This is the RAX48 (AX5200). Excellent device. No issues yet. Now my cellphone gets AX signal. Shows a 6 on the wifi logo. I like how simply it was to configure. Just scan the QR code.
I ran a speedtest on my Cell (Wifi6) and PC (ethernet). I got about the same bandwidth on both devices. AX does run good compared to ethernet.
Netgear Armor is only included for a month! Sub is $70.

This router is replacing my Netgear N750 and the first impression is - huge improvement in speed and coverage. Took a combo of app and on line to set it up, but was fairly straight forward (had help of computer savy son). Well worth it.

Purchased this router while it was on sale and it was such a good deal. Great router for my 2 bedroom apartment. We have a lot of devices that connect to WiFi so this router was perfect for it. Easy setup. The app is really easy to use.p

Extremely fast speeds, long range, and was easy to set up. Comes with network security that eventually requires a subscription but is less costly than most. A little bulky, but worth the speeds and range it puts out.

The NETGEAR Nighthawk AX5200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router was quite easy to install with no problems whatsoever. I no longer need to use the range extender that I needed with my previous router. I can now get a great wifi signal even in the basement of my house.

Works great. Verizon router (last gen) was relocated during our upgrade to 200/200 service and even though it was more centrally located, it didn't reach the whole house. Disabled wireless on the Verizon router and connected this router to it in AP mode. The new AX5200 is able to send the signal throughout the house. Our 200/200 service actually gives us just over 300/300 speeds. Getting the full speed when there is little obstruction between your device and the router. At the furthest points in the house from the router, we still get about 75/75. Very happy with this. No need for extender or mesh hardware.

Nighthawk router does an excellent job of reaching every room with enough bandwidth to handle streaming without any lagging. This router gets average speed up 470-527 mbps. Setup couldn’t have been any easier.

This is the fastest wifi router i have ever owned. I use it as an AP since I have a mikrotik router at home as my GW. It gives you true ISP up/down speeds! The WiFi signal does not degrade heavily like other routers.

3-5x improvement with router in old basement

Increased our speed and range by 3x in our old 1930s-built house that the internet modem and router is in the concrete basement! Before this router, the Netgear N600 gave us 90% strength 7-10mbps speed on our living room Smart TV and XBOX which is still amazing having to send signal from an old concrete basement. That meant only 1080p streaming and we would see dips to 720p. I also couldn't use wi-fi when I am in my outside garage or yard which is just 20-30ft from router. Once I got this Nighthawk going, being outside still gets me 80% signal strength and our living room TV and XBOX now gets 30-50mpbs (3-5x improvement!) which finally let us get consistent 4k UHD streaming. Sadly, our old house won't allow 5ghz frequency to work at 100% signal (may have seen 6x improvement) so we are sticking with 2.4ghz.

I think this is a good router for the $150 sale price. I did not have any issues setting it up, doing the firmware update, or having to reset it ever. I used smart connect to only have one wifi login option. I read all the reviews before buying and I question some of the validity. However we did have one older device (5.5 yr old laptop) that would not connect so I did have to turn off the OFDMA settings. That being said it is a vast improvement over my old router. I now have coverage throughout my 2800 Sq Ft house, garage and large yard. I did not use the App nor sign up for Armor so I can not comment to those items. It just works. This is made in Vietnam not China.

I probably wouldn't have written a review on this product given I don't feel strongly about it either positively or negatively, but seeing so many negative reviews on here has led me to question why mine is working flawlessly. So I felt the need to put in my two cents.
Bear in mind, I upgraded from cable-company-supplied equipment to a Netgear modem and this router. My cable company doesn't supply exactly cutting edge equipment. So this was a big step up in a number of ways.
Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't have any problem at all when it updated the firmware and I LOVE the Nighthawk app. It made the entire installation process fast and flawless. I had this whole thing set up in about 15 minutes including firmware update and a couple of rebooting. And it just worked.
As for speed, I can't judge because it is faster than what I came from. Is it $300 fast? No probably not. I'm getting 325 Mbps down at the point of the modem and across the room (about 20 feet) via the 2.4 frequency, I'm down to about 185. That said, I am able to walk down to get my trashcan at the end of the driveway and still have a signal on my phone. I had dead spots in my house on my old rented router. This has fixed that.
My cons:
1. I don't like "light weight" equipment. It always feels cheap and thick cables can make it unstable on a table. This is light. Likely not more than a pound.
2. I think you can probably get more router for $300. At that price point, you are well into a good mesh network setup or a gaming router. Likely money better spent. At the sale price ($150) that I paid for this today, I think it's worth it.
My pros:
1. Super easy setup. Some folks have had trouble, but compared to other routers that have forced me to use a web browser to access their settings and manually set everything, using the app was glorious. For me, it just worked.
2. It is a sizable improvement from the cable company supplied equipment.
3. It will allow me the freedom to step up to 600 or 1000 speed down the road.
Networking equipment is a category of product that I'd say is almost always flawed. The only router I've ever owned that I actually liked was my Apple AirPort Extreme. And Apple got out of the router business. Everything else has been a compromise that typically only works for a year or so and needs replacing. (I still have an Airport that is 10+ years old and still works.) All that said, I don't think this thing is bad. I just think it I were recommending it, if you are in the $300 price range, you may want to comparison shop. On sale, I'm happy with my purchase.

Easiest WiFi Router I have ever installed...

This router requires an App to do the installation and man, oh man, was it the easiest router I have ever installed. Within the app you can update this router's settings to keep your initial WiFi naming and password so that you don't have to go mess with any of your existing devices. Took less than 20 minutes from unboxing to completion. I paired this with a new cable router as well and so far my buffering issues have been completely solved. I think that the technology on this stuff changes so fast that it is a must to update things every few years. I am completely happy with this and I even got it on sale during Black Friday... bonus.

Excellent router for the price. I have used this router with multiple ISPs and have had zero issues setting it up with each. The coverage area is excellent. I get wifi broadcast all the way from my basement to my attic without any noticeable drop.

Ok, so here's the scoop.... The router works great once you get it up and running. The tricky part is getting it up and running in the first place.... So I went through 2 of these in the last 24 hours. The final step after setup where it checks for update firmware and then continues to update the router firmware is bugged. If you update the firmware through setup process there is a good chance you will brick. In order to revive it from brick you will need to be familiar with the tftp process and force flash a freshly downloaded and updated firmware for the router. I went through there useless customer service and instead of helping I was told to just go get it exchanged at bestbuy.... First router bricked after setup firmware update to the point where I could'nt tftp or get it to take firmware. 2nd router bricked immediately after using their setup process (firmware update included in final process).
Once I was able to get the firmware flashed to the latest firmware using tftp everything worked fine. Performance not bad at all for $150 but the setup process is flawed...

It was easy to set up. I plugged it into my modem and it works great. It's a good option if you want to keep your devices on separate networks.
