Nextbase 322GW keeps turning off because of fault

The camera kept turning off during normal driving, in two different vehicles, powered by the cigarette lighter cable connected to the windscreen holder. Initially I thought the fault was with the power cable. Halfords sent me a replacement but that did not work either. I then found that the camera does hold power if I connect the power cable (or a USB cable) directly to the camera and not to the holder, from the same power source. So the fault lies in the power connection between the holder and the camera. I suggested to Halfords that I would keep the faulty dashcam, operating it as above, if they agreed to a partial refund. However Halfords insist I return it, a significant motoring trip, leave it with them for testing so I will have to do without it, then another motoring trip to get a replacement. They have not offered a refund. So the responsibility for the fault is theirs but all the inconvenience, time lost and fuel cost falls to me. I will stick to Internet purchases in future as consumer rights are far better protected there.

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having a problem with your 322GW Dashcam. Is the Screen Saver turned off please? This would turn the Dashcam's screen off after 30 seconds of driving or use.
If the Screen Saver is disabled, please do go into Halfords and they will be able to check the Dashcam for you. If required, they will be able to exchange the Dashcam for you on the same day.

junk. BUYER BEWARE. Camera lasted only a week.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY,BUYER BEWARE. and unless your in the UK, good luck trying to resolve the issue. will be going back to Garmin for my dashcams.. never had these headaches.

Can't set this up in 15 min and go, now it will take days. Made in England where they must sell the memory card separately.

There are multiple options of micro SD cards available. For a 322GW, I would recommend a 32GB, 64GB or 128GB U3 SD card, specifically designed for Dash Cam or CCTV usage. Using a dash cam compatible SD card will allow your Dash Cam to function as designed. The card needs to have a minimum continuous write speed of 48MB/s.
For guaranteed functionality and warranty of the SD card itself, I'd suggest a Nextbase Micro SD card. These can be purchased as a separate item at the same time as your Dashcam.

Gets extremely hot- blisters the fingers, I do live in Florida but it’s scary hot. I see the price has come down again but I wouldn’t have another one if you paid me to take it.

Had first camera 3 days before it happened. Returned it, and the second one only lasted about 2 hours before it fell down.
