My family and I are huge Ninja product fans but the creami was a disappointment. You have to continuously respin and add liquid and the consistency still wasn’t ice cream. It’s not worth the time or money for this product.

Terribly bad purchase, machine only worked one time, now only blinks lights and nothing works to appease the safety glitches. Hours spent making the base and trying to remove and reinstall all of the different items that could be causing the glitch were wasted.

So cool! We love that it does so many different things. The ability to make delicious drinks and delicious ice cream all from the same machine is amazing! The only downside is you do have to freeze everything (unless you’re making milk shakes) 24 hours in advance. You will definitely want to order more pint containers so you can have some pre mixed and frozen if you want to randomly make drinks or some ice cream.

The Ninja Creami Deluxe 10-in-1 Ice Cream and Frozen Treat Maker is a definite upgrade on the ice cream maker that I previously owned. This unit is streamlined, professional looking, and fits conveniently beneath my kitchen cabinets (around 17 inches tall x 8 ½ inches wide x 12 inches long). Solidly built, as I’ve come to expect Ninja products to be, and aesthetically pleasing in a silver and black color palette, this appliance will look great in any kitchen. This particular version of the Creami is an upgrade on both the 5-in-1 and 7-in-1 versions that now allows you to make frozen yogurt, Italian ice, Creamiccinos, and other frozen drinks, in addition to the previous ice cream, lite ice cream, sorbet, gelato, milkshakes, mix-ins, and smoothie bowels. The included recipe booklet and Quick start guide are extremely handy when learning how to operate the machine. Reading them first will give you some invaluable tips on how to produce a successful product.
Assembly out of the box requires simply placing a lidless frozen pint container inside of the outer bowel, attaching the lid to the outer bowel and sliding and snapping the outer bowel onto the base. Two 24oz pint containers with lids are included and more can be purchased separately as needed. A removable paddle sits in the lid of the outer bowel and blends or folds the ingredients together to produce the desired product. All of the removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe but to extend their life I definitely recommend hand washing and air-drying. Use of the machine requires 3 steps -the selection of a processing mode (Top, Full, or Bottom dependent on what part of the frozen pint you want processed), turning the dial to select the designated program for your treat (10 options), and then pressing that dial to start the process.
So far I have made coffee flavored ice cream, pineapple sorbet, and lemonade Italian ice using the Creami Deluxe. All of the finished products rival any product that I can purchase in a store. Next time I make ice cream I will use more milk and less cream since I feel like it was extremely rich. I will also use canned fruit in heavy syrup vs. light syrup since I prefer a sweeter tasting sorbet. Trial and error will be my friend as I explore the possibilities that the Creami offers and I’m sure I’ll happily devour all of my experiments. I found that I was able to sidestep the requirement that ingredients be frozen for 24 hours prior to processing when I figured out that my deep freezer could solidly freeze the ingredients in a little over 12 hours vs. the 16-20 hours that my refrigerator’s freezer took. The deep freezer did cause both my sorbet and my Italian ice to have a grainy texture after their first processing but reprocessing the pints using the Re-Spin button resolved that issue. I recommend keeping some pints prepped in your freezer for whenever you want a spur of the moment treat since pre-freezing is a requirement. In addition, the purchase of additional pint containers will be needed if serving a large number of people.
The Ninja Creami Deluxe offers an infinite number of frozen treat options by consolidating the performance of numerous other kitchen appliances into one system. This would make a great gift for the foodie in your life or as a welcome addition to your Ninja line of kitchen appliances.

