Easy to setup and reliable, love the router for gaming and streaming.

This is a huge upgrade in speed and range from the Linksys AC1200. Definitely worth the price. It doesn't get hot like the Linksys. I used to lose my signal immediately after walking out of the door of my 1300sq Ft Florida home with plaster/wire mesh walls and cinderblock outer walls, now I get full bars even in the street and through out the backyard with incredible speeds. Amazing product.

I am so glad that the sales rep suggested this router versus the Nband one I was going to purchase. I no longer need an extender in my home and have no issues with multiple users hooked up at the same time. Movies download faster now on 5g and set up was not that bad. It was worth the extra few bucks to get this router.

Great router. Got AC although most of our devices are n (xbone, mac, vaio, ipad minis, iphone 5s', chromecast, apple tv). The AC connection has great bandwidth. Do yourself a favor. Whether you rent a modem from your ISP or not, get a separate wifi router/access point. We were having awful connectivity on phone/tablet laptop, while things hardwired were fine; sitting in the open living room right next to the ISP two in one. We have 150MB/s Xfinity so we shouldn't be suffering with speedtests showing 2 at best. Enter the NIGHTHAWK, It was fairly friendly to setup and quick and easy. I setup two networks easily and QoS seems fine. I haven't had a need to get nitty gritty with settings. Connecting to AC despite having n devices has been great! I like the USB 3.0 where I leave an external that I can even back up to. I can access via readycloud when i am not home. Really neat

After struggling with online gaming through my weak WiFi connection, I finally decided to give in and spent the money necessary for top quality Internet and I couldn't be happier. Ever since I purchased the nighthawk I haven't had any lag, disconnection or any problems. Easy set up and well worth the money spent

We use this router in our small business and it's performance is great. I had originally purchased the Asus RT-AC68P and had stability issues with that model. Constantly losing connection on both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections which would require a reboot of the router, even with two different firmware upgrades it had to go back. The Netgear router is leagues ahead in stability. Since I've put it into service about a month ago I haven't had to touch it. We have four wired connections, a few wireless on the private network, and countless guest Wi-Fi users and this thing delivers in the speed and stability categories. It sits in the rear office of our business and covers the entire customer area, about 1500 square feet with speed enough to max out our DOCSIS connection with multiple users online. I would buy this router again without hesitation.

Easy to setup and greatly improved the range and speed of my wireless network.

Range and stability are great and helped me to have good wi-fi signal all around home, including basement. I can stream Netflix anywhere in my house now. The 2 USB ports are awesome to see pictures and movies from any device in the network. Dual band is also great and the 5Ghz is much better to transfer files between smartphone and tablet. I had a DIR-655 before and the difference is brutal.

It was very easy to set up. Has drastically improved the coverage and speed of my connections. I have noticed that I don't have the lags or drops that I had previously when using multiple items such as desktop, laptop, phones and TV.

I have alot of devices and tried numerous routers that were ac signal, most will perform very similarly but my previous routers did not reach downstairs. This netgear router has exceeded my expectations in that regard. It keeps up the way it should being a dual band gigabit as i have multiple wired devices that are used for gaming. I'll buy a netgear product again in the future.

This is the 2nd one of these routers that I have bought. The range on these are exceptional, the interface is easy to use, and the speed seems more than capable for multiple wireless devices, but I have not run any speed tests. One nice feature is that the router comes with a unique SSID and password, so a novice doesn't have to get to involved in the router to setup some basic security.

This router is phenomenal and worth every penny. Our speeds are incredible now. Our internet we pay for from ATT is for 75 megabits and when I run a test on the wifi through my phone and iPad, it shows we are rocking over 84 megabits through wifi. Through the hardline connection on our PS4, we average over 50 megabits down and over 7 megabits upload. Absolutely worth the purchase.

I bought this product even though I read several negative reviews. The setup was easy and even went through the process of disabling my Verizon wireless router to use the netgear as the primary. I have had it running for several months and not one hick up yet. I use to have a range extender, which I was happily able to get rid of as the range of this router (2G) is fantastic!

We were in need of a router and after researching and looking at many different routers decided to go with the Netgear Nighthawk. We recently moved into a bigger house and wanted something that would cover the whole house. I saw some negative reviews on this product but I have not had any issues so far with it. It was easy to set up and we have not lost signal at all in the two months we've had it. We have various items connected to it and it handles it all well. It is a bit bulky and may be a little too expensive for some, but I don't have anything negative to say about this router.

I was looking to replace an old Linksys router that kept dropping wireless connectivity to my devices and who's signal wouldn't reach my basement very well. I found myself rebooting it every 2-3 days in order to get my Android phone to connect. After talking to the Best Buy salesperson, I decided on the Netgear Nighthawk. I took it home dreading the amount of work I would need to do to set up my new router and re-attach all my devices. However, I needn't have worried. The hardest part was crawling under my desk and disconnecting my old LinkSys. I followed the easy to use directions and got my wired connection to my desktop computer set up almost immediately. After downloading and installing the recommended patches and software, I went about setting up my other wireless devices. I had never used the push button connectivity before, but it worked like a charm. Within 20 minutes, I had connected both of my Kindle's, my smartphone, BluRay player, SmartTV, and my PS3. Boom, Done! Since connecting it up more than a month ago, I have not experienced a single time where my phone would not connect. Further, I can now stream Netflix movies to my basement devices without the constant buffering that I was experiencing on my old router. The range seems to reach my entire house now! A great decision that has made me very happy now that I can watch "House of Cards" via streaming!

I needed a new router and my Tech Guy reviewed all the products available at Best Buy (close to my house) and recommended this router. Based on his extensive knowledge he felt this was the way for me to go. From my understanding it can transmit in two waves lengths (over my head) and gives me great coverage in my multi- level home. Have been very pleased with speed and coverage.

We were having problems with game system freeze up and getting bumped off the internet. Since I plugged in this new router our service is seamless, no lag, no bumping. We have several computers, tablets, printer, phones and game systems on it and still have a seamless experience. I would recommend this to anyone. It was super easy to set up and I am only moderately computer savvy.

I read online reviews, and chose this to go with my Cox Internet, which I learned should have been much faster than it was. Rather than rent or buy from Cox, I checked reviews and then purchased this router at Best buy. Good price and it is very easy to work and set up. Very powerful. Covers my entire house and all four bedrooms, back yard. Security easy to set up, too.

This product is very reliable and fast. Easy to setup and use right away.
