This is the best way to deal with dead spots in multi-story homes. Net Gear sells a similarly named product that is less expensive but does NOT do the job. We have installed this in 3 properties and could not be happier with the results.

I bought this boost my wifi coverage from the house to my detached garage which is about 200 feet from where I have the power line plugged in. It definitely works with extending my internet signal. Was very simple to install and connect and works right through the power line with no break in speed. I am pleased with this product and it was cheaper than other products I looked at.

Idk what kind of black magic sorcery that makes this thing work but it works! I get consistent hardwire speeds regardless of where I plug it in the house. Plus this one has the wifi extension that makes it like a second router. Pretty legit.

We tried everything to get our new Smart TV to stream including buying a new modem & router. Nothing worked. This little device solved the problem. Tv streams now and as a bonus, we can now get wifi on our front porch! Easy set up too.

This is a nice update to the powerline series. The design is nice and the range is better than previous models. The setup is easy, the computer picked it up right away, really helped eliminate dead spots in the house that were annoying.

This powerline wifi extender allows you to easily and quickly extend the coverage of home's wifi regardless of how far your router is from your connected devices. The speed obtained from the powerline extender is considerably faster than my standard wifi extender that receives and magnifies the signal over the air. The only drawback is that NetGear does not sell the powerline access point device separately to fully extend my home's wifi coverage. I would have to buy another powerline adapter and access point kit.

I bought this powerline adapter about 2 months ago. It's not the cheapest, but took only about 10 minutes to install and create two new strong wifi signals in my downstairs room that never had good reception before.

We are so pleased with WiFi access point and adapter. It boosted the signal to the farthest corner of our home and the internet speeds have increased. No more lag and site crashes in the basement.

This has helped us extend our wifi signal through the house, with no delay. The room with the extension is as fast as if we were sitting right next to the modem itself!

My guest bedroom was tok far from the router and had very spotty connection. This extender allowed the entire other side of my home to finally use the wifi! It also has a port for ethernet so I hardwired my PC to it. Works so well I bought another one as a gift.

I always buy Netgear products for quality and easy installation. However, this product is not perfect yet and needs a lot of patience and tweaking. I am very computer and networks savvy so I'm typically comfortable with installation.
However, for this product initially had to reset it to factory default few times till I got it to work. Further, you need to run it few days till it is really stable and you get the ALL GREEN lights.
If you see the red light don't be alarmed but the units goes to sleep mode so the light turns red which is confusing during installation given you don't know that you picked a good location or not.
WiFi does not boost well to iPhone X or Xs but works great with laptops. I was going to return it but figured just use it for now till something better comes in the market.
Highly priced, but it is internet over power so buy it if you really need it otherwise I don't recommend.

I purchased the Netgear powerline AC1000 WiFi AP and Adapter because I had very weak WiFi in a bedroom that is shielded from my router's WiFi by built-in furniture. There is no in-between location to plug in a WiFi repeater, so this seemed like the best alternative.
The system was trivially easy to set-up. The instructions are clear and simple. I had it unboxed and up and running within 15 minutes. The WiFi signal is now strong in the bedroom and the link light says that the powerline link is good for >80 Mbps. Unfortunately, speed tests give me 35 - 38 Mbps. By contrast, my main WiFi provides 300 - 350 Mbps. I expected power line communication to be slower, but not quite this slow given a good powerline connection. Nevertheless, 35+ Mbps is more than I need in that one bedroom, so I am completely satisfied with this product.
One more point - I thought about adding another powerline WiFi AP in another dead spot in my house. However, Netgear does not appear to sell APs separately, even though the instructions clearly tell how to add up to 7 more APs to the powerline network. The other dead spot is far away from my router and a WiFi repeater will work for this.