GOOD
- Can make very nice and creamy deserts
- Wide range of frozen treat options
- Ability to split a jar half and half
BAD
- Large and loud
- Have to plan 18-24 hours in advance
- Only makes up to one pint at a time
- Only includes two jars
- Learning the different modes for different deserts not in recipe book can be difficult
TLDR
The Ninja CREAMi Deluxe is an expensive, niche product that takes lots of pre-planning and preparation to use. It's probably not something most people need or want. But, if you need a specialty machine because you're really into frozen drinks, frozen deserts, or entertain a lot of people, the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe stands high on the list of choices, though it's probably a short list at that.
DETAILS
If you want more than a basic milkshake, and your normal blender isn't up to the task for your iced drinks, the Ninja CREAMi is an option that may interest you. Despite the manual saying multiple times "this is not a blender," it is in fact a blender, just a specialty one that's designed for high torque and lower speed.
This isn't as an ice cream machine that whips a mix in a chilled jar and makes ice cream. Instead you make a mix, pour it in one of the supplied jars, freeze it completely, and then the machine churns it up. The pre-freezing part means this isn't a spontaneous machine. You have to plan in advance, sometimes multiple days, in order to make something. You have to have the ingredients on hand to make a mix and it has to freeze completely, which usually takes 24 hours. The CREAMi will mix pre-made ice cream on the spot, if you want something right now and don't have a jar pre-frozen. So if you have plain chocolate or vanilla ice cream already, you can mix in fruits, nuts, or syrups to make some different varieties and flavors.
The CREAMi comes with a recipe book to give you ideas what it can make. Thick scoopable ice cream, frozen yogurt and gelato, milkshakes, frozen coffees and hot chocolate, etc. The CREAMi may be a one trick pony, but it's a pretty wide ranging trick. In terms of operation, it is pretty simple to use. Lock the frozen jar in the caddy, then lock the caddy in the main unit. Select the type of thing you're making and press go. The presets determine how fast the blade spins, how fast it plunges into the mix, and all that. The presets are named for what you're trying to make, so if you're sticking to basics or the recipe book, it's easy. But if you try to make your own variations, you might get some poor results until you learn what modes work best for which deserts.
The machine has "mix-in" and "re-spin" functions. The mix-in is for when you're adding something to the jar after it's been churned, like adding nuts or cookie pieces to ice cream. The re-spin is for a second churn, usually if you want a smoother consistency. With these, you can also select whether you want to mix half the jar or all of it. This is a nice feature that lets you split a frozen base to make different things. For example, if you have a frozen vanilla ice cream base, you can mix the top half as is, scoop it out, then add some chocolate and strawberries to the bottom to get two different flavors.
The big downsides, other than cost for a dedicated machine, are time. This isn't a instant machine and it takes some decent counter space. You have to have frozen mix first, which takes a day or more. Even then, whipping and churning it up can take up to ten minutes per jar if you churn it multiple times and use mix-ins. During that time, it is pretty loud and you only end up with one pint of desert. The instruction manual recommends you keep a few jars frozen in advance so you can be more spur-of-the-moment, but the CREAMi only comes with two jars. That's not much available in advance for even four people to split, let alone if you're expecting a small gathering. There really should be four jars included.

I’ve been eyeing the Ninja Creami for some time. When the new Ninja Creami Deluxe became available, I went for it, as I have a family of 5 and many reviewers say the original Creami makes only one pint of ice cream each time. The Creami Deluxe comes with 2 three cup bowls that each produce one quart.
I’ve made sorbets using the Creami Deluxe and the texture is perfect, just like store bought brands but much healthier. The first sorbet I made was with only a can of pineapple in pineapple juice. The result was a very creamy and thick sorbet. I’ve also made delicious frozen yogurt using fresh strawberries and a cup of Greek yogurt. The results were impressive.
For comparison, I have made “nice cream” using my Vitamax blender. The result is not even close to how creamy the Ninja Creami produces frozen desserts. I also had a Cuisinart ice cream maker. I didn’t like the Cuisinart ice cream machine because the large freezer bowl had to be kept in the freezer before use. I seldom had enough space in my freezer for it. I found the ice cream made in the Cuisinart wasn’t as creamy and thick as the Ninja Creami.
The Ninja Creami is very easy to use. Cleaning the parts is also easy. If you’re looking to make healthy frozen desserts, the Ninja Creami Deluxe is the way to go.

