Nikon user for over a decade. First mirrorless camera and I am incredibly impressed. The usability and functionality of the Nikon Z5 is remarkable. If we can some more affordable/amateur lenses to go along with this, it will be perfect.

Till now, satisfied with my purchase. Yet to try it out with multiple other lenses. Capture quality and liveliness of the photos are stunning. thankful to get a good deal to buy this beauty! :)

This camera works great for landscapes and slow-moving portraits. Autofocusing on fast moving subjects is its weakness even with the newest firmware. Focus peaking is an incredibly valuable feature when shooting landscapes so you can see exactly what parts of the scene are in focus, but for taking pics of the kids playing in the backyard I still use the D700. The Z5 simply can't compete with older DSLRs when it comes to the acquiring focus and shooting quickly enough to capture fast moving subjects with low apertures, especially when they're running towards or away from the camera.

We had already purchased three Nikon Z5s for our church and were so satisfied with the operation, versatility, and performance that we bought three more. We are using them for video streaming and video podcasting. One caution for those considering using this for video, and the manual cautions about this, they get fairly warm when using them more than a half hour. We have them on a little over an hour but we are also feeding them directly to an ATEM mini pro switcher so they are not recording to the SD card which may help some with the heat issue but they are still very warm after the hour.
