The system works OK and for the price for the DVR nd 8 cameras it is an OK value. They shipped my setup short 4 camera power supplies and I had to go through an hour or more of nonsense, sending photos of everything I got to show it was short the power supplies, etc. They did finally send the missing power supplies. Problem 1: They don't know how to ship things accurately. The software for the iPhone works OK. Their software for Macintosh work anywhere from mediocre to not at all depending on which version of Mac OS you are running. Problem 2: The don't know how to create and test the software that is essential to using their products.

The system does not send most of the notifications until I open my phone or sometimes I also must open the app. The cameras work sporadically even with recommended range extenders. The cameras are from 10 to 40 feet away from the NVR as well as the router. Night vision comes on and off. I have tried tech supports suggestions with little to no improvement

I was very excited to have this system installed since It was highly rated. After using it for approximately a month, I am pretty disappointed. It misses so many events! Even a simple thing of me walking out to the porch is missed when I tried to replay it. Also, it only replays 30 seconds then cuts off in the middle of people running around my property.

2 cameras were broke. Bestbuy only wanted to refund me 10% which isnt even enough to buy 1 camera to replace the broken 2 i have. Supervisor refuse to help me. The app is straight trash. The video quality is good when the app works. This system is not worth $700. You can get a china brand system for a $500 cheaper and work better

The 1st set was great. It’s the 2nd set I ? as I wanted 2 more cameras for a total of 10 & you only sell 8 in a box as the highest amount.

Ordered online and received quickly. Have mounted and plugged in, working on programming night owl pro tech. So far the night owl x seemed to be more user friendly. Once programmed may like this as well.

Returned it back since the installation was going to be a mess. Lots of cables! The BestBuy technician did not want to do the installation.

Our systems are sold as DIY (Do-it-Yourself) kits. The only difficult portion of the installation is running the cables from the cameras to the DVR/NVR. How hard that is depends upon your setup and level of comfortability with cabling. We do have some customers who opt to hire a 3rd party installers, which is always an option. However, one of our Wireless Systems may better suit your needs.

works good but 1 camera did not work out of the box !!! no matter what i do it will not work done evrything i was told to do by tech support no luck and no replacement camer dont know if i want to buy just 1 camera for 100$

POOR SECURITY SYSTEM

Overall this is a very poor system. The camera clarity is the only thing above average. Motion detection is terrible regardless of sensitivity setting. Cameras see humans or vehicles only from maybe 20 feet and in. Forget about pets or other animals walking right in front of the cameras. Viewing timeline is horrible. You'll get " oops something went wrong ". The system is trying to blame it on your WiFi connection. I've got EERO 6+ dual mesh router and pulling 5Ghz to my phone and 2.4 GHz to the NVR. The blame goes to NightOwl on this. Almost impossible to view any motion events or just 24/7 recording. Customer support is really special too. They advertise 24/7 support. You can forget about that too. I let my phone stay on hold twice and it took over an hour to speak to someone. The chat line isn't much better either there's no one there to chat unless you're into AI bots NOT. When I did speak to tech support on a bad camera they didn't know very much. They're more like tech support secretary and take your information to pass on to their engineers that don't get back to you. Run very far away from this security system. I'd rate this a big zero if I could.

You clearly have a great Wi-FI network but we would advise you consider what your actual internet provider has for up/down speeds when you are adding 4K video feeds for 8 or more cameras. That will sizably impact internet throughput which is what then allows your mobile device to review footage. Your purchase comes with a one year warranty against material defect or failure.