Ninja products are great and that includes this Ninja CREAMi !
The fun thing about this CREAMi is that you can do/make so many things with it.
Setup is simple. Two pint containers, blade (churner), container holder and machine. The machine has a dial that allows you to choose what you want it to do... many options to try out... ice cream (that's my main thing) regular and light, sorbet (also yummm), gelato frozen yogurt, italian ice, milkshake (another go-to), slushi, frozen drink, creamiccino.
If you are making ice cream, you have to make the base (basically the whole thing) the day before... more specifically 24 hours before. Make your flavor, put it in the pint container (or mix it in your pint container) and put it in your freezer. It says don't use a deep freezer. You also want it to sit level. After 24 hours, stick in its place and get it started. The CREAMi is loud so be ready for that. Note 1: there is a respin button on the machine. Use it! It will not be abnormal for your ice cream to not quite be ready the first time. And if you need to respin a third time, just do it. That's why it's there. Note 2: mixins :-D Listen, you can mix things in like this... create a vortex in the center of your mixed ice cream (use a teaspoon or the other side of the teaspoon or something like that) and stick your mixins inside... and then mixin!
I made regular vanilla and put some vanilla beans in it. I was impressed. It was a nice consistency and good. Then I did regular vanilla but I put cut up pieces of snickers in as a mixin. That one was fun and yummmm.
There is a recipe book that comes with it but understand that it has recipes for all the mix options so it's not full of all of one type of treat. But this is 2022. There are recipes everywhere.
This is a fun machine. If you are into kitchen gadgets/small appliances, and you like cold treats, then get it. It's not cheap, but what Ninja product is cheap? If you like, and you can afford, then why not. And enjoy some yummm yummm. I recommend it.

Unique product for making frozen treats at home

This ninja creami device allows you to make frozen treats that would otherwise be difficult to make at home or need individual special equipment. It does this by taking a frozen "base" mixture and processing it in a unique way that is like a mixer/blender. You create your mixture and put it in one of the two included cups, and freeze for 24hrs. Then, snap it into place and select the type of processing. It just takes a couple minutes.
Everything is very easy to clean and take apart.
My wife and I made the first recipe, vanilla ice cream, and it turned out absolutely delicious. When first taking the frozen mixture out of the freezer, it seems hard and not likely to turn out well, but after the processing, its creamy and delicious. Some of the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had. There is even a way to mix in chocolate chips or oreos. I look forward to trying more tweaks to that recipe.
The creami comes with a recipe book with many different options ranging from ice cream to slushies to margaritas. I am very curious to try more of these.
Certainly a recommended product for those looking to make frozen treats at home and who would enjoy tweaking the recipes.
Considerations/Downsides - everything needs to be frozen ahead of time. The machine makes a bit of noise like a blender.

Okay, I am not much of a homemade ice cream fan; it takes a long time to get that perfect, frozen consistency, and ice needs to be continually added to keep things cold enough. This machine completely changes that game!
It is so easy to use! Simply freeze your base (can make from included recipe book or make your own) for 24 hours and use a preset button on the CREAMi to get whatever frozen treat you want, whether it be ice cream, slushies, sorbets, milkshakes, even frozen margaritas. One of the cooler features is making two flavors in one pint container by using the blend top/bottom spinning feature. For example, you like chocolate chips but she likes cookie dough? You can split your pint and get your mix-ins however you like. This makes it so easy to personalize your treat to get exactly what you are in the mood for.
My favorite feature: most parts are top rack dishwasher safe! It makes clean up a whole lot easier. My least favorite feature: it can be frustrating to wait an entire 24 hours for the base to freeze when you usually want that instant gratification of a treat right when you want it.

