    Inconsistent speeds and drops connections

Had over 60 mbps input from the cable modem but was lucky to receive 30 mbps through the wireless connection. Max range on this was ~30' for a signal to not drop out which is no where close to a whole house coverage as stated on the packaging. Speeds would be 30 mbps one minute the next it would be 2 mbps. Kept getting error that webpage was not accessible but could be accessed when a refresh command was sent. Have had problems with Netgear products in the past and this one was no different. Have switched to a more stable and less expensive router from a competitor and returned the Netgear R6250 router to Best Buy and got a refund.

Works as expected. But its range is not as long as I would have liked.

After months of hearing "I can't get any wifi or it just keeps lagging" i bit the bullet and got the Netgear router. Even with slower provider service, everything works great, even when all 6 of us are connected...

Before purchase I had problems with both my computer speed and also my reception on DirecTV. After installation, the speed of my computer really increased and scrolling problems disappeared. Also picture buffering on my TV as well as inability to replay programs were solved.

When my last router died I needed a replacement that could keep up with gaming and streaming but didn't have a huge budget to work with. This Netgear unit was reasonably priced and has never missed a step during intense gaming sessions or streaming movies. Worth every penny!

Pros: Strong widespread wifi signal over 5G Aesthetically looks very nice. Very easy to setup Cons: 1. Loses wifi signal atleast once a week. Have to reboot the device 2. No parental control 3. No access control, meaning, cannot allow/block a user on the network. Manual says it can but the current latest firmware does not have the option. Called tech support and the techy dude at the end said he cannot figure it out and that it..The case was closed. Ended up returning the item. 4. The phone app is sub-par and take forever to make changes. 5. Overall a bad product that I wouldn't recommend to anyone

This is a good router to use at home or at work. It gives a strong fast internet connection for multiple devices. Once it cut out and was slow and barely working but I don't know if it was my internet provider or what. It worked completely fine other than that one mishap.

This is a good product, I can say that this is just fairly good product, had initial problem during the first few days where the internet in 5hgz is always being lost, while 2.4ghz still have internet, but it is now gone, I just don't know if it is just a configuration issue.

My son loves this gaming system. Of course, the reason he got a new system was because the warranty ran out on the old one THE DAY IT STOPPED WORKING, and was not renewable. It is pretty expensive if you can't wait for a black Friday sale or something like that.

This router is okay but not great. I don't get a very strong signal when I am in the back part of the house but I do get a strong signal when I am in the room where the router is located hence the average rating.

My old router of 6 years finally kicked the bucket so it was time to get a new one. Having upgraded broadband service I wanted to get a higher caliber router which this indeed offers. Setup was a breeze and the design is new and modern. So far so good.

...but I need to have a router that can tell me what is connected to the network. It was always missing things in the connected devices list that I knew were online. For someone who needs those IP addresses it's a big deal but if you don't, it's not such a bad deal.

Got this on sale and it's been easy breezy for a couple months now. Knock on wood. It's a router that performs well with a good easy interface. If your looking for the bells and whistles though this router doesn't mac filter and some other options are missing

Set aside some time to do the install. I needed to call Netgear support. to finalize the install. I am not able to attach an new Canon Imageclass Ethernet wired printer and scan back to a PC. Basic function with cell phone devises are adequate.

This router is a good addition to anyone's computer network that is running multiple devices at one time. There are many options also that can help with keeping unwanted user's from linking into your wi-fi, as well as letting guests use it when they are at your home.

My previous router suddenly just stopped working without any warning. So i quickly searched for a new one and came across this one. It's been real great and hasn't gave me 1 problem at all. It's been a little over a year since I purchased.

This Netgear wireless …router was easy to install (and we're not techies) and gives us the wi-fi connection we need, without our having to do anything. It's really nice to have a device that does what's it's supposed to do and we don't even have to think about it.

Had to buy a new router when my Netgear modem/router combo died less than a year old. At Best Buy's staff advice I bought separate components. Why they did not tell me a year ago I DKN! Fair router. Doesn't reach as far as my old 600 router.
