Google Assistant might activate when you didn't intend it to because it incorrectly detected that you wanted its help - for instance when there is a noise that sounds like ""Hey Google,"" or you manually activate your device accidentally. If that happens, and your Web & App Activity is turned on, you can say, ""Hey Google, that wasn't for you,"" and the Assistant will delete what you said from My Activity. You can also review and delete your Assistant interactions in My Activity at any time. If Google Assistant activates when you didn't intend it to, and your Web & App Activity setting is disabled, your Assistant interaction will not be stored in My Activity. To better tailor Google Assistant to your environment, you can adjust how sensitive your Assistant is to activation phrases (like ""Hey Google"") through the Google Home app for smart speakers and smart displays.
We keep your personal information private, safe, and secure. By default, we don't retain your audio recordings on Google servers. You can decide to save your audio in your Google Account to make Google speech products more helpful to you and better for everyone. Visit your data in the Assistant to learn more about how your data makes the Assistant work for you.

Set it up to control many items. But at the same time not all that necessary you can do all this on your phone.....

Wow! Truly an assistant as long as it doesn’t become HAL.

Being able to ask for any music to play in the background really enhances relaxation and enjoyment in just sitting and reading in my living room . Also, makes dining really enjoyable since you can fit the music the mood. Love this device and will later expand its abilities with learning how to use it to control lighting etc.
