The Nighthawk Triband Mesh system was very easy to install and use. Instructions are short as it doesn't take too much to get the system up and running. Very intuitive initiation. The coverage outperformed the indicated specs, awesome!

Overall, just an OK product. Nothing horrible, nothing special. There are a lot of little things that could make this a really good product. I wanted something to cover my 3,600 sq ft home plus outdoors. I had a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 plus EX7000 extender. For the most part, that worked, but I've started to have trouble with the router crashing on an almost daily basis. I bought this one as something that was supposed to be future proof and would provide good coverage. 802.11ax / WiFi 6 is just barely starting to come to fruition, so there aren't many devices that actually support 802.11ax / WiFi 6 yet. I also wanted something that was Tri-band so I could have a dedicated backhaul channel. I jumped the gun a bit on setup, so it took me a little longer than expected. I've been doing networking for 20+ years, so I'm probably a little too smart for these easy setups. If you go through their wizard the way they want you to, it probably works just fine. Once I got everything setup, it works great so far (it's been less than 24 hours). There are no parental controls. The WPA3 mode is not backwards compatible with WPA2. This means that if you want WPA3 and WPA2, you have to separate your 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz channels into separate SSIDs. That defeats the purpose of allowing the router / satellites to manage the devices and the channels. WPA2 is still "good enough," but while there are a lot more devices that support WPA3, it doesn't always work correctly, making you choose between networks. There is very little customization available in the admin UI. The admin username cannot be changed. The username is always admin. There is also no way to connect to the admin interface over HTTPS from the inside. In the age of IoT devices going rogue and needing good protection from them, missing HTTPS is a huge oversight and vey short sighted approach.

Very easy to setup and coverage is good. May need to add another satellite unit for additional coverage but moving units around to find the right balance.

Thought I could get away with using Google WiFi and was sadly wrong. It was easy to change the name of the WiFi to be the same as the last one and everything connected quickly and smoothly. I no longer have a notification to connect to WiFi when I turn on my smart TV's. If you have a smart home, you don't want anything less.

Much better than the assorted mesh routers I had all over the house before. No more dropped signals or dead zones. Wi-Fi even works at the end of the driveway

We purchased this Nighthawk mesh system due to lack of consistent coverage on Our property. We have a detached garage along with security cameras that needs wi-fi. With this hardwired mesh system We now have 100% coverage on Our property. Thanks Netgear for delivering a solution to home owners that We can afford!

Installed very easily with the phone app, all previous devices connected easily and have not had any complaints from the family about why is the Wi-Fi so slow. Covers the entire house, garage and patio, where there was no coverage before. Like the tri-band for the additional backhaul for the mesh network.

We had another Mesh System that was fried by a lightning strike and replaced it with the Netgear Nighthawk - we are delighted! Easy to install and even better coverage than before.

I've had several wifi routers over the years but these are the best in terms of speed and coverage area. No more involved to set up than a router with repeaters.

I finally found what I have been looking for!! It has taking me years to get here but I finally did! I was skeptical when I was purchasing this 3 piece router system. I figured that it would be better than one piece however. This system is very simple to set up and and I have complete, even and reliable coverage throughout my whole home. I even have a great signal at my neighbor's backyard 25 yd away. No more screwing around with range extenders or trying to connect one router to another. This is what we have been waiting for! It was very easy to set up my mesh Wi-Fi system, and it works great! It provides much better coverage and speed throughout my home than my previous single router.

It was time for a new router system and after all my research, I set my eyes on this tri mesh system. It gave me better coverage and better speeds without changing my internet plan.

I was hesitant at first to get these, but I went ahead and bought it at the recommendation of one of the employees. Best decision I have made. Huge upgrade from my old router. All of our devices are running smoothly both on WiFi and through the Ethernet ports. The main access point and satellites all have Ethernet ports so you can hard wire into them. Getting great speeds and have no dead spots in our home. The app is also very easy to use and can rename and organize every device connected to the network.

No real instructions included so you will need some technical awareness, but after contacting and accessing NetGear's website, set up was relatively easy. Beware if you have any malware in your network, additional steps may be necessary. Otherwise, it works smoothly and as advertised. Other than changing WiFi addresses in my devices, I no longer have any speed or distance issues. It runs so well, after awhile, you forget it is around.

Had a few issues with everything working after power outages. Got a battery backup to correct. Also had to factory reset the whole system when nothing would connect. When it works, it’s great. When it doesn’t, it’s pretty frustrating.

Used a AC1700 router for the last few years. With our AT&T 1000mb fibre plan we never got more than 70mb. Every since we got this mesh system we have not seen less than 800mb! It's like night and day! Easy setup also.

Love this system. Range is excellent, setup was a breeze, the app is wonderful. If you don't need 6E then definitely consider this system.

The NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 works great with my Frontier Internet - no additional modem necessary. Set-up was a breeze, we have noticed the improved speed and coverage throughout our home, well worth the investment!
