This is a big lens with good performance when mounted on a D850. Focusing is very fast. Struggles a little to get accurate focus on close subjects. I also notice some CA at the edges, but Lightroom fixes that. Landscape work is really nice. Really good for low light. Very nice results when doing focus stacking. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive.

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend and at first he said it wasn’t something that he would use very often and asked if he could return it. But after he tried it with his Nikon and tested it in the back yard he was convinced not to return it. The pictures are amazing, really adds a whole new dimension to his photography. Not only is he using it, he bought a filter for it also ;)

This lens does NOT come off my camera. It's an expensive glass but you get what you pay for. If you are choosing your first upgraded lens, do yourself a favor and purchase this. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. From weddings, to portraits, to sports- I use this lens!

Super fast autofocus and sharp images, especially in the sweet spot. The only drawback I can see is that it is longer and heavier than it’s non-VR predecessor.

I love the lens. Focus is very sharp and F2.8 is needed for low light situation.

I was very amazed by this lens. It's sharp and quick on my Nikon d850. I like that it has a vibration switch too or the VR. The 24-70mm lens is always a great option because it practically does it all. It's a workhorse.
