area it couldn't get itself out of. This was our 2nd attempt at a robotic vacuum. Our first was the neato d85. That model died before it ever finished, never vacuumed in a pattern as advertised, and got hung up multiple times each time we ran it. We returned that one to buy this one reluctantly because of the additional cost but it was completely worth it. We have a dog and three cats and before we were constantly vacuuming. Now the house is being cleaned while we're eating breakfast or getting ready for work. I can't recommend it enough! It's wonderful!

This vacuum does a great job. Comes with extra filters. Last about an hour. Finds its docking station everytime it's done. I have one on each floor. The app is great. Can see where it went and vacuumed. If it sucks something up it shouldn't it will notify you where it's at and turn off. I bought it on sale, great buy. Only 4 stars because it gets stuck occasionally on my stools. Since then I have made that a no zone and it knows not go by them.

Initial problem with pairing. Customer service very helpful. Unfortunately my router would not pair. My cable company switched our router to an Arris and we are now in business. The bot “Rosie” does a great job. Does our 1800 sq. Ft house on one recharge, and picks up a surprising amount of debris. We run her every other day, when she’s done our wood floors look great. Would recommend to anyone.

I purchased the product a few weeks ago, and my review is based on recent use. The vacuum cleaner is easy to set up, and after it was charged, it up and running quickly. It does a great job, and I am amazed at how much debris it picks up when used every couple of days (I have two people in the house and no pets). I purchased it because we will be adopting a dog in a couple of weeks. The vacuum is somewhat loud and would suggest using it while you are away or sleeping on a different floor. It took me a couple of cycles to "learn" how to prepare the area for cleaning, such as pushing in chairs and closing doors where the cleaning is not needed. You will need to service the sensors now and then so it will run efficiently. I have contacted Neato support, and I will give them rave reviews. They followed up with me via email to make sure their suggestions solved my problem.

After doing a ton of research on different robotic vacuums in all price ranges, I decided that I wanted to stick to a maximum of $600. After narrowing my search to that price range I read hundreds of reviews. I found that most of the less than optimal reviews for this particular vacuum stemmed from issues that were NOT related to the unit itself, most of them had to do with the surface being cleaned - this unit doesn't work well on long shag carpets, internet glitches - this vac needs a wifi connection to map the floor and other user related issues. All in all, the Neato Robotics D5 Connected performed better than I had expected. It even cleans under the beds - something we hadn't done in ages. The gentle navigation mode keeps it from bashing into furniture (this was an issue with other brands). The "no-go" lines that you can draw in the app to keep it out of certain areas (away from dog's water bowl, out of the bathroom, etc.) are MUCH MUCH better than other units that use magnetic strips or unsightly towers.

This vacuum works great on all kinds of surfaces (wood, tile, marble, carpet, rug). It has powerful suction and relatively large bin capacity. It’s amazing how much dust this picks up. You can schedule cleanings at preferred day and times. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. First, it can get stuck on long strands of thick rugs or loose strings or laces and will “call” for help. Secondly, it can get stuck in really tight spaces if it can’t get out. Lastly, the battery lasts about an hour which is ok for small apartments but has trouble cleaning medium/large homes in a single pass (but it will go back to the base to recharge itself and resume from where it left off)

After using this Neato d5 vacuum for several months, I can honestly say I’m very impressed. I have a dog that sheds quite a bit, and this unit picks up an unheard of amount of dog hair. I am continuously amazed every time I go to empty the receptacle how much it picks up! It’s very intelligent and knows where to go and how to get back to it’s base. I’m very happy with everything about it; from the ability to use a smartphone to get it going, to its battery life.

Very good robot vacuum. Upgraded from an old neato robot to this. Now it has wifi capability and will give you notifications if it has finished cleaning your house. Battery life on this one is better than the other models and can clean my house with one full charge. Again, satisfied with product and bestbuy for the convenience of acquiring this tech.

I had a Botvac D80 for about 2 and a half years. It finally broke for good after having to replace the battery every 6 months (nickle battery). The D5 was a massive upgrade in that department. The lithium ion is sooo much better and the unit now maps things out. I also love being able to access it via my smartphone instead of the tiny little menu on the botvac itself. Cleans 1000 square feet every 3 days and doesn't miss a beat.

This wonderful device (Wall-e) now cleans my 1600 foot upper floor on a 2 times a week schedule and with no intervention on my part other than emptying the dust bin in the evening. It now does the entire floor on one charge and one dust bin. It took 5 complete passes to get the floor to this state. The first complete passes filled the dust bin and required emptying 2-3 times before the pass could finish. (I didn't think the house was that dirty) The process of getting Wall-e to make a pass without getting stuck was fun, I had to learn where it could get to cords (and how to place them so he would not), and how to put my shoe string out of the cleaning path. He also got places the Rumba could not. This process did not take long, He was very good at training me to clear his path. I only had to move one piece of furniture about 1/4" closer to the wall other wise it was just neatening cords that is should have done in the first place. I also like the NEATO much better than the RUMBA. The Scanning and much more orderly, and in my eyes complete, process appears to catch thing my Rumba missed. Wall-e had no issues with the down staircase and has not gone over the edge. The magnetic strip that is the boundary fence is also much easier and far less intrusive than the Rumba electronic fence. There is also the difference in price that makes it very hard to justify the additional cost of a Rumba. If you are looking into one of these machines, i would highly recommend the Neato D5 over the Rumba.

We recently upgraded to this product from the Neato D80. Installation was quick and easy and the bot app is easy to manage and straight forward. I like that this product included premium filters because we have a dog and i have severe allergies and premium filters are a must. Great cleaning and battery will last for the entire cleaning of my home.

I think this is a very good robotic vacuum. I wish I had bought one sooner. I almost went with the Samsung R7070 because the self cleaning roller, this one you have to remove the roller like most traditional vac but no tool are required. Laser navigation is awesome. There’s no real reason to pay extra for the D6 or D7 because the latest software update give the D5 almost all the same options/no go lines etc. The D6, D7 have slightly better battery life which is mute because it will stop and return to base recharge and continue where left off if your home is extremely large. I got this on sale over X-mas for$349 and at this price it’s 5 stars. At retail price maybe not. Self cleaning brush would make this 5 stars. For now 4 star until Neato helps us with that, especially if you have long dog hair or women’s weave in your home.

I bought this on a whim and couldn't be happier with this purchase. We have hardwood floors throughout the downstairs and this vacuum cleans the whole floor on one charge in about 1.5 hours. Our Dyson cordless V8 unit doesn't come close (though, it is handy For quick pick ups and stairs). As for the Neato D5 Connected, I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

This vacuum is great for daily maintenance. I really like the virtual no-go lines. It provides a map of what it cleaned each time it finishes. This model seems quieter than my previous Neato, and it has a higher dirt capacity and battery life. This is a must have if you have dogs.
