I chose this over the 3DS due to my niece and nephews complaining that the 3D option gave them headaches. So far out of all their gifts its the only thing they play the most and with it being a solid unit, there is less of a chance of anything breaking from opening and closing constantly.

Great for any age or anyone. 3ds gives me headaches so the 2ds allows me to play all games without the annoyance. Just wish it would close in half like the other ds systems.

My 5 year old grandson loves this item. I bought him this gift for his birthday. He didn't care to much for the 3DS.

Perfect for kids, easy to use and even fun for adults who used to play games on older consoles.

My son can handle and does not like 3-D anything, but want to play all of the 3DS game. The other feature that I like is the "tablet" shape and no hinges. My kids are extremely hard on their DS and usually the hinges break on their old DS.

We really like the 2DS. Didn't feel like we HAD to get a 3DS, and we can still play the 3DS games, plus the original DS games. We originally replaced our DS, which we had for about 8 years until it broke. We had a 2DS for about 3 months, when it accidentally fell from the seat in the car onto the ground. This time around, we bought a case (by Nerf) that it sits in. It's fallen 2-3 times and the case has saved it. Also like the bottom grip the case added, cause without the case it feels like it would easily slip out of your hands. Overall, we love it and the games for it.

I bought the 2DS for one of my kids for Xmas, it´s great because he can exchange games with the previous versions. What I am waiting is for Nerf to make a sturdy case for this 2DS because the "case" that the nintendo sells is more a bag than a case itself.

Bought this for granddaughter who turned 6. She loves it, bought 2DS and also 3DS games--no problems.

I bought the 2DS for my son and he loves it! Very durable piece of tech.

I really like the new games that come with the Nintendo 2D.It is extremely portable and I have no problems interacting with friends. Being able to choose my favorite color was a plus. All of my friends wish they had one and always want to use my 2D. thank YOU Nintendo

I bought this system to play games that are only available on this console. I love that its easy to hold, and that it has good battery life.

Love the fact that the 3DS games can be played on 2DS system. My daughter wanted a 3DS system but when I heard about the vision problems it was causing some people I decided not to buy it. The 2DS was a great idea by Nintendo.

Bought this system for my son for Christmas and he likes the new upgrade from his old DS system. I like that you can purchase any DS game and it can be used with this system. Even the 3DS games work, except you can't see it in 3D, but it still plays.

My son asked for this device over the newer one because he said there have been issues with the newer being that it opens and then you play a game. He said newer one has problems with hinge do to opening and closing it.

overall i think its great for her first game system

My brother wanted a 3DS for the longest time and when the 2DS was announced, he grew giddy with joy! Very cheap and great quality for those budget buyers!

Product is tough and easy to use so I am comfortable with my 6 year old using it on his own.

I bought this for my son for a Christmas present. He had a 3DS & I thought I would upgrade to a 3DS XL but he wanted the new 2DS. he loves it. I love the fact that it plays all his 3d games also. Great buy