The Ninja Creami Deluxe is one of the coolest Ninja appliances that I now own. I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I eat a lot of ice cream and other frozen treats. I do try to choose a non-dairy, healthier option, when I can. But I also like to treat myself to a milkshake or some good old fashioned dairy ice cream, if I’ve been good at the gym and deserve a reward! With this new Creami Deluxe I’m in total control and can choose what ingredients to use depending on my mood. I get to decide if I want to go the healthy route with a sorbet or lite non-diary ice cream or if I want to indulge myself in a fully loaded Death by Chocolate, chocolate ice cream recipe. With the cost of ice cream and other frozen treats skyrocketing, making my own at home should help me to save money over time. Especially if I use berries, fruit and other ingredients that I can harvest from my yard, garden, and family owned land. And I can get as exotic as I want. Who’s excited to try some Morel mushroom ice cream next spring and maybe some PawPaw sorbet later next fall? I am!
The Creami Deluxe comes well packaged in a cardboard box with cardboard inserts and plastic bags, which can both be recycled. Getting the unit set up is very easy. Just unbox it, unbag a couple parts and find the included quick start guide and the 73 page recipe booklet. Also be sure to read and review the owners guide and safety instructions prior to using anything. You will want to wash/rinse off all the parts to remove any dust or debris from packaging and shipment, just to be safe.
Once everything is unboxed and rinsed off, spend some time reviewing the recipe booklet and decide what to make. All recipes require a base that needs to be prepared and frozen for at least 24 hours. The Creami does not freeze or cool anything itself, it only mixes and creams the ingredients after they have been frozen in your home freezer. This might be a deal breaker for some, but I don’t mind and I’ll probably buy a couple additional Deluxe pints and lids from the Ninja website so that I can have a few bases on hand at all times. According to the recipe booklet most of the bases can be frozen for up to two weeks before using.
The first recipe I tried was the Rocky Road & Double Cookie Ice Cream. Mixing the ingredients for the base is simple. Combine softened cream cheese, cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla, until smooth. Then slowly mix in heavy cream and milk until fully combined and the sugar is dissolved. Freeze the mixture/base for 24 hours. Once frozen, remove the lid, inspect to ensure base has frozen level, and place the deluxe pint, containing the frozen base, in the outer bowl. Attach the Creamerizer Paddle to the outer bowl lid and attach the lid to the outer bowl, placing the outer bowl onto the base unit. From this point you select the program to use and begin processing until the program is complete. I didn’t realize it when I made my shopping list, but this is a recipe for two different ice creams that use the same chocolate base. I already had all the ingredients for both types of ice cream, so I proceeded to make each type from the same base. The Creami Deluxe gives you the option to process the top, full or bottom of the deluxe pint. For this recipe you process the top, remove the pint, dig a hole half way down, add ingredients, process top half only, remove blended ice cream and repeat the process for the bottom half with different added ingredients. It’s a pretty great way for two people to have two different ice creams using one base. You can also choose to freeze and store the bottom half of an unblended base to use later if you want. I don’t know if it’s because of the fresh ingredients, or just because I made it with love, but it really came out tasting fantastic! Both flavors were great, better than any store bought chocolate ice cream that I’ve had, that’s for sure!
The next recipe I tried was the Frozen Chai Latte. For this recipe you only need two ingredients, which I already had. Concentrated chai latte mix and whole milk. The milk can be substituted for any dairy-free alternative if you choose. Making this frozen drink is super easy. Just add the milk and chai to the Drinkable Freeze Line on the deluxe pint, mix it and freeze it. Once frozen add some more chai concentrate as a “pour-in” to the Drinkable Pour-In line, and mix using the Full setting and the Creamiccino function. The drink came out smooth and delicious, so great that I immediately mixed up another one to freeze for the next day.
Clean up is fast and easy. There are only four parts that need washed and they are all top-rack dishwasher safe. The unit itself doesn’t get messy at all, unless there is a spill or sticky fingers pressing buttons, but even that should clean up easily.
I’m so happy that I got this new Ninja Creami Deluxe and I can’t wait to show it off to friends and family over the holidays. I sense home made eggnog milkshakes and peppermint candy cane ice cream in my very near future. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys frozen treats and frozen mixed drinks. Just be prepared to wait 24 hours, which isn’t too bad if you plan ahead for yourself your family or any parties or events where you might like to use it.

First, I want to say that I really like the Ninja creami deluxe. The machine comes with 2 containers for your frozen treats, so you can be freezing the next one while still enjoying the other. Also, it makes about 1 quart, which is plenty for 3-4 generous servings. Each container comes with a lid so you can freeze any leftovers to enjoy the next day. The best part is the containers are dishwasher safe!
I have used the Creami to make a slushy, sorbet and ice cream and here is my observations. First, I want to quantify my freezer that I used and it’s temp. The unit requires that you freeze your treat in a freezer for a minimum of 24 hours. This is essential to ensure your treat has the right consistency. For myself, I put my treats in an upright freezer with a temperature setting of 0* F. I have made a peach sorbet out of lightly sweetened canned peaches, vanilla ice cream with whole milk and cream, and a slushy with100% juice cranberry juice. The slushy was smooth without any chunks of ice and almost too cold to drink. We let it set for a couple of minutes and it was a perfect slushy. The ice cream and sorbet had a very smooth ice cream consistency. The top of the ice cream was a little crumbly because it was so cold, so we used the re-spin feature and it was a perfect consistency.
Overall, this is a great addition to our appliances. I can see us using it for small get together and making desserts after dinner. It only takes 4-5 minutes to make your treat and would be a great product for kids to watch it being made. The box comes with a recipe book that gives you great ideas of how to customize your treat with whatever fruit or candy you like.
