Nighthawk AC1900
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.was purchased on sale. After having it for a few months. I can say that setup was pretty simple (don't use the phone app) I used the NetGear genie app on my PC and setup was a breeze. ISP: Time Warner Didn't want to pay the "rental fee" for the wlone they provide and this one can handle the speed. Which us great incase we go higher than 200mb/s It has tools to change wifi channels for better connection with devices, box says it doesn't pair up with "wifi extenders" for some reason... But it does, supports 5g and 2.4g wifi and if your extensions support 5g. It too will pick up the signal. You can setup "Guest" wifi account if you dont trust those sketchy friends of yours..and you can kick devices off too. As far as the app goes. I still have it on my phone because its somewhat useful (ONCE) the device is setup. Yes. DL it. Use it to manage. For setup? NO dont use it for setup..(I'm referring to the app the box recommends) Netgear Genie (YES) NIGHTHAWK APP (NO) Over its a solid product, get it......on sale..like me. =] cheers.

good Modem / Router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Router/Modem first and it was fine until I found out it would not take the top speed of 1G. It did handle up to about 400 mbps. I did purchase the more pricey C7800 Netgear Nighthawk Cable Modem Router because I was going with the more powerful speeds. But for the lower speeds from Xfinity this Modem/Router is fine.

Get rid of your Comcast router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very nice to have a all in one unit for a cleaner installation, just a power cord and the coax. Speed is super fast, I get better than advertised speeds so I can't complain. Only negative is you can't update the firmware yourself, Comcast has to allow you to do it with an update. But outside of that, pretty awesome piece of equipment.

Decent router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this router to save money on my wireless internet bill by using my own router. Setting up the router was easy but I had problems connecting to the internet. I recommend calling the netgear customer service first before calling your internet provider. It took a while for me to speak to a representative, but when I did, they were able to solve the problem. Overall, I am happy with the product.

Works very well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The modem was easy to set up. I just had to call comcast to get a signal then use my computer to set up the wifi with the modem. You will have to be some what tech savvy and work at it to figure it out. Comcast was ready to give up on me and charge $80 to send someone out but I figure it out on my own. That just don't like you buying your own product.

Great modem/router for some
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this because I was hoping to stop paying for my modem from cable company at the same time needed new router. It worked great and I thought it would have the same port directing as the netgear nighthawk, but sadly it doesn't. There's four PS4's in our house and they all had nat type issues because it can not port correctly. Had to return and pick up the new netgear nighthawk which has no problem with multiple devices. Still a great modem/router and range was good even with no antennas.

Excellent Router/Modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We live in a medium-large home and our old router was not giving us the range we needed. We bought this and thought we were going to regret it. We were WRONG! This router reaches everywhere in the house! We have 10+ devices connected to it with very minimal interruptions in service. Highly recommend. We use it for gaming, streaming, browsing, and screen casting.

Netgear Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Glad I got my own hardware. Great for gaming and multiple people sharing the internet, at the same time! Have not had any issues, and I can brag to my neighbors that I never have down time like they do. Make your neighbors jealous, and download as much as you can!

Upgraded and couldn’t be happier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to believe that myth about most cable modem routers being cheap and inferior but after some further reading, I realized I was not correct in my past belief. I then purchased the AC1900 M/R and within a few days was admittedly impressed. I only have to purchase one unit and I’m getting consistantly strong signal throughout my entire home. Well done.

New router/ modem.East install.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old router/modem with this one. I was getting frequent and excessive lag with the old one. Since installing this new one, I have had one bit of lag, and it was minor. The old setup was so bad, that at times, the lag would actually cause me to lose connection with the gaming site I was logged into. My regret about this piece of equipment is; that I did not buy it sooner.
