Setup was very easy for me a novice. Performance has been great in a 3000 sq. ft. home. The past three weeks has had 4 IP cameras, 3 computers and 6 cell phones operating ... a lot, with no issues. Definitely recommend to a good friend.

awesome Product improved network speed and performance

I've been running a few older WAPs for some time now and tried to enhance my network with bridges and repeaters. Unfortunately these devices didn't really solve my problem. After waiting some time for the right device to show up on the market... I finally found it! The R8000 is everything it promises. If you're ready to move to the next level you need to buy this device. It will meet all of your needs and then some.

This router work very well for me and my 5 static IPs. The setup was straight forward with NAT Tables and I haven't had any issues with WIFI dropout or dead zones in my 3000FT² two story house. I don't get much signal outside but I think that is do to the block contruction and metal tinted windows than a device failure. Over all with my experience it was a great turnon versus the Linksys one I replaced.

This product is powerful and has great Wifi connection. Easy setup. Fast and reliable.

Excellent range and best for gaming or video downloading. However, it is bit pricey.

I have 25 devices on my home network. The nighthawk x6 router does a great job. My previous router, net gear WNDR3700, would drop devices or slow my connection down. I get high speeds on all my devices. I have a large house and the wireless signal is strong everywhere.

Got this to replace the "router" portion of a combo modem/router I've had for a few years. Love the tri-band option and the related option to let the router itself "pick" which of the 5.0 bands to assign our various devices to. Set up was VERY simple! I've installed a few routers, etc. and this one could not have been easier! And got it for a good Black Friday price, too!

Set was a breeze. Super fast. My house is over 1700 square feet and I have coverage in the entire two story home! I am especially glad to be able to see each individual unit that is connected to the wifi.

This router may look like a spider on its back on my wall, but let me tell you AWESOME ROUTER. It has all the controls you will need and no lags, drops or other issues. This replaced my Linksys Maxstream EA9300 after dropping or sudden restarting all of the sudden. Yes, I was totally bummed me out, but this Nighthawk X6 ... ROCKS IT ALL DAY WITHOUT A WORRY!!! I do wish the recent upgrade didn't remove the media steaming from my external hard drives. Shame on Netgear for that misstep, but hey having consistent Xfinity Blast 240 mbps is more important in the long run. I just use Playon to stream my hard drives connect to my desktop now for Roku Ultra 4K, mobile phone, and tablets.

Needed a Router and a fast one for gaming and streaming. And so far its great! havent had any problems and the reach is good. Easy to use with the app and can check your speeds! added an extender with it

This is on the pricier side but it works so well and has great range. Highly recommend!

Replaced a Netgear N600 that was struggling to provide streaming to the most remote locations in the house. Performance with this router is much improved. Only issue was a more complicated setup than I expected with Setup Wizard asking questions about access points and gateways that I wasn't sure how to answer. The 191 page manual (downloaded PDF) can be too technical for the average Joe.
