I bought this unit to extend coverage in not just the house, but to the detached garage and yard area, and it did just that! Installation was simple even for me, who by no means is tech savvy. Internet speeds are consistent to what I had previously, with no drip off. So far, all is good!

This is truly the best mesh system I have used. I am so happy that I went through with the gut instinct when it was on sale for $149. The rang is truly incredible. I wasn't able to stand in the street right outside my house before (the street is about 20 feet from my house - tiny yard) Now, I can walk a few houses over and still have signal! Before, when I was using eero, I was running into lag and congestion, but once plugged in the Google Mesh system, lag and congestion is no more! Cannot say enough about this product. I am ready to get another point! In terms of speed, it ranges anywhere from 700 Mbps - 900 Mbps over Wi-Fi, and around 1 Gbps over Ethernet. I couldn't ask for a better Wi-Fi system. Beyond happy with my purchase.

We have a 2 story home and needed the extra assistance with wifi. These were the easiest to install and the Google Assist is an awesome add on. The wifi in our home couldn't be any faster and these work amazing with all wifi products. Nest products all the way.

Works great to fill a long narrow house. Don't be fooled by square foot estimates of coverage. A real house has walls, bathrooms, kitchen cupboards, etc....that block wifi signals. My friend just bought a house, 2100 sq. ft and her old router did not provide a strong enough signal to the far end...which was about 70 feet from the router. This Nest Wifi 2 pack did the job. The main router unit was in her office at one end of the house, and the second 'point was about 30' away...close to mid house. Now the extreme end of the house gets a strong signal and very good speed. Mission accomplished. BTW, this is a one storey house, just long and narrow. Speaking to the 'point' saying hey google is a bonus feature. I've never set one up before, and the 'app' loaded onto an ipad was straightforward to follow. Took me not more than 30 minutes. I was not happy with my Linksys router I've had for the past couple of years. The WiFi was not as fast or reliable as I had expected. The WiFi would disconnect out of nowhere and my nest thermostat would get disconnected for no apparent reason and was a mission to connect it back again. So I decided to go with the Google Nest WiFi and it has not disappointed. Love the simplicity of it and the sleek look. Setup was a breeze and had WiFi up and running in no time. Once I had everything setup, I did a speed test but still was not getting the speeds I was paying for. I did a quick power reboot on my modem and that did the trick. Before I could not get download speeds of over 80 mbps and now with Google WiFi I am getting over 200 mbps! Love this product and definitely recommend it to anyone out there looking for something sleek, compact and that performs well!

I recently upgraded to gig speed but was still having connection issues in two places due to my AT&T "gateway" being underpowered. I debated just buying a better router but decided a Mesh system would be easier and probably give me better results. I have a two story with a basement so I have the main hub on the first floor and then a satellite in the basement and one on the second floor. All of my connection issues are now gone. Install was fairly easy. You need to make sure that you disable the wifi on you existing router and then you can give the Nest router the same wifi name and password so that all of your devices automatically connect to it. I have over 40 devices when you count smart plugs and lights and things. The satellites act as a Google home speaker device which is nice as you can use them to play music and things. I prefer the Alexa app over the Google home app though. I am getting true gig speed to the router but I typically only get around 700 when running speed tests on my devices but it may be the number of devices or their capability. Either way 700 mps at the device is still very fast. I would recommend these especially to someone not evrly techy because they are pretty easy to set up

Ease of use, setup and function is Excellent. I use alongside a Motorola modem. The router and modem are on the first floor and I have an add-on point placed on second and third floor of my townhome. No longer have dead zones and now have consistent signal throughout my home.

Works great covering my 2000sf home. Base is in front corner, access point rear 2nd floor. I get download speed almost the same as hardwired connectsions all over the house. Only down side is one Ethernet port. You will need a switch for everything else that's on Ethernet. Setup was super easy.

