Im very pleased with my purchase. I settled on the nikon because i was familiar with the name. Deciding on the 10 instead of the 8 and the 42 for compactness i was very pleased to be able to see a crow pretty clearly at about 300 yards in a tree a ways off. I would recoment these binos.

So happy with this purchase. After researching the different binoculars out there I decided on the Nikon ProStaff for my husband's retirement gift since he recently took up bird watching. I fully expected him to not be happy with whatever I purchased because he has corrective lenses and it has been difficult to find a pair he can see clearly with but to my surprise this pair has worked out perfectly. They are light weight and have the clearest vision.

Bought these for my sister for a birthday gift, and I have also used them while hiking with her as well. She loves them. Detail is awesome for a compact binocular. Only downside is that lens caps fall off easily. There is an extension on the cap that is supposed to allow you yo attach the caps to the neck strap, but the caps slip off anyway, and we lost a cap on first use. Nikon is shipping new caps. I would suggest reinforcimg the closure on the cap extension with black duct or electrical tape so they don't slip off the strap. Otherwise this is a perfect compact binocular for hikers.

Nice but I thought that due to the power I could see celestial bodies as well. It's obviously good for looking at things in the yard or at the beach, etc. You can see the moon pretty nicely but not more than that. I realize it's not a telescope but thought it had more use to it. Still a nice product though.

I bought these as a gift for someone else. This is the third pair I‘ve purchased (the first two were likewise given as gifts), and I keep going back to Nikon because of their reputation for durability and superior quality optics.

Awesome pair of binoculars. The only set back really is the covers as they fall off easily and if you are hiking, that is the end of them…

Beautiful set of binoculars here, excellent clarity and not to heavy for packing on a trip. Money well spent.

The binoculars are such an improvement from the old pair. We've used them already to see the planets.

Inferior item from production and assembly. Gas bubble, and fingerprint on the inside.
