I had initially bought the non-charging grip and had no way to charge my joycons with just my Switch Lite. This is an absolute must buy they charge so quickly! Don't make the mistake of getting the Power A version as this one is much more comfortable

I've owned a Switch for a while now, and I can honestly say that I've never had my Joycons die on me. I thought that the Joycon's lifespan would be similar to the Switch's but that wasn't the case at all. So here I am with an extra Joycon holding controller that charges them if you so wish to do that. I mean, if you have a couple of lads or gals just coming over, maybe they bring their Switches as well, then you got an extra controller for someone who isn't too fond of the Joycons. And, it charges too! So really, if you have a lot of friends, this is a good pick-up. Also #joyconboyz

Great, better then the original I can charge the minis without having to attach them to the screen

When I decided to get 2 extra Joy-con controllers I wasn't thrilled about having to buy a separate charger or switch them out with the 2 attached to the switch. This chargeable grip is my go to controller style for my switch now! Not only are all my controllers charged at all times I also have a super easy way to ergonomically use my extra controllers. I would recommend this again and again.

These are great quality controllers for the Nintendo switch handhelds. We like to play multiplayer Mario Kart and we didn’t like using the tiny controllers. My husband and I are old school and like a controller that fills your hand. Smallest I can use is the Super Nintendo controller. This switch holder did the trick. Very comfortable to hold and provides easier use of multiple buttons.

If you tend to use Joycons a lot i’d say get this asap! Definitely is worth it!

Makes charging controllers easy and works great as one controller

This is almost a necessary item for the Switch. Some games are just too hard to play with separated joy-cons, and while the Switch does come with a regular grip, it doesn’t charge the joy-cons like this does. The charge holds for a long time as well, and the clear design just looks cool.

Excellent joy con grip! THIS should've been included originally with the Switch console (the joy con grip that comes with the Switch console upon purchase doesn't charge the joy cons). The grip charges joy cons very quickly and efficiently and it's comfortable to hold when playing games even for longer periods of time. Definitely worth the purchase.

As the title states, this should come with the system. The fact that the controllers need to charge on the console makes it a bit of a pain, especially if they die in a case with the system. It comes with a nice, long, seemingly resilient USB-C cable for connecting it to the system, and charges beautifully. Only issue is it's a bit expensive for such an essential accessory.

This is actually surprisingly nice and feels very comfortable to hold, at least for me. Charging time for the joycons is greatly reduced, as with this addition they last about a week of 2 hours play a day without a recharge. I should explain that even though I'm in my 30's my hands are generally much smaller than the average controller is built for, so having something high quality, that doesn't cramp my hands.

I thought that the grip included with the console was a charging grip but I guess it isn't (looks the same as a charging grip though!). I did buy extra joy-cons for multi-player games so this charging grip will come in handy to keep the joy cons together and to charge them. These were sold out everywhere when the console was first released but you should be able to find them now.

Why this didn't ship with the console, is beyond me. This is great for when you want to play and charge your controller at the same time. For some who have a second controller, this isn't as big of an issue, as they can swap between docked controllers when the ones they are using start dying. But at $70 not many people have that luxury. It's upsetting that Nintendo didn't pack this in with their system, as low battery on your joycons, basically means you have to turn your living room experience into a corded handheld mode to charge your joycons :(

This is a good quality grip that allows you to charge two joycons at once. The grip that comes with the switch doesn't allow you to charge them in the grip. I got this for an extra set of joycons, so I would have 4 joycons to play multiplayer games (either 2 with 2 joycons in this charge grip and the one grip that comes with the switch, or 4 players with each having a joycon). Well, I and my kids, don't find the individual joycons very useful playing multiplayer. So we have used the joycon grips most of the time, playing 2 player (each with a grip and two joycons). I recently got the pro controller and I wish I would have got it earlier instead of extra joycons and a charging grip. I played over 100 hours of Zelda with this grip and joycons, and I like the pro controller better. This said, this grip is nice if you play a lot on the TV as you don't have to keep taking off the joycons to charge them.

We purchased this because the joy cons are too small for my husband's hands. He's able to use the bigger controller much better now. Since we have 3 kids, we still have the option to break them apart so they can play. We still plan on purchasing the full size controller for him in the future so we can all play at the same time.

Works just as well as the one that came with our Switch, but also includes a charging port. Why wasn't this version the only one made and included with the console?! Shame on the double-dip Nintendo.

The grip feels the same as the stock one just a bit heavier than the original- but not a major difference. Great to be able to charge your controller while playing when the system is in dock. I keep the controller charging near the couch and don't have to worry about keeping it attached to the Switch itself.

This grip is great way to keep your joy-con charged. It includes a USB cable that plugs into the back of the Nintendo Switch's main dock and connects with grip. Then, you slide your joy con into place and the charging begins. Plus, you have a comfortable controller to play with why the joy-con are charging. A+ in my book!

As with other console controllers, this product allows you to continue playing your games while also charging your controller at the same time. It’s very easy to use, convenient to have, and makes the gaming experience far more comfortable overall.

Works as described. Helps keep second set of joy cons charged, as well as using them for playing full controller with a friend. Joycons not included. Useful. The one included with switch doesn’t charge because it just charges attached to the screen.