Really good equipment, enough range and the speaker and distance that can reach it is really impressive

Again, easy set up, It took 24 hours for the internet speed to come up to full speed, but now I have coverage from the street to the end of the property with ease. The only thing I wish this had was more ethernet outputs. It only has one, so you may need to add on a splitter

Very easy set up, great integration with the google smart devices and “hey google” smart speaker. We immediately saw an increase in speeds and better coverage through out the house and the connectivity with our ring camera system. Great product.

I was constantly having to reboot my former router. This mesh system has worked rock solid, not one time has my network went down, and the coverage is excellent in a large home. I now have a strong signal wherever I am in the home. I've noticed a huge boost in my Wi-Fi speed as well. With all of the work-from-home due to COVID-19, I had so many people on the network, it previously created congestion. No longer. I did have several devices that needed a wired connection (security system, home automation, VOIP phone, etc.) but this device only has one ethernet port.. The way around it is I shut off the Wi-Fi radio in my old router, plugged it into the Nest ethernet port, and was able to use the 4 port switch on my old router for all my wired devices. Works great!

This is just what the doctored ordered for resolving our house WiFi access issues. Our house is a traditional two story. However, the router is levanted in the finished basement office at one end of the house. No matter how good thew router it could not reach the bedrooms with a sufficient enough signal to allow good streaming or data access. I installed the Google Mesh system with the router in the basement, the one Add on point in the living room of the 1st floor and the second add on point in the middle bedroom on the 2nd floor. Voila... with a student home streaming games, videos and school, a daughter working from home and constantly on video calls and well as my wife and I both working from home we have very few issues. Our biggest challenge is Verizon FIOS going off line every so often. Easy to install and set up. Took about 30 minutes all in and works really well with Google Nest system.

It's pretty good but not that much better than my old Google Wifi system. The only reason I upgraded was because my Google Wifi System died after 5 years. Nest is a good thing for big homes to extend your signal. It does the job but the added function of having the Google Assistant doesn't appeal to me so I turned it off.

Much better than my old Linksys 1200AC router. Range and speed are very good. Installation and operations are simple (but do it on a phone that has access to the Internet because it wants to contact Google during the installation process before the Nest has access to it). The only downside is for me is that there is no Browser management app for it, but you don't have much detailed control over it anyway. When you google around, you find people who say they have problems because the Nest only shows one network name rather than the two that other routers show (one for the 2.4GHz band and one for the 5GHz). There is no way to force a device onto the 2.4GHz band. The Nest assigns devices to bands on the fly. This might cause problems if you're trying to set up a device (like a video doorbell) that only supports 2.4 GHz and the Nest has assigned the phone you're using to set the device up to the 5Hz network and your device demands that they both be on the same network. I avoided any such problems by assigning the network ID and password to the ones I had on my old 2.4GHz network so I didn't have to re-setup any devices.

I’m not one to leave reviews online, but in this case I must! I live in a concrete apartment where the wifi signal from my ISP’s modem didn’t reach the last room, which is set up as my wife’s Mary Kay office. This caused a huge issue since after the quarantine, everything she does is through video calls. We were receiving unsteady 15mbps which wasn’t enough so I was on the search for an extender and decided to give this one a try. Extremely easy install and set up process. Connected the main nest point via ethernet on the center of the apartment and connected the extender point in her office (blends right in with decorations). Immediately after, we were now receiving 200mbps steady on her phone and macbook. Needless to say, it was definitely worth it! As a plus, it also works as a speaker for Pandora and Spotify so I saved money on that since she also wanted one. I’ll give it 5 starts all around. Excellent product for my scenario!

Finally I can connect to my wifi from anywhere in the house. Strong signal and setup is stupid easy. Manageable from google app on phone. Expandable but pricey. Only one auxiliary 5e port so plan on adding a switch/hub if you need more connections.

We had the old version of the Nest Wifi and were very happy with it. When the newer version came out, and on sale, we decided it was time to upgrade. We purchased this set plus 2 additional hubs. Our house is wide and the 3 would do okay, but the 5 are fantastic.

Google's Nest Wifi is about as simple and speedy as mesh routers get, and it anchors Google's smart home ecosystem better than anything else.
