I have been a linksys/cisco person for years but gave this a try. It did not disappoint. Setup was the easiest I have ever had bar none, and I have set up my fair share of home networks. The range is great! I also paired with NETGEAR AC750 WIFI range extender without any trouble at all. The 12 plus devices I have connected enjoy great signals and fast transmission throughout the house. The management software is also excellent for home users as it easily allows you to lock down your network and prevent any new devices from connecting without additional permission (beyond just the network password). It also allows for a guest network on both bands with multiple security options e.g. allowing guests to see each others computers etc. I also added the NETGEAR A6100 WIFI USB mini adapter to my laptop for the complete AC experience. If you are looking to upgrade your system this router will do the trick. BTW I have been using for about 3 weeks without any issues whatsoever. I can't say that about my previous setup.

This NetGear Nighthawk WAP provides excellent performance and signal strength throughout even a very large house. I have this stowed away in a hall closet for esthetic reasons and the WiFi throughput is still great. It's especially easy to set up and use with a NetGear DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem. Highly recommend the pair.

By far the best router I have used. This thing is a power house. I can get WIFI across the street in the backyard of my neighbors house. The setup is simple, the Genie app is easy to use and since I have it plugged into a timer that restarts it's every night, I've had very little issues with connectivity. I know there are newer models out there but if you have a medium house and just need a router that you want to install and forget it, this is the one. Several PC publications have given high reviews on this model. Now I see why.

I love this router. I live in a 4500 sq ft house and I get great signals from any room in the house. Has increased the speed on all my devices, including my phone, laptop, wireless printer, and PS3. Also, after a month of use I have not once had to reset/power cycle the router.

I replaced an older router with this newer, faster one. I’ve added some wireless security cameras, and needed a strong WiFi system to ensure their best performance. And I have more devices than before. This model is both faster and serves a wider area than my older one. And it does it very well, just as advertised. I’m using it with a repeater for solid seamless coverage. I now can get my full speed internet throught the entire house, rather than slower speeds farthest from the router. Very pleased with this product. Be sure to manually install the latest firmware when you first get this, it did not do so automatically. Made a big difference.

This router is very fast and easy to set up. I have 6 wireless devices in my home network and all the devices installed right away. I am a heavy multimedia user and the router handled multiple tasks without any signal drop. If you enjoy multitasking downloads and games and you have a fast internet connection this the router for you!

Impressed with this router. I have noticed much better speeds and can connect from anywhere in the house. My previous router left dead spots in the house. Very easy setup process for a non-tech person.

This router has not slowed down, despite all the devices we’ve connected to it. It holds up to all of the stresses we put on it and it covers our entire house. This is a good starter router if you want reliability without having to deal out the cash for some of the higher end models.

My router died on me so I had to replace it and I wish it would have died sooner. My internet is a lot faster with the purchase of this router and a modem i bought at Best Buy too. Easy to set up and the app is awesome! I am able to reset it and check to see who's connected and everything! Great range too!

We live ina split foyer home, and was using an older Netgear N router. Good router, but due to where cable comes into house, the router is upstairs, basically in a corner. we spend most time downstairs in the other corner and coverage was sketchy. Coverage outside was spotty at best. I debated extenders and other lower priced AC routers, but decided that if I was going to do this, I was going with the "get what you pay for" mentality... that and the slew of good reviews. Now... coverage in the house (on my Galaxy S3) is excellent. Coverage on my daughter's S6 is amazing and the AC speeds are just nuts. Coverage in the yard? I can mow it all while streaming off WiFi now. I can get 2.4 signal on the far side of neighbor's house. I got Best Buy to price match it at $169... well worth it.

Was having issues with old router covering the house. Spoke to cable technician and he recommended this device and also spoke to techs at best buy and they recommended it. Got it home and after set up it has been working fine. Covers the house now and it seems to have solved the issues.

This is the second one I have. I thought the first one was very good, worked well, provided excellent coverage for my Wi-Fi. All of sudden it started overheating after 5 years, about. I researched the routers and this one still came up as one of the best for the price range. Good price at Best Buy. Still works excellent providing Wi-Fi from comcast to a 2400 sq ft two story home. No issues, easy to set up, good instructions. I like the Netgear Genie to run everything. I would recommend. We use email, surfing, 3 TiVo's, 2 Roku's, stream shows, share files over a personal cloud.

I hate technology because it never works and was frustrated that I had to make this kind of purchase in the first place. However, it was easy to setup and has worked flawlessly since the first day. Highly recommended for houses with multiple floors and many devices.

In my opinion, this is the best WiFi router available at this time. Easy to configure, signal is steady and strong. I can get it throughout my land size 6500 sq ft. The only downside on this router is huge size compared to others but still in acceptable size.

The router works well with good wifi range and great speed and was easy to set up and is equally easy to monitor and change settings with the included programming Also, the ability to access an attached external hard drive via the cloud is a nice feature.

There's no two ways about it; this is the one. If you're looking at this you've seen the reviews elsewhere or you've received the suggestion from someone or somewhere else. Just buy it. Pull it out of the box, plug it in, connect and *viola*, it works. Plug in a hard drive to the USB3.0 port and *tada!* instant NAS. This is especially great if you have unutilized drives just hanging around. Can't speak to the printer sharing, don't have a printer (who needs a printer anymore?) I have connected: 2 smartphones, 3 laptops, 2 desktops, 1 smart TV, Cable box, receiver, roku, chromecast, and a PS4. No hiccups, no loss of speed. Great range covers pretty much my entire property (I can mow the lawn playing Pandora on my phone and it never drops). I'm thinking about getting a second one to use in client mode for the desktops to get them up to AC speeds.

When I first got in the market for a router I had a lot of options but I needed somenthing that could handle my online gaming while my kids would occasionally watch Netflix on their devices and my wife listened to Pandora or other music apps online and also add to that friends and family that come over all the time and use their smart phones to surf the web. Well after some research I found this beauty, it was always in the top 5 routers of gaming And now I know why because it delivers. Handles all my needs with no issues I can even dived it into another signal just for friends. Speed is steady at all times and in all areas you really get the bang for your buck

Router replaced an old "N" router that didn't quite reach the entire house. This one reaches the far corners without the use of an extender/repeater. I am now able to stream video from my NAS without a hitch. In the past, it was iffy, probably dependent on the amount of traffic with other users in the home (i.e. teens constantly watching videos on their phones). I've streamed a few full-length movies without a single glitch since installing this. Similarly used Apple TV over the wireless network and had no issues. Was also able to forgo the use of my Sonos bridge (recent update made it possible to run Sonos strictly over home wifi). Again, runs like a charm. Money well spent!

this router is quite powerful, reliable and excellent. I covers all of our home 3200sq ft. the instructions on how to set it up are very good and easy to follow. We have the router set on top of our desk (6.1ft) and it covers the whole house.

The Netgear Nighthawk was very easy to set up, it practically set itself up with the gene app. I have had excellent range and speed across multiple devices. I am able to use my tablet and smartphone outside on the deck with a strong signal! I love it!
