I was replacing some older lan extenders. These were very easy and compact. They greatly increased my speed up to the max provided by our service provider.

These wereused for security cameras that were not near my NVR. They were finicky to get connected the first time, although I didnt read the instructions thoroughly.... took about 15 minutes to get them going.. but have not had an issue since. Plug one in here plug in your cable... plufg the other one over there, plug in your cable... BOOM.. works.. Neat trick.. I did have to move one off of the power strip on one end and plug it into the wall.. They tell you that in the notes...

It resolved an issue I was having at home in regards to internet connection while gaming. My modem is upstairs and this product has turned out to be perfect!

The netgear powerline works great in my bedroom. I have my modem in the basement and use my Xbox in the bedroom to stream movies and it does a great job!

Our electrical system dates to 1926, has been updated with circuit breakers and a limited number of modern grounded outlets. Nevertheless these AC network adapters work perfectly. I prefer to pay a bit more and avoid disappointment with generic or off-brands, especially with something as basic as getting reliable broadband. Currently running T-W cable 30 mbps and great performance (full-speed) by these devices.

Good thing my son and I stopped to speak with a tech expert at Best Buy. We were using a Netgear range extender for our wifi but it was either working great or not at all. I explained our situation; my son's computer is in a room that just doesn't pick up a signal well on his desktop computer and we didn't have a built in antenna put in it. I heard of these devices that you can plug in the wall but never looked in to them and was steered in the other direction. The BB expert said this would turn our electrical outlet into a sort of Ethernet extension cord! Now why didn't I get this before!! It works more consistently than the other device I mentioned. Don't hassle with putting a range extender in - use this one instead! It works great!
