I have a the average internet and this works amazing with 4k and gaming. Also multiple users. I had a basic router before and it's a bigger difference and greater distance.

Pricey but worth it. Absolutely no drop-out and lag is extremely rare. Supports at least 15 devices simultaneously with the beaming feature. I have it running one home network and one guest network without problems. I also use the ReadyPrint for wireless printing. The only issue is the ReadyShare storage feature. You're supposed to be able to set up your own cloud and even use it as a NAS. I spent hours trying to get this to work, working with multiple Netgear support reps, and was ultimately unsuccessful. Save yourself the headache and just pretend it doesn't have this feature. Overall I would definitely buy this router again.

It was very easy to set up and works great. We don’t really have to worry about range because we have it in our lake house which is kinda small but we have never had any issues.

It works fine and connects great the only problem I have for some reason it loses connection for a slit second and then pops right back up. Its weird I dont know if its an issue with the router or the modem but it works like a charm the rest of the time. When its working at 100% everything is fast and good. That App you use is pretty handy as well wish they had a mode where your can turn off the wifi at night and turn it on in the morning but they only have timer modes to shut down the wifi.

Quadrupled my speed at home. There are 4 important points I'd like to make: 1) All these years I paid for a 50mbps speed from my cable company. I had an older Netgear from 2009 which has served me well all these years (and still works) but I decided it was time to upgrade. Typically I was getting only 12-17mbps through my wi-fi (for example, to my iPhone6). After getting this Nighthawk Router, I now get 57mbps on the same iPhone. All of my devices are much faster now... PS4, iPhones, iPads, Epson Printer, Baby Monitor, Tablets, Roku 3 box, Roku Streaming Stick, etc... 2) Cables .... Please note, one other thing I did in addition to getting this router is that I also bought all new cat6 cables (from Amazon Basics), and that has helped the router to connect well to the cable modem. From the router itself, I have a few wired items (Roku 3 box, PS4, my PC). And note that I tested the Roku 3 box, PS4, and PC wirelessly as well. In all conditions, wired with Cat6 cables and/or wi-fi, this Nighthawk router has delivered the speeds I was missing for years. 3) Interface.... Also, I like the interface for setting up and using the router. I like that you get two options of 2.4ghz or 5ghz connection. One thing to keep in mind is that some older devices can only use 2.4g so it is that old device itself that limits the connection speed (not your wi-fi necessarily). Newer devices are 5g capable and can maximize the speed capability. 4) Security... I also like the "Access Control" feature so that you have to permit a device to connect to your wi-fi. For example, when I got a new iPad this Christmas, I logged into my wi-fi network and put in the proper password, but it wouldn't connect to the internet. Then I went to the Netgear interface on my PC and it displayed that the iPad had been blocked (because Access Control is turned on). So then I simply hit a check box to "allow" the iPad onto my home network, and then it connected. Finally, I am not a tech person, I just try to read up on things to the best of my ability. I had the previous Netgear model which was the only router I could find that could travel the length of my house, go through plaster walls, and provide service for several computers and devices. It did it reasonably well for two years, then basically quit. This new one is much more powerful, provides more consistent service...and of course...works. I highly recommend it for your toughest assignments and so happy to have everything working again. The malfunctions with the old one were sporadic and looked like computer errors, but when I started noting the similarities and timing, it pointed to the router. Wish it had lasted longer, and hope this new one is more long-lived.

This unit was easy to set up and get on line. I needed more strength with all the devices in my home. All the devices seem to be working more reliably now.

Very happy with this purchase. Both bands have really good range. My office is not centrally located in the house, but I still get a full signal all the way on my patio, even with the 5 GHz. Speed is good, too. I knocked off one star because the setup instructions were slightly confusing at one point (to me, not a techie), but I will say that customer support is excellent—they were easy to get on the phone, patient, and very knowledgeable. The app is good, too, very easy to use. I recommend this router.

Easy setup, good range, quality router with exceptional speed!

Excellent buy at a great price. This router is a huge improvement from my old router. my coverage of my home provides me strong streaming signals for my wi-fi connections.

Recently got my own place and needed an internet connection with wifi. Did not know what I got myself into when I ordered internet but it came with no wifi. Went to best buy and asked for help on what I needed. This item was recommended base on the space. Now it provides the wifi I need for everything except gaming. I don't play video games so I dont know if it performs good or bad in that area. But now no more using hot spots to have a good zoom connection for my kids classes. Easy to set up with the instructions provided.

Easy to install and out speeds went from 38 mbps to 215mbps! Also eliminated the need for a WiFi extender! Awesome purchase!

Really like this router. Performed well and had decent coverage and features. The Nighthawk app was also simple to use.

Easy set-up. Our 2-story house has 3300 square feet and this router is placed in the corner of one of the upper floor bedrooms. The AC2300 is signal strong throughout the house even in the basement. I bought this router to replace my AC1900 model which I thought was failing. Turns out it was the cable modem causing the issue. I have had excellent results with these Netgear routers.

I've only had this a month, so I'm unable to give a complete long term assessment, but so far so good. Where I had some dead spots in the house , now I'm able to get a signal. Also, Netflix loads a lot quicker. I've had no issues with this WIFI router.

I am crossing over from an outdated Linkys router. Although it cost me 3 times more , it is faster , more reliable , and the app makes it easy to use

I like it, it is faster stronger, and less interruptions than my other equipment. I like the additional range, and strong signal that I now get.

This router worked very well when i first bought it. But now when i use my tablet or phone for wifi i lose connection or I'm connected but my wifi isnt working. I reset it a lot which helps sometimes. It does load web pages and videos quick.

This was easy to set up. The wifi is faster with this router than the spectrum router and has a better range in the household.

This wifi router was purchased for one of the retail stores that I manage. We need to stream video and audio on many different devices at the same time. It was necessary to upgrade the router that are internet provider supplied. The Nighthawk was noticeably faster.
