We needed a new and stronger router. We chose this one and have been very pleased with the performance. Good price, super easy to hook up and has worked perfectly as soon as we turned it on.

I bought this router a few weeks ago to accommodate several wireless security cameras around my home. I have 7 devices continuously connected via WiFi. 4 cameras, two printers, and a remotely connected desktop computer. About once a day the the router seems to drop and then reassign the IP address on one or the other of the of the cameras. The most vulnerable camera is one floor up right over the top of the router. I have to go into Genie and find what new IP address has been assigned. Not terrible but a bit of a pain. It is certainly possible that I have to much video running on WiFi and the router simply cannot accommodate the load. Thus 4 stars. Otherwise it's a good router and I like the lights on the top which display what's going on.

Old router had my speed up to 33mbps. With this I got up to 70mbps. Minimum. Definitely worth it. And I'm not one to just spend money left and right. I do my research. Definitely a GREAT buy

Be careful when looking at routers called an AC1750. This is one of those, but it is also known as an R6400v2. While competent and capable, it is not the best Netgear has to offer. I bought this to replace an older Netgear router that I use as a switch and Wireless Access Point. In that role, it is fine. As such, I am not currently using its USB ports, though I had considered using one to communicate with a printer and it is a handy feature to have available. I use it with its standard software and it performs well. I have had no problems connecting to it from quite a few locations within my home even though it is in the basement.

Great range. Third party net gear app is a little sluggish but that’s to be expected with pretty much every app that isn’t designed to suck money out of people.
