I set up the Orbi on my apartment for a stronger connection of my current service. I would say it delivers an excellent extension of my current set up inside and outside my residence. On the note of setting the product up, I would say using the application for my Smart phone was helpful but could have been a bit more comprehensive and user friendly. When starting, I found it unclear at first to find the correct product to set up - don't forget to scroll as you start to find the correct product to set up. The application is simple to navigate and extremely helpful to get you going. However, read the instructions carefully, they can be slightly vague instructions. For the performance of the product - I am pleased with the width of my wireless rangewith the Orbi setup. I have been able to utilize the connection inside the residence and it remains strong outside as well. I would say that this product is worth the pricing - as it is a simple to set up and effective to extend my wireless connection. It comes with the mini router that fits into any location in the home easily, the wall plug satellite which is discreet and easy to place elsewhere in the home, and the cables necessary for simple setup. The support guide is quick to follow and the application, although slightly vague, was necessary in setting up my product successfully. Based on the functionality of the Orbi14, I would and have recommended this for home use. I received my Orbi14 from Netgear delivered for free. I would use NETGEAR products in the future and highly recommend this product for home use.

Set up was super easy and I was up and running in about 15 minutes flat. I have blazing fast WIFI in every single room of my house 300m download and 150m upload. Super impressed!

I was a bit uncertain on which mesh router I really wanted...Let's face it, these things aren't cheap, and didn't want to make an expensive mistake! My house is not that large (split level, with 2,500 sq. ft. total) but I had some dead spots in the furthest two bedrooms with my traditional wifi router! ...I bought the Orbi +1, and all I can say is that I couldn't be happier! No more dead spots, no more disconnects, and I even get coverage on the outside of my house so that when I am snow blowing or mowing the lawn, doing yard work, or just sitting on my deck, I can access my wifi! I Love this thing, and it was worth every penny I paid for it!

Finally - solid WiFi at home! We struggled for months with a really weak signal: calling our provider, purchasing 2 extenders, juggling who was using which dual band, using an ethernet, switching from one dual band to the other...nothing worked! Enter Orbi to save the day! We have 4 devices always on and ALL have solid wifi signal. Today we even were outside on the patio watching videos. We are incredibly happy and highly recommend this technology. I received this Orbi for free as a trial and I'm so grateful I did!

Its fast. 2.4 &5.0g auto signal My house is 2590sq. Ft. I made sure I use the blue light to figure the correct link to the system. And it work but... All my smart plugs stop working and app only supports 2.4g. It can't connect becoz Orbi auto connects it to the stronger signal which is 5.0g Then it had a firmware update and it started dropping my galaxy s8 signal My note 4 drops too...i can't recommend this product to people how has too many to connect. I think it's still a premature technology. I would recommend this to people who only have simple connections.

I set up my new Orbi in my apartment using hte application on my Smart Phone. I would say that the service is an excellent extension of my current wifi service and coverage. It was easy to get going. However, I would say that the application had some issues when setting up the Orbi. I would recommend that you utliize the app fully buy first scrolling through the home menu when starting to find the exact Orbi product bought. It was a bit confusing to use the app but it worked out in less than 10 minutes and now my service is great inside and outside my place!

The Orbi router and satellite were really easy to set up. Before the Orbi I would get 1Mbps at the far corners of the house and basement (roughly 2K sq ft) with my previous router. Now I get 70Mbps everywhere including out in the yard.

Now that it is working, very satisfied. However, it was very hard to set-up, even with the step-by-step instructions and the app. My only problem now is that the ORBI does not have a USB port. Had I noticed this in the store, would not have purchased it. My previous routers had at least one USB port, where I inserted my external hard drive. I saved videos, photos, music, etc. on the hard drive and was able to connect and view my movies, slideshows, etc. from other networked devices throughout the house. In other words, the USB port allowed me to use the hard drive as a 24/7 networked media player. Even the oldest routers and most newer models provide at least one USB port.

Everyone in my house is connected and my old router just couldn't keep up. After setting this baby up (didnt take long) I now get a solid connection throughout my house and in my detached garage which is easily 200 feet away. I've tested the connection in multiple areas in and outside my house and I'm no longer getting dead spots. I'm a very happy with this system! I would like to point out that I got this product for free from NETGEAR as part of a test and review program.

Netgear support is free for 90days. I just used them to answer ? about Orbi. Had a little trouble working thru directions but got it done on my own then called next day to check if I understood everything correctly. I don't understand people writing in couldn't get support. I'v had other netgear products and support still there.

It is supposed to be the easiest one to set up but I had trouble. Maybe because I have 2 networks with the same name (I have my reasons). Got it to work once. Then moved it and could not get it to work again, even after reset.

I regret purchasing this. My phone won't stay connected to it but is fine with any other router. After researching I find the issue is that the SSID can't be separated for the 2.4 ghz and 5ghz so some devices error out when the 2 speeds have same SSID. I am now stuck with a 300 item that frustrates me. Anyone want to buy a used one?

This router was a pain to setup and never fully functioned. The mesh aspect never connected and NetGears end user support is terrible. Finding a number to call was a pain and getting good help was impossible. 2 weeks into using this product, my wifi would begin dropping and connecting every 30 seconds. There was no internet outage as my directly connected devices worked fine. I returned this product and purchased something else that actually worked.

My wall plug in has constantly failed and Netgear support is horrible with this phone support (India call center). I have spent hours trying to fix it and now it is not even turning on. Netgear is sending a replacement wall plug in unit, but I have my doubts on it working. I think it is a design issue, not something they are able to fix. I will post an updated review after I receive the replacement unit.
