For the most part, ir works great. Easy to install. We have lost connection a few times, which is challenging working from home. This happened at first but seems to be working fine now. Veey fast. The other issue is the ring doorbell lost connection and we are working on fixing that problem. Would recommend.

Honestly its overkill for my small apartment because the range is very good and brought my speeds up a lot. Love that the AP comes with the google voice thing. Was very easy to set up and the app pretty much does it for you, you just have to plug it in and boom.

Typical of all manufacturers Google overstates this devices capability and claims this device is a gigabit unit and sufficient for a 5400 ft2 (the one with router + 2 mesh points). In reality this is good for 100 mb/s and does the job perfectly in my 2000 ft2 home. It took some experimentation but I now get 5 bars everywhere in my house. My week link was bedroom TV where the signal had to go through kitchen wall lined with appliances. I found that placing a mesh right next to the BR TV did a much better job than placing it in hall way near the bedroom with a direct line of site to Nest router. So the unit, its installation and its performance all hit the mark but not at the manufacturers claim but in real world setup I just explained. It gets 4 stars because of misleading advertisement.

Excellent WiFi coverage and speed. Setup is not quite as easy as they would have you believe, but it is easier than many others. Price is higher than some others but with the good performance and the bonus of google assistant built in it’s worth buying.

The mesh system works great. Before this, I had 2 Nighthawk R7000 and CM1000 modem. This setup required some advanced tweaking in comparison to the Google Mesh setup. And in comparison, the Google Nest Wifi setup was easier to setup and the speed across devices is also much faster regardless of the range. The access point comes with Google Assistant built in so that's a huge plus if you are trying to setup smart speakers throughout your house. I have my Alexa devices connected to my point via Bluetooth so I can play music in all my devices including Alexa devices. The Google WiFi app is fast and responsive as well and you can use that to manage all your WiFi settings. I have the Router connected to my Xfinity Xfi Gateway and my internet speed isn't throttled--i get 600-800 Mbps in my wireless devices even if its connected to the AP wifi. Wired-in, I get 900+ as promised by my ISP.

I know I'm knocking this a star, but that has more to do with the value than the anything else. Super easy to use and setup to create a mesh wifi throughout the house. The fact that the point doubles as a Google Assistant is nice, though I wish the point allowed for it to be wired with a ethernet cable, so you weren't so dependent on the point piggybacking off of the router's wifi. The router has nice range, so this has never been an issue, but as somone who does have CAT-5 drops in almost everyone room in the house, it would have been nice to wire it in. A did take a star off as there are cheaper options out there that basically do the same thing. The Nest Wifi scores points for it being so easy to set up and work though, and if you are rather deep into the Google Ecosystem (like I am) then the cost is easier to get over. It also would have been nice to have had two points included, instead of just the one, which would have flipped the script on the value side.

Very easy to use and setup in the google app. Just with you could use a ethernet cord to connect them all instead of just a wireless connection but works perfectly at my grandparents house and the two secondary units come with google nests built in.

I have seen some improvement in WiFi coverage as compared to my standalone Netgear router, but not a significant jump. Some devices still have trouble latching on to the WiFi signal but when they do, the speeds are impressive! With "Switch to mobile data (aggressive mode)" turned on, my Android phone sometimes fails to connect to WiFi even at 10 feet from the router/point. When it does however, the speed is almost fast as a wired connection (I pay for 100 Mbps but routinely get 115-120 Mbps). The Google Assistant on the point is a nice bonus but not something I would base my decision on. The ability to pause WiFi on select devices and to view each device's data consumption are valuable features. I wish Google would combine everything into the Google Home app rather than have us use two different apps to accomplish different things. A bit pricey though!

I thought the problem with slow internet was with Xfinity (OK, they had a role too), but the biggest bottleneck turned out to be my Linksys EA9500 router. I couldn't reliably get above 150 MB/s or sustain that speed for a, now mandatory, Zoom call. Everything kept dropping. I upgraded to 1G with Xfinity - no help. I decided to try swapping the router. My daughter had great luck with these in a smaller house, so I gave them a shot. With no external antennae, I didn't expect much. However, they were super easy to set up. All of my IoT devices joined quickly, and throughput is consistently around 700 MB/s. I've had them for over a month - and am completely satisfied and impressed.

