This router/modem is definitely something else when it comes to speeds, setup difficulty, and the NightHawk Application user interface. It's super easy to set up, low profile (width wise, it's a bit bulky in the length and height profiles so placement takes some thought and planning when building a setup.) The speeds (even though it depends on your internet plan) definitely goes to show you get what you pay for. The user interface of the application is easy to understand (for you non-techy folks out there) and gives you all the control you need for internet including, but not limited to, device blocking, speed testing, analytics, and even guest wifi setup. This may all seem like its the 4th coolest thing you've ever seen, but let me tell ya. Restarting this router every now and again is a must if you want internet that actually works. (Not sure if thats just for XFinity customers or other network customers as well.) Which makes it tough when youre getting home from work, and just wanna spend the next 6.5 hours scrolling the internet, being the responsible adult you should be after clocking out. Other than that, this router might actually be the 4th coolest thing you've ever seen. I'd recommend it. To top all that off, if you're like me and you want your room as dark as humanly possible, there's a teeny tiny switch on the back of the router that turns off the front LED lights. To sum alllllll of this up, Good router, 8.72/10 would recommend. :)

So i bought this $400 netgear nighthawk cax80 that works combo modem and router and delivers high speed 600 mbps and higher. It is easy to set up, to install, great functionality, works well with my ISP, and gives wifi speed upto 6 gbps, 3000 sq feet wifi range, and more. I recommend this particular netgear model combo modem router for all homeowners and business owners.

Netgear leads the way when it comes to home internet. ln my opinion, the value you get from owning your own networking gear compared to your ISO provided and rented equipment is unmatched. Here you can set your security that you desire, configure and test which channels best work in your areas as well as set your desired preferences. Especially as a gamer and wanting your hardwired machines to get the best quality of service with the ability to set those QoS preferences. I have yet to have a problem with this combo. I haven’t even had to restart it. Set and forget.

The CAX80 Nighthawk is an outstanding product! It was very easy to install, instruction guide is well-written. Installed in the basement and have excellent coverage up to the 3rd level of the house (Total house size is 4400 sq feet including basement). Wireless stream to ROKU on 3rd level no problems...All wireless devices have outstanding connections, WiFi 6 works outstanding...Samsung S22 (wiFi 6 capability) cell phones have Ookla Speed Test results @ 460 Mbps download....Even non-WiFi 6 products such as Apple IPad's have great connectivity.....extremely impressed with this Cable Modem WiFi6 Router Combo! Highly Recommend!

So…. I went to the Best Buy store in search of a new modem/router combo. The store employee said, and I quote” this product is a beast! it got up one morning and ate all the other routers for breakfast “ and his words were true! The speed I’m getting from this router is insane! My old one was hitting at 200mhz and this one is blowing it out of the water! Signal strength is awesome too! My boys(who are heavy gamers) have no problems with lag or anything and their rooms are on the other side of the house from the router! Buy this if you dare! ;)

I bought this router because I hated the idea of being cluttered with a modem and a router. I pay for a very fast connection with my internet provider and I wanted to take full advantage of it. I wanted the fastest speeds available via wi-fi. Also, everyone at home is on zoom calls throughout the day. So, I needed something that could handle all the devices. I did some research, bought it, and never looked back. This router has the absolute best range and the speeds do not differ whether they are wired or wireless. I’m serious. I’ve ran multiple speed-tests and they are CONSISTENTLY the same. You clicked on this item for a reason. Do yourself a favor and just buy it. You won’t regret it.

I had an old Netgear model which worked well considering it was almost 10 years old. It was time for an upgrade and I definitely notice a difference with improved WiFi speeds.

I was renting the latest modem/router from Xfinity. Out of nowhere my cameras and doorbell lost connection. After multiple hours with support there was no solution to reconnect the cameras back on the 2.4. I purchased the nighthawk and everything reconnected without issues as I can select 2.4 or 5g on the nighthawk. Highly recommend this as a solution for anybody currently renting or having camera connectivity issues.

I'm not to well versed in technology for WiFi Routers/Modem's but I did my research and I figured that this was the best of both worlds just so you don't have to buy 2 separate things. Essentially it's like Xfinity's router/modem combo except you don't have to pay a monthly bill for that. I am paying 1 GIG download cable for Xfinity and I'm getting 600 down and 40 up with my WiFi 6 laptop. Some issues that I did run into was that Xfinity could not verify that this was a compatible router/modem on their website even with the installer personally talking to them. They suggested that I had to return this and get another but I didn't believe it because I read reviews to this, just like you, seeing that people had this with Xfinity and it was working. So I just followed the instructions on the paper to set up with Netgear and I was able to connect it myself without having to talk to any reps withing 15 minutes. A weird thing that I encountered while having this for a month or so now is that my 5 Ghz channel kicked me off the network only on my phone. I entered the password that I put and it said incorrect and would not let me reconnect for a day or so. Other devices were connected so I don't know why it happened but I'm guessing it was maybe a bug. Other than that though, nothing out of the blue has happened, as far as I can tell. Hope this helps!

Blazing speed over much greater area than my old Motorola. Was a breeze to set up and the testing and admin app is great! Pricey but has eliminated all the drops I had been getting.....killers for all the zoom conferences we are pulled into

I purchased this cable modem router to replace an older cable modem router I have been using for 5 years. This Netgear Nighthawk cable modem router (CAX80) is simply amazing. The instructions were simple to follow and I used the recommended Netgear App and Xfinity App to set it up. I was able to get setup in less than 15 minutes without having to call Xfinity support to set up my new router. I’m enjoying the netgear app testing my speeds, and managing my new cable modem router. The basic features of the app are helpful in letting me monitor my home internet. I’m very happy with the speeds I am getting from this router and the Wi-Fi 6 support. Thanks Netgear for making a great product!

It’s too soon to really know it it’s working great so far with good speed easy set up with Comcast and the included app for set up item is too pricey but is new to market but a modem and router should be much less price.

I bought this all in one to look cleaner and have a smaller footprint. Immediately after I hooked this up it was apparent how superior it was to my previous setup. The speeds are very fast and rock solid both up and down. The app is easy to navigate and the features on a web browser are even better. This is my first NETGEAR product and I’ll never go back.

The install was extremely easy. The speed is fantastic, but the price of the unit could be lower. I would recommend this unit to anyone. I really love the performance.

I was using the modem/router combo from my provider but there was to many blind spots and to much buffering. I upgraded to the NETGEAR Nighthawk Cable Modem WiFi 6 Router Combo (CAX80) and now I am not having issues. Would recommend this to everyone.

Great accompanying app and ease of use. Set up was a breeze and the app was super intuitive and user friendly. Speeds and coverage are good, but my place is pretty small, so YMMV. Only gripe is that you only get a trial of Netgear Armor when other companies like ASUS give you free lifetime protection. Infuriating that this modem is my only DOCSIS 3.1 option besides the ISP-provided one from Optimum.
