Google Nest Wifi and Google Wifi are mesh Wi-Fi systems and do not need to be physically wired together via Ethernet cables to provide whole-home coverage. However, if you prefer to connect directly to your Google Nest Wifi router or Google Wifi point, here are some possible setups:
- Chain multiple Google Nest Wifi routers and/or multiple Google Wifi points together.
- Connect devices like a computer or TV directly into the LAN port of your Google Nest Wifi router or Google Wifi point. You can connect additional devices by adding LAN ports with a switch.
- Use third-party routers as part of your network.

great mesh system

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this thinking i could replace n AC1750.After a week and a frustrating setup, i purchased an Eero just in case i couldn't get this to work. did a reset of the router and two points and tried one last time and got it to finally setup. Approximately 3 weeks later, i notice one of the points randomly went offline. Then 2 days later my other point goes offline and neither will reconnect. Call Google support on two different occasions and they cannot seem to get it to work either. For this to be marketed as a simple install this is a lot to go through to get it to work properly. Will most likely be returning this item and going back to my old AC1750 that worked without an issue. I would take a slightly slower speed that i have a signal versus paying this amount of money for something to possibly not even stay connected.
