It was fairly easy to set up and get running, it does cover my whole house (3500 sq ft) and it has many options that I don't have a clue what they are or how to make those options work. Either way, it does work good and was a great purchase, even though it was quite pricey.

plug and boom its like jet power so fast. read instruction first then you can proceed to the step by step prompt, make it easier to install. the mother of all router at this moment until something new comes up to dethrone the x10 the top of the line router..

I set up the X10 and immediately saw the difference in speed and range. While the range was only slightly better then the AT&T wireless the speed was much improved. We have a lot of users and this router handles the house much better than the AT&T router.

very good product if you need fast and far internet service, i recommend this product to any one looking for many users at the same time, fast service and far away from the router. i'm happy with this product. i have a 60 mb internet service in my area and that's what i have.

This helps extend your signal amazingly. This gives great wifi for streaming and gaming as well. Our wifi signal was pretty weak until we purchased this. Although it was expensive, it is definitely worth it!!

In the last 2 months I have tried the linksys ea8500, z34 and now this router. I wanted a gaming router and was disapointed with the z34. 2.4 ghz did not work well. Linksys would not replace it, since it was new and made me take it back to store for a refund. Pride will not let me buy another linksys. The x10 It is simple to use. I had to turn off the 60hz cuz it seemed to interfer with my 2.4 but it is a non isssue since nothing will run on it. I consistantly get 100+ mbs down and 11 up with my router in my livingroom and computer (using 5ghz) in the bedroom 100ft away. I have been having intermitant internet service with cox but think it is on there end since all 3 routers had same issue. Fan has never turned on...read about this cuz it has not reached a high temp yet. Powerful and future proofed. Bought it on sale for $413 at BestBuy

Quadrupled my speed at home. There are four essential points I'd like to make: 1) All these years I paid for a 50mbps speed from my cable company. I had an older Netgear from 2009 which has served me well all these years (and still works), but I decided it was time to upgrade. Typically I was getting only 12-17mbps through my wi-fi (for example, to my iPhone6). After getting this Nighthawk Router, I now understand 57mbps on the same iPhone. All of my devices are much faster now... PS4, iPhones, iPads, Epson Printer, Baby Monitor, Tablets, Roku 3 box, Roku Streaming Stick, etc... 2) Cables .... Please note, one other thing I did in addition to getting this router is that I also bought all new cat6 wires (from Amazon Basics), and that has helped the router to connect well to the cable modem. From the router itself, I have a few wired items (Roku 3 box, PS4, my PC). And note that I tested the Roku 3 box, PS4, and PC wirelessly as well. In all conditions, wired with Cat6 cables and wi-fi, this Nighthawk router has delivered the speeds I was missing for years. 3) Interface.... Also, I like the interface for setting up and using the router. I love that you get two options of 2.4ghz or 5ghz connection. One thing to keep in mind is that some older devices can only use 2.4g, so it is that old device itself that limits the connection speed (not your wi-fi necessarily). Newer devices are 5g capable and can maximize the speed capability. 4) Security... I also like the "Access Control" feature so that you have to permit a device to connect to your wi-fi. For example, when I got a new iPad this Christmas, I logged into my wi-fi network and put in the proper password, but it wouldn't connect to the internet. Then I went to the Netgear interface on my PC, and it displayed that the iPad had been blocked (because Access Control is turned on). So then I simply hit a checkbox to "allow" the iPad onto my home network, and then it connected. Finally, I am not a tech person; I just try to read up on things to the best of my ability. I have purchased this router to replace my older NightHawk X4, as had failed and stopped working. It is paired with a Netgear CM1000 modem. Together these two are a great pair for any home or office. It is fast, accurate and easy to set up. This purchase was for my home. I have purchased it for the speed and the internal PLEX functionality, as I have a PLEX Media Server where I keep movies, tv-shows, music, and pictures. This router makes it even more easy to set up the PLEX and run it. It allows me to access all my media worldwide, with ease. I am extremely happy with this system and I will keep using Netgear systems.

The speeds are 10x faster than my original router. It supports multiple bands and has a great range. I would definitely buy it again. I can run 10 streams and do multiple things from multiple devices and still not drop packets.

Have been a long time Netgear customer. As usual, another quality product. Easy setup...super fast!! Good buy! My old router had a hard time keeping up with 3 PS4's playing online, lots of lag. This monster has no problems handling it at all.

I was worried that my multi-level condo was going to have deadspots, but this router gets the job done. I have gigabit internet and I'm hitting speeds that I am expecting to see over wifi and directly wired.

This is a great router. Fast. Easy to set up. The mobile app is great to managed the router. It was easy to rename and change the password for the router. Little pricey versus the Linksys equivalent and other models.

I originally bought the Nighthawk X8 and had it about a week and it started dropping connections and losing signal. Called Netgear two separate times to correct the issue, which only ended up being a temporary fix that lasted only hours both times. I then read up on the X10 and decided to spend the extra $100 and upgrade when I returned the X8. This router has been amazing. I get full signal across the other side of the house with those download speeds being still over 100 Gbps and upload speed of over 20 Gbps. This router instantly connects to all of my devices any time I get within range and never drops signal. This router is definitely worth the money.

Real easy to set up. Has a lot of Parental controls. Great for gaming and streaming 4K. Have 18 devices hooked to router and no issues with being kicked off internet. Very Extremely Pleased with this Purchase. I recommend.

This router is by far and away one of the best I have owned. Pricewise it's not for the faint of heart but if you're looking for the most powerful, best performing router on the market with all the bells and whistles this is it.

This works great for our 5 bedroom home, even pushes out to my workshop, about 250 feet from the house. Everyone is using Hulu, YouTube or Netflix, and no lag in the wifi. a must have for heavy streaming house holds.

If you are looking for the best router out there, with the most advanced features, look no further! This router has plenty of speed and range is the best I have ever seen without a mesh network!

I can't say much on this unit. If you have the money, it's excellent. Wifi performance is maximized over a greater range. I use it in a 2000sqft house with excellent coverage from end to end.

Get ready for the future with this puppy. Excellent coverage throughout the house, bandwidth out the wahzoo. Pricey right now (December, 2016), but hopefully won't have to upgrade until the next generation of routers comes out.

Great router bundled with my cm1000 modem I now get very fast speeds. The wifi network in my home is fast and stable ... Also made use of Plex server that's in the router it works well with all my devices connected to it
