Love these binoculars! I bought them for an Alaska cruise and loved loved them. I however enjoy themmore watching my grandson playing football. They let me see the plays up close. My daughter wanted a pair unfortunately i bought the wrong ones. So I returned hers and bought these again for her. Pay attention Andrew Tapia

I know a little about optics and I found this binocular, the Nikon - Aculon A211 8x42, to have some very nice characteristics for a product in its price class.
First, the color fidelity of the view is extraordinary. The view is bright and colors are very natural. It's difficult to explain but easy to see. Also, I see little if any chromatic aberration (the purple glow of a bright object in a high contrast view). For optics not using expensive Extra-low Dispersion glass elements, this is extraordinary. I believe the special aspheric lens element in the eyepieces corrects this problem.
Views are very sharp and the 8x magnification is easier to keep steady than higher values.
On the downside, the very edge of the field is slightly defocused from the center, but unless you look for it, it isn't troublesome.
Also, looking at a very bright object such as the moon against a very dark background, the image is clean and sharp, but there are some internal reflections apparent.
I feel the pluses far outweigh the minuses and I have to give this bino a 5-star. To get a perfect glass you can spend $500, $1,000 and much more. For much, much less, the Nikon A211 is a very pleasing visual experience.

The Nikon Aculon a211 8x42 binoculars are simple and reliable. The rubber eye cups allow me to wear my glasses while using the binoculars. There is a diopter adjust on the right eye then it's just a matter of focus using the center wheel. Easy and quick and doable one handed. Not excessively heavy but the feel sturdy. There is a soft lightly padded nylon case and lens covers included. I chose Nikon for their reputation with optics and as a photographer I'm familiar with Nikon. Good color, easy to hold and focus, rubber on barrels feels secure. I use these for birding and critter photography. They are not water proof so I take the same protective precautions I would use for my camera. If you are looking for an inexpensive solid pair of binoculars I think you will like these.

These are easy to hold, easy to focus binoculars with an acceptable range for the price . The strap and travel/storage case are useful and well made. These were purchased with casual vacation use in mind and they fit the bill well.

I feel the Nikon Aculon A211 8x42 binocular gives outstanding views for an instrument in its price class. The field of view is wide, the images are bright and sharp with excellent contrast and the color fidelity is surprisingly good. It gives the viewer that 'immersive' experience that is usually found in more expensive models. I believe the aspheric lens elements and fully multi-coated optics are responsible for the A211's performance. Not being an expensive ED glass model I expected a level of chromatic aberration - the purple or yellow glow seen on highly contrasting objects. In the A211 this aberration is very well controlled and virtually non-existent. It isn't a ultra elite high priced binocular. There are imperfections in the image if you know what to look for and are specifically looking for them. But they are insignificant to the overall experience and do not detract from the excellence of the binocular. Viewing with the A211s is very enjoyable and satisfying and even more amazing considering such a reasonable price.

Little pricey to buy but once you feel the quality and use it often to magnify and appreciate far objects, you’ll forgive Nikon for the price tag. I recently started using it to watch celestial objects (moon, constellations, stars....) and I am thrilled. Except for the shaking that comes naturally from our own body, it did a great job magnifying the faaaaar away objects. The moon looked spectacular. Of course, you can look at the images online but once it was through just the binoculars, I felt like a child again. I wish I had a tripod for it.

When the luna eclipse in September was upon us, my husband and I decided we wanted to take our godchildren to go see it away from the city lights. We researched telescopes as well as binoculars but it was a review that made us decide to try this little gem out. When we arrived to the store, we got the very last pair! When we arrived to our location and set up the binoculars, the images were amazing! Clear, focused and detailed. We all had an amazing time seeing the stages of the eclipse. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a step above a basic pair of binoculars.

My daughter wanted these for nature walks and to bring to events where you possibly sit far away. They work great for this. Powerful enough and a decent wide angle view. The wide angle view was important and makes these versatile.

The binoculars are perfect for bird identification and watching ducks on the pond with excellent focus and range of vision. Good balance in heft which helps to stabilize while not too heavy or awkward.

Lightweight, affordable with excellent optics for the price. Image is clear and crisp with a good level of brightness. Weather resistant with a good set of lens caps.

These binoculars have a fantastic image. They are super clear and they’re the perfect magnification in my opinion. I use these mostly for night viewing of the stars and couldn’t be happier. The only issue I’ve found are the eyepiece mechanisms are too flimsy and have a lot of play that could result in the breakage. Other than that they’re great.

I purchased the ACULON A211 8x42 binoculars for my husband as a Christmas gift. We frequently have wildlife in the field behind our house and beyond our pond and wanted a low priced product that gave a clear view. I read many reviews before deciding on this brand. These binoculars didn't disappoint. The view is crystal clear and they are easy to adjust. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a lightweight pair of binoculars that provide a concise view but don't cost a fortune.

I wanted a decent pair of binoculars just for the house to see out into the fields. I'm only glassing a couple hundred yards to see deer, turkey and coyotes.. These did the trick.

I was looking for a pair of binoculars for star gazing. Needed to be light weight so they wouldn't need to be on tripod. These were.fairly inexpensive and fit my need. Plus they are Nikon so great quality glass.

When the name NIKON is on the barrel, you can count on quality, and these binocs live up to their name. I bought the 8X40s. The image is bright, clear and sharp. I use these for birding and stargazing. They provide good magnification, are easy to hold steady, and show details in my subject very well. They also include a wide neck strap, which is very comfortable, and lens caps that you can clip onto the strap when using the glasses. A total recommendation.
