I was going to buy another 522GW but this one was on sale. It's the same as the other but with even higher resolution so it should be easier to read license plates in the videos. I am currently using it as a backyard surveillance camera. It's much better than my real surveillance cameras.

Records and play back well. Notice that app sometimes does not work properly and cannot connect to the dashcam. But when it does it accesses the camera by itself and has all the recordings. Make sure you get the correct SD cards. I got one that did not get the SD card with minimum speed requirement and it would not record.

Good video quality but app lacks stability on iOS.

The quality of the dash cam video is great but two problems I’m having. The camera doesn’t stay in a straight position always tilting. Second problem is that it freezes and I have to reset it. Both issues are very annoying.

It's mediocre at best. For the price, it is a big let down. The video quality isn't that great. Reviewing footage, any still frame of passing cars shows poor quality details; ie license plates. A number of times, the camera has just frozen. Upon doing a little research, this is common when the sd card fills up. What a waste. I got two 128g sd cards because the Nextbase sd card that I bought with the camera is only 32g. You have to buy the sd card separate from the camera. It's absurd. How don't you include an sd card? And all functions don't work unless the camera is hard-wired to the vehicle. I was talked out of the hard wire kit by a Best Buy salesperson. Thanks for that. Now I need to go back to Best Buy to get a hard-wire kit. Only days after this purchase, I was online looking for a replacement. Now that the 14 day return policy has passed, I'm stuck with this thing. I have to spend another $30+ for the hard-wire kit and the camera is not dependable. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I wouldn't recommend to my enemy's enemy. A waste of money if you plan on leaving your driveway.

Nextbase 622GW is a good product. I installed my device in my 2020 Dodge Charger. I permanently wired to the fuse box. Got the kits to do this installation. The only issue I had was my charger has the fuse box in the trunk. Had to extend the wiring myself to be able to have the device on the windshield and hide all of the wiring.

The Nextbase 622GW 4K Dash Cam is great. It is very easy to use. The Nextbase App makes it easy to view videos. The Best Buy installation is great. Easy scheduling that takes a hour.

I really love this dash camera. It’s very easy to install. Definitely what I would consider a real “plug and go” device.

Does a really good job of recording a wide-angle view (140 degrees) but the software is a little "clunky" if you are trying to document a drive longer than about 5 minutes. I take a number of drives through National Parks and landmarks (i.e., the Virgin River Gorge) and like to record and save the trip.

So far, so good. Very clear picture and easy to operate. I bought one for my daughter and my brother. They love it!

Camera has an excellent 4K view. It us nice and clear.

I know it’s got a high price but it’s worth it. Video is crystal clear. Doesn’t pay to have a dash cam if you can’t make out plates and details.

After less than one year of operation, the battery no longer holds a charge. The device will not operate with the rear camera anymore. The phone application has been nothing but a buggy mess with connection problems. No refund outside of 30 days. Lesson learned.

Amazing picture quality is number 1. Can see license plates clearly and details of cars that other cameras miss. Also like the ability to add a cabin.cameda and rearview camera. All work flawlessly together. Everything about the camera is worth the cost.

Easy to set up. Excellent video quality. Magnetic mount makes it easy to install/remove. Nextbase says to use their micro-SD card but not clear if other name brand cards w/same specs will work as well.

This dashcam replaces 422GW. All my existing mounting hardware worked which is awesome. Easy setup. I think this is a great option for a 4K dashcam. I recommend this brand in general, and generally did a hardwired install for a friend in her SUV.

Been looking for a decent dash cam for a few months now and kept coming back to this one. Purchased it as a packages along with the optional rear camera and hardware and installed it last week with the help of a electrical/automotive savvy friend. Running the wires (mine is hardwired to the fuse block for parking mode) was the biggest installation pain. The setup pages are pretty intuitive although there are still a few small things I need to figure out yet. Probably will never use the what3words or Alexa features but I suppose they're nice to have, just in case. The 4K video is great and the app that everyone seems to complain about has been working fine without errors. Unless something catastrophic happens in the near future, this camera meets/exceeds my needs and I'd recommend it for a moderately priced dash cam with all the bells and whistles.
