    I installed this in 2022, and by 2024, it has broken. Everything works except it doesn’t heat, which is the main reason we bought it. The service charge for a technician to come and confirm that it doesn’t heat was $140. He also provided an estimate for the repair, which was over $600. On top of all that, the air filter costs $150! This feels like a total rip-off. Would not recommend anyone to even try it.

    Don’t buy TotalTech if the free installation service is the big feature you’re after. Our old over the range microwave died, so we ordered a new one and were excited that installation was included with our TotalTech subscription. Unfortunately the installation team was different than the delivery team, and this created an issue as when it came time for the delivery/install the installation team arrive about 30 minutes before the delivery team. This meant there was no microwave to install, so the install team left saying they would call back to reschedule after they figured out what happened at the store. Shortly after the delivery arrived, placed the new microwave on the floor in front of my kitchen, and said that I should hear back from the install team that day. Two days passed(the weekend) with no contact, so I called Best Buy support that Monday. Support said the installation was marked as “completed,” and therefore they couldn’t reschedule it. They had to start a new install. The soonest available was nearly 3 weeks later. So now I am just going to have this brand new microwave sitting in a box next to my kitchen for 3 weeks while I wait for an install that will hopefully go better next time. 1/10, definitely do not recommend.

    I'm writing this review as to the horrible service I had with getting product installed. Every week it was a problem to where the day had to be changed. Not sure if best buy wasnt communicating with geek squad or what. It became very upsetting to have to be on the phone for hours almost everyday trying to get it right. Once the day finally came I had an appointment window from 12 to 3 the tech called at 8 saying he was on his way but I wasnt home saying he finished early an had no other appointments wanted me to reschedule. Once I told him no I had a window time when he finally came I guess he was upset had a bad attitude didnt put the microwave up right had to call for a different tech to come do it right because he didnt even clean up his mess or show me how to operate the thing. Dont think I'll be ordering anything from best buy that had to be installed again. And definitely gonna cancel my geek squad.

    Installer damaged my brand new glass stove top. Installation team turned my stove on and burned the towel into the stove top. Then proceeded to scrub the coarse towel into the stove top. Like HELLLOOOO!!! Make it worse why don’t you. I filed a claim and have yet to hear back. When I tried to send video footage, I was told they don’t need it. Which is crazy they wouldn’t take my evidence into account of the damage. I haven’t even had that stove over 3 weeks. I hate this installation team and their lack of customer service/support. I pay to have nice things. In a matter of seconds, young kids destroy it without zero remorse or consequence. Will never buy anything that requires installation from bust buy.

    This about the installation. The microwave works fine. The installation tech did a fine job, up until the wiring of the unit. He placed an outlet box in the cabinet above the microwave. It was unsecured and has no face plate, with the wiring in the box exposed. Without talking to me, he then drilled a hole in the middle of the bottom of the right side of the cabinet, to allow the power cord for the microwave to be plugged into the aforementioned unsecured outlet box, making it practically impossible to use the cabinet to store anything in it, like serving dishes. I am very unhappy with the wiring job and will have to pay another service man a lot of money to replace the cabinet to fix the sub-par installation.

    I explained that the microwave was replacing a hood when I purchased the microwave. I was not told anything. The microwave was installed but the power cord comes out of the cabinet above and plugs into an outlet next to the stove. I brought this up with Best Buy and was told I needed to have an outlet installed in the cabinet.

    The range hood was expensive was delayed several limes finally came in in a very damaged box no paperwork for install My request for a certain installer was totally ignored sent out another and they said they could not put it in at all.n

    The installers could only worry about how quick they could get the job done, and get to the next job because they had a trip to go on. They managed to damage my old microwave, and drilled an extra hole in my cupboard, and the boats were drilled in not straight. And I had to clean up their mess. I paid an extra $200 for installation.

    The previous microwave had wood placed behind it since it was not deep enough to extend the vent beyond the cabinet. The new microwave did not need that, yet the installer left it there and now the microwave protrudes drastically beyond where it should.

    Awful experience! No shows and no calls on two different appts delegated by Best Buy to a 3rd party installer. As the photo shows, the microwave was never installed.

    Microwave looks nice, however, today I turned on the vent and dust came down from vent area onto my stove. Biggggggg malfunction!!

    They installers were polite and installed our microwave quickly. They paid close attention to the overall appearance of the microwave because the box it came in was damaged. We did have to pay a little more than Best Buy verbally quoted for the install of the outlet for the microwave. We had a hard wire stove vent before installation. The only thing I wish I would have looked at a little closer is the microwave is not cantered in the allotted space.

    Installer called the night before and again the day of the delivery and installation. He showed up early, complied with Covid safety measures, made sure my stove and countertops were protected, completed the job quickly, and cleaned up everything before he left. The new microwave looks like it always belonged there. I am SO glad I decided to have this installed professionally rather than try to do it myself. Thanks BB!

    The servicemen did a great job. They took out the old one, and did everything necessary to install the new one. Professional, personable, helpful, cleaned up any mess from the project, set clock and showed me basic operation. Very pleased with the delivery and install.

    Once it could be installed, it was great. Getting to that point, was a mess. This had to be rescheduled a couple of times due to communication issues. What I ordered and paid for, related to the install, is not what I got. This was Best Buy’s fault, not the installers. It was stressful and frustrating, and ultimately wasn’t the full scope of what it was supposed to be. Best Buy did credit me back some of the money, but I don’t think it was adequate for the hassle. The installers were very nice. I felt bad as they traveled from out of the area and had to come back more than once.
