Pro controller to go with the Switch 2 is a must have for any gamer!

Must have controller if you have the switch 2. Feels great in your hands and feels like an upgrade from the switch one pro

It’s a great controller but for 90 idk the original one was expensive but 90 is a little crazy but it is still more comfortable and sturdy than the original I wouldn’t say it’s priced but you get what you pay for by Nintendo standards

An improvement on the original, smooth buttons, great grip and added jack port

Pairing is simple, wake-from-sleep works instantly, and after a few minutes it just felt like the default. That impression stuck as I kept using it: quiet confidence, smart design, nothing flashy. Comfort is the big win. The grips sit naturally, the light texture on the back keeps it steady, and the weight lands right between light and solid. No finger gymnastics to reach anything, and no hand fatigue after longer sessions. In a family setting, that matters. Kids can hold it comfortably, guests who don’t game much can figure it out instantly, and nobody hands it back saying it feels weird. It’s easy to use, which turns “let’s play” into actually playing. The controls are dialed in. Sticks glide smoothly with just enough resistance to nail a drift or hold a steady aim, snapping back to center reliably. Triggers have satisfying travel—enough control without mush. Bumpers are easy to tap quickly. Face buttons have a crisp, deliberate click. And the D-pad is actually good for platformers and menus, registering the direction you meant instead of throwing accidental diagonals at the worst moment. You don’t think about it; it just does what you ask. Rumble and motion are handled with a light touch. Rumble adds subtle texture instead of buzzing your hands off, and motion controls are responsive when used, invisible when not. I never felt the need to turn either off, which is the best compliment I can give: they enhance the experience rather than shouting for attention. Battery life is great. I regularly forget to charge it because it keeps going across multiple sessions. USB-C charging is simple, and you can play while plugged in. In a family scenario that’s huge—fewer “controller’s dead” moments when everyone finally sits down. Keep a cable near the dock and you’ll barely think about it. As a family-friendly controller, it checks all the boxes. The layout makes sense for newcomers, the build has shrugged off a couple bumps and one coffee-table slide, and it’s easy to wipe clean. The distinct feel of each button helps people remember what does what. It’s the one we pass to whoever needs the “best” controller for a tough level or a clutch race. In real play, it’s a Swiss Army knife. Racers feel precise, platformers benefit from the D-pad and face buttons, action/adventure flows thanks to smooth camera and movement, and shooters feel steady and predictable. It’s consistently very good across genres. Trade-offs? It’s not the cheapest, and very small kids might prefer something lighter for now. If you want deep customization or swappable parts, this isn’t that—it’s a premium everyday controller, not an esports science project. Bottom line: this is my preferred input for Switch and the first thing I hand to family or friends. Buy it once, use it constantly, and stop thinking about controllers—you’ll be too busy playing.

Loving the new controller comfortable in the hand and very responsive

Super bad quality the plastic is just sprayed on differently so it feels better but the quality is so low for the price. And for it also to come with a dent on the button the quality control must be non existent The left joycon also has a weird rubber ridge on the side that bugs and it came like that

I’ve been gaming since I was 4-years old with the Sega Master System. Over some christmas’ I got a Sega Genesis, SNES, N64, and Gamecube. In my teenage years I starting buying multiple game consoles because i loved gaming and in this order bought a PS2, Wii, PS3, 360, PS4, Wii U, XB1, Switch, XSX, and most recently the Switch 2. Ive played a lot of games and used a lot of different controllers. I even used the the Wii U Pro, Xbox Elite, and Switch Pro controller. But I always seem to find something I firmly dislike with every console controller. The 360 battery pack in the way, the PS4 touchpad being useless and I’m personally not a fan of the symmetrical thumbsticks, since i prefer concave. The Xbox elite’s paddles feel too intrusive when attached. But this Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller is the BEST 1st party controller I have ever used. It feels comfortable in the hands. The thumbsticks are smooth, quiet, and responsive. The face buttons are large but flat and not slippery. Ergonomics feel natural. The rear GR and GL are flush to the back and completely non intrusive. The shoulder buttons feel firm. The ONLY thing i could see people (not me, but people) objecting to is that the L and R button wouldnt have the give like Xbox or PS controllers in a racing game where you didn’t want to play with the pedal to the metal or not. And thats just being picky per that genre, it’s not a concern for 99% of gamers including myself. I am a pedal to the metal racing game person so I’m good! Nintendo outdid themselves… I can’t believe I didn’t buy the Switch 2 Pro controller at launch with my Switch 2. I’ve been missing out. I’ve never been paid to review anything in my life, so this is a genuine review from a longtime gamer. It’s that good. Go get it.
