Customers are delighted by the fluid gameplay, exciting action, and deep combo system in Onechanbara ZII: Chaos: Banana Split. Many praised the hack-and-slash mechanics and enjoyable music. However, some found the storyline lacking. The game's overall positive reception is largely driven by its engaging combat and visuals.

If you like hack and slash games, enjoy killing zombies, and appreciate the ridiculous costumes, you don't need my review - just buy this game.

Pretty fun hack and slash button mashing action. You can switch characters on the fly and use them to do COOL combinations. Don't let your mom catch you playing this one, kiddies!

The game starts out okay, in a sense, but the plot ends up having you run around the world killing monsters. The only problem is that the game ends up just being a repetitive hack n slash romp. The locations you visit are mainly one large area that you run around in, and is broken up to smaller sections that get blocked off as the game tasks you with killing everything in the at area before proceeding. Not much changes as you continue to the end, which consists of a Boss Rush right before the last boss battle. There are skills, weapons, and equipment (up to three rings) you can unlock with orbs that are dropped from fallen enemies. There are four different characters, two separate fighting types and all with different skills, but the game eventually ends up with you button mashing and dodging to get to the end credits. Not much else is left besides unlocking accessories for the four characters, and some smaller missions that you can tackle that help you complete certain accolades (known as quests in this game). Overall, I'd say rent this game, and return it, as I am thinking of trading this game in. RENT.

A bloody good hack n' slash for those looking for something similar to DMC, Bayonetta, or God of War. Be warned though, this game it NOT for kids!

Lots of fun with a lot of action. Game is a little over the top but plays out just fine for what it is a hack/slash game with a lot of gore.

This game is fantastic. Those ladies look so fine and I was like "wow girl you so fine" and my dad was like "son you need do something with your life." So in the end, great game to fulfill your fantasies, bad game to show to your family.

Onechanbara is a lot alike God of War, combo based combat with giant bosses. It is fun but short.

I didn't have high hopes since the Wii and 360 ones weren't great, but they really stepped the game up. Fast fluid and fun!

Yeah onechanbara has always been known for its "appeal" and theres plenty of that here but the same old stale repetitive gameplay and nonsense storyline is also here....
If your one of those people who enjoys mindless hack n slash action with a pretty in depth combo system if you spend time with it this might be for you... Just expect to get some strange looks playing this if people walk in..

Onechanbara is like a B movie schlock film. The characters are over the top and poorly acted and the story is ham-fisted. The controls on the game are like any standard hack and slash, with heavy and light combos used to cut down legions of enemies. Killing the zombie enemies leads to collecting xp to upgrade your combos and weapons.
The game is a fun but hollow experience in the end.

This game is the most recent installment of the series, so if you have not played the others before it, there is some back story you will be missing. Overall fun game, good graphics, zombies and pretty ladies in bathing suits. Who doesn't like zombies and pretty ladies

The people who will like this game know who they are. They like the musou games and sexy anime chicks in scantily clad outfits. The fighting mechanics are surprisingly deep and fun. The game is repetitive, but that is to be expected. The most unfortunate part of this one is the graphics. They are way below what is expected on next gen systems. If you can look past that, and the other stuff mentioned is to your liking, give this one a shot.

Onechanbara is a bizarre game. The hack and slash gameplay is fun enough, but the story is paper thin and the characters range from ridiculous to annoying. Not to say the game is bad, but you have to go in with the right mind set. Be prepared for how cheesy and over the top this game is. Expect nonsense and fun, but entertaining none the less.

The Oneechanbara series started out as budget titles in Japan. The latest release still isn't as polished as the big budget AAA titles but it is surprisingly fun should players adjust their expectations going in. Don't expect a deep story line, polished background or character models. However, do expect a fun battle system, lots of unlockables and challenge missions to go through and keep players busy for a while.
