Was so excited to get this, was setting up, doing updates etc, 20 minutes out of the box I ended up with floating colored circles and nothing else. thought it might have been part of an update and when I came back hours ago, still had the floating colored circles....Tech support didn't understand what I was seeing....mind you I was talking very clear English.....I boxed it up and did a complete return and got my money back. Went with an upscaled android box that works flawlessly.

The hardware is great. If this device had full Android it would be great. The "gaming" aspect of it is really useless. If it played Steam (not mirrored from PC) it would be way better

For $2.99 or maybe even $29.99 this might be worth the money, but it is absolutely not worth the cost! Avoid the mistake I made and spend your money on something else. Some details. The remote is cheap and Bluetooth only, which would be fine if this were the cheap model, but it is the PRO! The interface is pathetic. I understand this is a limitation of Android, but a Nvidia has such a poor implementation that I would call it mutually pathetic. Menus aren't customizable. Why must every device go to nothing but voice? I don't need the button wasted on the remote and I certainly don't need the privacy concerns that go with it (Yes, Amazon can keep their Alexa invasion to themselves). Finally, performance is abysmal. At least for me, where I am testing the edges of wifi, the performance is no faster than a "smart tv", so why pay extra? Just buy the Roku or Chromecast you were looking at and save yourself hundreds. This one is a fail.

I preordered this device after several months of research. It was amazing until the most recent firmware update. Before the update, the system played flawlessly this includes YouTube, Kodi, and video games - I could not imagine using an Amazon Fire Stick TV again. Well, I had to pull it back out! After the recent update, the sound started to fade in and out then the system would not load properly leaving apps blurred and distorted. Generally, a reset would fix the issue and I was good to go. Today, I decided to master reset the device in hopes that I could restore the entire system and start fresh. This was a big mistake! All I see is a colorful spinning circle, which has been spinning for hours... Thank GOD for the elite plus membership as I should be able to return for a full refund. I hate that this happen because I truly like the NVidia Shield TV, but cannot waste over $300.00 when a fire stick TV is so cheap.

Bought the product lovely. Power cord defective from the start. Came to States bought box when got back to Barbados realize power adapter is no good. Sent adapter with label back by my cousin who lives in USA for her to send to my aunt so I can have the issue solved. Not a very happy customer at present.

The Nvidia Shield Pro is seriously the best device you can have for streaming and a good gaming supplement. 4K, Gaming with Nvidia and Emulators, and almost every app you can think of you can use on this. Kodi works the best off the shield, zero lag, and no buffering issues. Also use Ethernet if you can instead of wifi, best performance is always hardlined. Thinking about picking up a 2nd now for my other TVs.

Worst product ever. Neither remote will pair. Can’t find my WiFi even when hooked to Cat5e. Tech support can’t speak English. Junk junk junk junk

The Nvidia Shield TV is the best android media device I have used. I was so impressed with it I purchased three 16gb versions to go in the bedrooms. I have had no issues streaming Netflix, Hulu or Kodi content and it plays movies from my NAS via Plex. The only reason I purchased the PRO was so I could use my Logitech Harmony One remote. If you don't need the 500gb of space or the ability to use an IR remote save a few bucks and get the 16gb version, don't waste your money of a fire stick/tv or any of those other cheap android boxes.

I pre-ordered and waited for this thing to show up and I'm so happy I waited for the Pro Version. It's so much faster than all my other streaming devices. It seamlessly hooks up with all my other android home logins and programs. Streaming PC quality Games wirelessly from my Computer to the TV at 4k and 60hz is fantastic. HBO, Kodi, Hulu, Steam Store, NVidia gaming, Google voice search and the whole setup just screams quality. I wish it had come with an HDMI cable in the box.. but that's the least of my worries. Get one!

I finally received my Nvidia Shield after not receiving it on the release day. Problems with Fed Ex once again. Ive had it 2 days so far and I am definitely happy with it. Its a lot faster then my Amazon Fire stick which is good but has a lot of lag. The Nvidia loads up apps and games very fast. Im using it for everything it can be used for. Streaming, gaming and also using it to load all my movies and music from an external hard drive. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fast android box and streamer.

Streaming quality is great, and the apps launch and stream very quickly. I didn't care for the remote that shipped with it, but I have since upgraded to the newer remote and I like that a lot better. Overall it is a nice streamer.

I purchased the pro and the 16gb Nvidia Shields. I have to say performance wise I had a lot of lag on the Pro model. Very upsetting because I loved the idea of extra space. I wish the pro model had the same performance as of the 16gb Shield.
