I have a large area (>7000 sq feet) to cover and my router is in the basement. I never had great coverage until now! I use both wired and wireless back haul and have never had such good speeds. It was easy to set up, though I did do it manually.

Setup was very easy, if you like app based applications. Devices are ok, was getting 600mb in from ISP but only getting 250mb via wi-Fi. Called NETGEAR support and was read a script stating basically I had too many devices (24) on my home network. Tried changing wi-fi channels with a tiny bit of improvement. The directed me to a website where I can sign onto the router and tweet settings which helped. But the system still isn’t for me. Satellite stations would drop connectivity randomly and NETGEAR support was no help. It will work fine if you don’t have a total smart home or are just gaming or have less then 15-20 devices on your network. Just didn’t work for my application. Ended up getting a Triband system that can support 70+ devices.

Easy setup.
Had a Netgear 7800 router that was complaining during very hot temps and after.
Didn't need to redo the static IP assignments for a majority of the devices: TV, x4 PCs, x2 printers, x5 Smart Phones, PS4, Switch, iPad, Android Tablet, Work PC, Raspberry Pi, and 4 NAS.
A wireless printer and the Ring doorbell needed to be rejoined to the network.
1600sf ranch house with good coverage with the satellites on each end of the 'L' and the router at the bottom corner.
The 2 RJ45 ports on the satellites allowed me to move a switch and the NAS off the router ports to another room next to the WFH room and the Pi PC.
Comcast 150Mbps WAN. Wireless PCs show no latency degradation even with heavy gaming use from 2 of 4 PCs and the PS4.
The nighthawk app is useful although it is subscription-based.

I replaced my Google WiFi with the NETGEAR Nighthawk Routers and it has been the BEST decision ever. The set up was VERY FAST and EASY. I finally feel like I’m getting fast speeds and reliable connection throughout my entire house. My son and I can both game simultaneously with no lag whatsoever while my wife and daughter do their thing on their devices in a 2500 sqft house. I highly recommend these to anyone needing a fast and easy setup with a reliable connection for gaming and streaming.

I have no clue what the issue is with other purchasers but this setup was so easy. A plug and play setup where everything went smoothly. My internet speeds where I used to get 2 mbps to 50 mbps my speed went to 450+ mbps. Product is great, shipping was so smooth and arrived earlier then expected.

I was skeptical at first, but after having this installed for several months, I am pretty happy with the results. We work from home, so it's critical to have the internet up and running. Gaming is outstanding as well. We haven't experienced any lag as of yet.
The only issue I have ran into, is the lack of coverage in the garage, but we can add another box which is simple to do.

Best Router of the dozen or so I’ve owned over the past 30 years. Remarkably easy to set up and add an additional Satellite (purchased directly from NetGear) to. Great WiFi coverage over 3500 SqFt house. Connected to fiber optic modem with Speed Test showing 500mbs upload and download over WiFi and Cat5e direct connect. 3 Web Cams, two CO2 smoke detectors, two Nest thermostats, 3 Samsung smart TV’s, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 1 Epson printer and 1 HP Omen PC all connected at once.

A solution to your internet service - NETGEAR MESH

The Netgear WIFI Mesh system is well worth the money, I have no regrets. We live in a ninety year old large home with plaster walls and leaded glass windows. We have tried a number of routers and extenders to eliminate the patchy internet service we had. Working from home this past year made the situation unbearable. An article introduced me to mesh systems and Netgear Tri-band has met all of our needs. We now have service from the basement to the top floor. IT is well worth the money, easy to install and highly recommended. We bought it at Best Buy in person and the conversation led me to purchase exactly what we needed.

Best purchase Ive made in a while. Went from 20-50/mbps wireless with one Router(Netgear AC1750 Model:(R6400)........ to 450 wired from a satellite. 350 from the same satellite wireless.
Wifi 6 on the phone is noticeable slightly. It's the only device I've had capable so far.
Only negative thing I have to say is:
I've had it for almost a month and I've reset it twice only because a couple devices in the house didn't connect. 1. The printers(biggest hassle) 2. A nvvidea shield box. After reset they were fine.... so far. Oh and 3 when the power went out during a storm. But my games are 90%better.. no disconnects on Apex.