I was a little skeptical to try these, but my brother got them and raved about them. Since my last router died, I figured why not give it a shot. Glad I did. Super easy setup, and the speeds and coverage is incredible. Can't recommend these enough.

So I purchased the set of 3 just moved in to a bigger home and my signal is so good. Best purchase ever. Also I have the best hello and Nest cameras and Nest home ( screens ) they all work together and it’s just not Nest mesh routers it’s also a speaker where u can ask google anything. U can play music the sound is amazing. Also I have the best Hello doorbell and when someone’s rings it my Nest mesh system also works as a speaker so it will announce someone is at the front door. So happy I’m getting another add on point it reaches very good but my home is bigger and at 1 little section of the house it’s weak but it’s not the system it’s that my house is bigger and going to purchase another point. I love all Google Nest products. Some people may think it’s pricey but their products are amazing that I don’t mind also they are constantly having updates to improve.

The setup was very easy. The Nest mesh routers really helped eliminate “dead spots” around the house. From gaming to streaming everyone in the house gets the fastest speed without connection issues. I wish I had bought this sooner.

I've been looking into a mesh wifi set up for awhile. I had the need to replace my current setup, so I decided to go for it. I have no more bandwidth issues. I have the router in the main room, a satellite in another living area and the second satallite in the hallway between my kids' bedrooms. It works amazing. Good coverage everywhere. The Google home app is easy to use. I wish it had the ability to only have the guest wifi on during certain times, rather than having it on all the time. Small issue that is not a deal breaker. Love this and would recommend. It's also cool because they have a speaker built in so you can stream music and have the equivalent to an Alexa in each room. Definitely worth the extra money in the price. Mesh is the future so if you need to upgrade or replace what you have, do it now and save money in the futue.

Great Router but Lacks Customization Options

I've been using the Nest WiFi for about a month now, I don't have a huge area to cover but I was getting inconsistent performance from my last router and I liked that I could add a lot of devices to this system (since I have a lot of smart switches, outlets, etc). My last router was a Nighthawk router that I really liked and I'm definitely more technical than most users, so it was quite a bit of a change to give up control over the configuration. Nest WiFi is extremely limited on what you can set up, so you basically have to like the way they set up the router. One thing I don't like is not having separate 2.4GHz/5GHz names, it makes it more difficult to set up smart gadgets that require the 2.4GHz band, and I've also had some connectivity issues with my Android phone that I think is related to switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Overall it works well and the speeds are generally good, but I just can't stand the lack of customization.

Great Mesh system to work with existing Home WiFi, creating a solution for my wife and I where we have our own WiFi connection for our work from home situation. With a house of 6 and tons of electronic devices, our system we installed when we built our house could get bogged down. My wife and I needed a solution as we are now working from home, and the Google Nest WiFi Mesh system has improved our work experience 10 times over. It was super easy to setup, gives us consistent speeds and connection, and it even has speakers built into each unit! Great purchase and I would recommend to anyone looking for an easy setup.

The Nest WiFi system is a moderate improvement over the original Google WiFi, speeds are better , range is really no different, in my home anyway. I do not use Google home so it was nice to see you can turn off the microphone, though it did still randomly ask me if I wanted to play music, it will still alert you if there is a problem with the mesh system or router even with the microphone off. I do not like always on listing devices, my wife has an Alexa Echo and it will sometimes start answering a question that wasn't asked, even without saying "Alexa" . The system setup using the Google Home up was simple and painless, took all of 15 minutes to set up. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend the Nest system. The only concern is that it will last longer than my Google WiFi system, after just under 3 years the WiFi point started dying first 1, then a few weeks later another one died. tech support couldn't help and did reemphasize that they are out of warranty.
