These controllers are amazing. They are very intuitive and they have multiple sensors throughout. When you let go of certain buttons your hands do different gestures in the game and knows exactly what's going on and tracks it perfectly. This is exactly what the Oculus needed to be the best VR system out there. Right now when you purchase this with the Oculus you get 7 free games. The best one so far is Robo recall it is awesome and I'm coming from a PS VR on the PS Pro

it always bothers me with the Rift having the better graphic but no motion controllers like the vive I also have. this completed the missing piece of the more supreme hardware set. However, be ware of the length of the cable that the rift has if you are going for room scale with 3rd sensor. make sure you get the extension cable for hdmi and usb 3.

These Oculus Touch Controllers are awesome! The controllers are well designed and offer a better virtual reality experience. The battery life is great, even with haptic feedback. The only thing that I worry about.... is that so many people are saying that the triggers are breaking with light usuage on the Oculus Forums. So far so good.

I have never had a problem with the touch controllers, they are basically excellent. The design makes them easy and comfortable to use, while also being intuitive and effective in VR. I have tried the VTC controllers, and in my opinion these are much better, especially for any kind of shooter games, the touch controller feel much more like holding guns. They run on one AA battery each, and I’ve seen pretty good battery life, even with heavy use. Also the battery fits into a sleek slot on the controller that you won’t even notice while you’re playing. These go with the Oculus, which I also wrote a review about, but just to save you the trouble of having to find it, the Oculus is so worth it, unless it makes you nauseous. My suggestion would be to go to Best Buy and demo the Oculus first to make sure it doesn’t. I give full marks for the controller though they did an excellent job.

The controllers have a lot of buttons and they can seem overwhelming at first, especially since you’re effectively blindfolded from the real world in VR. It also doesn’t help that many games render virtual human hands, rather than 1:1 representations of Touch controllers. Fortunately, Oculus includes tutorials that walk you through the controller's various capabilities. These come in handy when you let newcomers try them. The controllers also have multiple capacitive zones: the index trigger, analog stick, thumb rest, and face buttons. Oculus has also implemented a system for Touch that allows you to lift your thumb off the controller to give the thumbs-up gesture in-game. Similarly, when you lift your index finger off the trigger button, your virtual index finger will point. These movements are useful when you want to congratulate your VR buddy or point at an object. Now, what i think: played a bunch of games to put the controllers to the test and am glad to say that they performed VERY well. Even with the traditional two front-facing sensor setup, the controllers rarely got obscured. The controllers would generally only occlude, or get blocked, if I turned my back towards the sensors and held them too close to my body or positioned them beneath the sensors. Tracking is also accurate. There are a lot of buttons, but once you learn the layout, it feels really natural to pick up objects, fire guns, wave at allies, and more. Playing the first-person shooter Dead and Buried, I could more accurately shoot enemies by looking down my pistol's sights. It’s so accurate that when I shoot basketballs in VR Sports Challenge, I can get a strong sense of whether shots will land before they even hit the backboard. Tagging artwork in Kingspray Graffiti Simulator, I could control the intensity of my spray can with Touch’s analog trigger, which offers different degrees of pressure. In creative tool Medium, I could use the controllers to sculpt objects in three-dimensional space with six degrees of movement. This is something that you simply can’t do with a standard gamepad. The Touch’s haptic engine is also fantastic. Playing the 1v1 wizard-dueling game The Unspoken, I could feel how powerful my charging fireballs were by how violent my controller shook. Even though the Rift’s constellation system only tracks the position of your hands and head, it’s enough data to allow developer Sanzaru Games to build a fairly sophisticated system that tracks your entire body in their game Ripcoil. This allows your online opponent to see you crouch and even dance in the robotic tennis-like game. It’s kind of amazing.

Oculus wouldn't not be nearly as entertaining without the touch controllers. Actually, I have yet to have played a game using the game pad. You can point, make a fist, and have your palms open. They are accurate and very fun to use. Well worth getting and I don't think you'll get the full experience without buying this with the Oculus headset. Playing games that involve shooting or throwing, catching, and grabbing objects just makes you feel more involved in a virtual world.

These things are great to use, significantly better than the Vive controllers. Too bad the room scale isn't as good on the Rift. Give and take with both systems, but these controllers are a win.

I love these controllers. They are extremely ergonomic and super intuitive to use (if you are a gamer, or have a love for technology. Some people I have seen use these that aren't gaming/computer savvy have a bit of a learning curve.) The controllers are light weight, the batteries last for a long time, and the haptic feedback is pretty strong. The controller has touch capacity so it knows when your fingers are on each button, trigger, or joystick. The only drawback that these controllers have (and it is a mild inconvenience) is that unless you have a sensor behind you, you will lose tracking when you get into a game and don't realize that you are facing away from your normal forward position and your body is blocking the sight of the sensors to the controllers. TL;DR Pros: +Light weight +Super ergonomic +Amazing battery life (1 AA battery lasted me over a month of with an AVERAGE of 1 hour a day of use) +Super intuitive with how the buttons/triggers/grips are laid out. +Comes with a 2nd sensor to use with your Rift to have better tracking Cons: -With only 2 sensors and you getting super into a game, you can sometimes forget what way you are facing and might be facing backwards were your body is blocking the sensors from seeing the controllers. If you have an Oculus Rift, these are almost a MUST HAVE item. They are pretty much perfect on their design and usefulness.