Great! When it works. Every now and then (not often) the satellites might disconnect and it’s a little timely to reconnect. The app it pretty good but it’s better to actually login to the router with router login.net to set features. Amazing speeds and great coverage across my whole property. Or just inside house.

I picked this up after signing up for new gig fiber at my home. My existing router and access points were not mesh, and did not distribute the improved speeds efficiently throughout our 4 bedroom home. I was familiar with the Nighthawk line, and very much looking forward to getting ahold of their mesh setup. I have not been disappointed at all. Setup was very easy using the Nighthawk app, and within 20 minutes I was blazing at up to 900mb up and down in virtually every corner of my house. This was a little bit on the pricey side; however, I have found in home networking that you get what you pay for.

Purchased the Nighthawk 3600 mesh system from Bestbuy. It was on a great black Friday sale and could not beat it for the price and quality. Got it home, where I am paying for gigabit speeds (though the router was crap and never giving me near that speed) and set it up. Slight issues with set up as it needed a firmware update. Unfortunately the very useful Nighthawk app did not cover that. I had to call tech support and they walked me through it. About 30 minutes later and it was up and running and screaming fast! Now I am going to get the Nighthawk modem as well.

Worked pretty good for the first year but now I never see the advertised speeds. The app shows that the router is getting 980 mb/s download and 780 mb/s upload but on wired connection my pc is only getting 600 download and 400 upload and the satellites are getting half that. Most recently I’ve had to reboot the router every day because the speeds will drop out

I have FIOS into the middle of a four bedroom ranch. At the FIOS router I get great gb/s ethernet and 5ghz wifi, but the rest of the house only gets 2.4ghz reliably, and I can't run wired ethernet to the office. I had a WDS wireless bridge (2.4ghz) to connect wired ethernet devices in the office, but that was really slow.
Now, with the Netgear mesh, I have gb/s ethernet in three rooms, and amazingly strong 5ghz wifi throughout the house. My internet is nominally 100mb/s, and I now see that delivered to all wired and wireless devices. I benchmarked end to end wired ethernet (from one satellite box at one end of the house to the satellite at the other end), and could sustain around 300mb/s out of the theoretical 1 gb/s. This blows away my old WDS wireless bridge, and makes the NAS useful throughout the house, although if you really need gb/s speed, this doesn't quite provide it.
Installation was a breeze with the QR code and the Nighthawk app. One warning - the mesh is routed (10.0.0.x), so I had to readdress my printer and NAS, but even that was pretty simple with the Netgear web UI. (The pain was reconfiguring all the clients.)
Overall, this is a big improvement in every way, even though none of my devices yet have wifi 6. Just having the wifi 6 backbone is amazing. Highly recommended.

I installed the router and two satellites in my home and have been extremely impressed. At the furthest point from The satellite, I am getting about 400/mbps to my device which is 90% of the speed I have coming directly to the router. This was way better than the previous extender I had and this was much easier to set up!

Initial set up was a bit of a pain if I'm being honest. I was a little bit skeptical about buying this at first due to people mentioning dropped connection, but I've had this for over a month and no drops. I have this installed on property that is 2500+ sq ft and I have full bars throughout. Gets rid of deadzones no problem.

Easy Setup and works great with no dead spots in a 2 story 3000 square foot home with range extended onto back deck. Dropped one star because how netgear forces you to install their security protection Amor software. After the 30-day trial you can't uninstall it only deactivate it. It's not really a bad product but would prefer not to be forced into it and have the option to easily uninstall.

Replaced an older system that didn't fully cover our home and property. This system does it easily. Set up, out of the box, was straightforward. Can't beat having one SSID for the entire property. (We had one ancient 2.4 GHz device that didn't like the new system, but some disparity that many generations apart is expected).
