    Great until a firmware update

    I can no longer use my 7 Nest Wi-Fi's as they become slow and drop connections. So, I must buy a new system after spending a lot on this one. It is less than a year old and worked great for 10 months. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ONE! You will be so sorry if you do. Hundreds of posts to Google and they have not fixed it since March. They can't even do a simple firmware rollback!

    Broke with latest update. Can't even do 100mbps

    Lots of people complaining that latest update broke their wifi. Myself included. It's been broken for weeks for me, months for others and still no fix from google. https://support.google.com/googlenest/thread/34532153?hl=en

    Google customer service ghosts you when it breaks

    Worked great for 11 months. Now the router itself constantly fails, with no ability to control or reset it through the app. Have to manually reset multiple times a day. Customer service wanted to monitor it's behavior before sending a replacement and is now ghosting.

    Never Could Get it Connected.

    Most frustrating afternoon I've spent in a LONG time. Never could get it set up. Even after several calls to Spectrum and Google. I'm taking it back and getting something else.

    They are junk poor range, less than 25 feet. Have to reset at least once a day. Talked to Google twice, still not working

    Useless for home devices, no practical 2.4ghz

    Doesn't work at 2.4ghz, so useless for most home devices (ie light switches). Google help told me I would have to buy a second router for this to work.

      Nest Wifi system utilizes a feature called proactive band steering – directs your devices to channels with the best performance. If it detects that your 5 GHz would provide a clearer and faster Wi-Fi connectivity, it will proactively switch your connected devices to 5 GHz band.

      If your home is more than 2,200 sq ft., then you may need to add a Nest Wifi Point to your existing Nest Wifi Router to provide a better Wi-Fi signal coverage area.