The touch controllers are absolutely essential to your VR experience. These controllers are what allow you to easily interact with your VR world. The controllers are wireless running on 1 AA battery for each of the two controllers. There is a left and a right hand controller. Both controllers are mirror reflections of each other. They both contain 2 face buttons, 1 pointer finger trigger, one grip trigger, an analog stick that acts as a button as well, and a start / select style button. The controller is also able to detect when your pointer finger is pointing out in front of you or when you are gripping to controller. These controllers also have 1 to 1 tracking of your hand motions which goes a long way to making VR believable. These controllers also have haptic feed back so that players feel a bit of rumble when playing games or experiences. The touch controller also comes with an additional sensor that makes your movements in VR more accurate. At least 2 sensors are recommended for the oculus rift and the headunit comes with 1 sensor as well.

The Oculus Touch brings your hands into VR, and with it true immersion in games like Robo Recall(free with purchase as of right now), and the sublime Star Trek Bridge Crew. Being able to actually point to things to teach how to play makes life so much easier, and actually using your hands to push the buttons make the fact that you're doing the same stuff you did at 12 years old with couch cushions, but for "real" that's much more amazing. Long battery life a nd great design make long sessions comfortable and you don't feel like there's any buttons missing from your experience. Spend the money up front to get the bundle price, you won't regret it

The Oculus touch system should have just come bundled with the Rift hardware originally, but having owned the system since the near-preorder wave, I can confirm that the touch experience is a HUGE leap forward in immersion. This device is the difference between the Rift's usefulness as a cool display with head-tracking and as a true virtual reality unit. The controls are extremely intuitive, and you'll probably forget that you're interfacing with controllers during your introductory session. Tracking gets very strange if you turn away from the two sensors and your hands are hidden. I plan to purchase an additional sensor to allow for 360 tracking. Be careful not to punch your furniture or your ceiling. It's extremely likely. Fortunately, the touch controllers take a hit like a champ.

This is a short review of the Oculus Rift with Oculus touch controllers, which elevate the experience so much that I don't understand why they are just included with the headset. I was an early user with a DK2 headset, and it is amazing how much the new headset has improved in weight, screen resolution, and ease of use. Getting some games to work the were purchased through Steam (before the Oculus app store was available) has been a bit tricky (when you remove the headset, then put it back on, it takes you to the Oculus home screen) but for apps that were purchased through the Oculus store, it couldn't be easier to fire up a game or experience. My only small complaint is that you need a good sized space with no obstructions to use this to its full potential. I originally had it set up on my home office desk, and it worked great until I had to reach down and the desk blocked the sensor's view of the controllers, which then behaved erratically. I had to set everything up again and move back to use most of the 10x12 room to have full range of motion. Once you are "in" a game, you really lose yourself in the experience. The headphones allow in just enough sound from the outside world to hear someone talking to you, but otherwise you feel like you're in a different world. It has been great for racing and first person VR games, and even the educations demos are fun. The 1980's style robot demo that teaches you how to use the touch controller was so good, I downloaded it and had everyone that tried the headset go through the demo first. Watching your fingers move for the first time in VR will put a smile on your face. This is the future of immersive gaming, and it is impressive!

This is a must for games where it requires gripping and holding stuff. It puts the Rift at par with HTC. I got mine as a package with the Oculus Rift that I bought for 399 USD. It runs on a single size AA battery which lasts for a week of heavy use. I've accidentally dropped it or smashed it on a table and chair while playing a game and it never cracked, but i think it would if you hit very hard enough. Trust me, some games are so realistic and can suck you in that you think you really have to hit the virtual objects with such force, not knowing that you are actually bashing either your monitor, table , furniture or worst somebody beside you. Very realistic experience. Worth adding it with your current remote and gamepad.

OCULUS TOUCH are THE BEST controllers- htc isn't even close. I tried the HTC Vive controllers at the Mall for 30 minutes, and when I was done, my hands hurt, because of the way they implemented the object grasping functionality. THEN I tried the Oculus controllers- EXCELLENT!! You can almost forget they are in your hands, because their shape FITS a relaxed hand! The controllers are lighter, more intuitive and a joy to use. I bought them and absolutely enjoy using them for hours on end, pain free- because they got the ergonomic aspect of things totally right! Also, you can POINT your finger, make gestures and a handle objects much more easily. Oculus touch wins, hands down!

This is a must have if you own the rift headset without Touch. having your hands present in Virtual Reality completely transforms the experience. every rift game worth the time and money will require the use of touch, so if you did not get these with a bundle they are well worth the purchase.

The Oculus Touch controllers are lightwieght, comfortable controllers that are pretty intuitive to use. Unlike its rival, the HTC Vive controller, it isnt heft and takes up little space, while allowing for finger gesture tracking along with dual thumbstick movement. The best part is that it doesn't require any additional USB ports (although the included Oculus sensor is required along with the headset to complete the two seonsor setup). The only drawback is that hand positions are not completely analog and are more predetermined postures you can do.

When I got the Oculus before the Touch came out, I was incredibly impressed, but having the freedom to look anywhere, but be stuck with a joystick lost it's appeal quickly... I got the Touch because I have shoulder problems and wanted to see if The Climb would help loosen it up in a fun way... MAN!! It's amazing! Shoulder is so much better, BUT, finally getting to interact with the games - reach out and grab some robots in Robo Recall - I sweat like crazy! The tracking is flawless, and the immersion is amazing! So glad I got it.
