It was advertised in the building when I bought several items that free install was included. I was never offered a free install. I bought a new stereo system. All wires needed. Car adaption kit. And amp/sub wiring. I still haven't successfully gotten this connected.

Does not allow me to use my steering wheel controls any longer. Sometimes have to turn off the vehicle and on again to get the unit working again especially when trailering.

It hooked the radio up to my car no problem and all sounds good, but the steering wheel controls controls do not work. That may be an issue with my stereo but regardless for the price of this, it shouldn't be endabled for both wireless and wired

It works OK. The chimes are miserable sounding compared to stock. Just sound cheap.
Also, it occasionally glitches and doesn't receive the radio turn on message from the car, or occasionally doesn't turn the amp on

I am not the person who installed the radio so the use of the adapter was not in my hands. I am giving the product an average review due to the fact that the tuner has stopped working in my car recently.

I was told I needed this piece to maintain the controls on my steering wheel, which I had gotten very used to with my old unit after 10 years. However, the first time I tried to change the station, the stereo changed to the FM2, and then to the FM3 (but not the AM, for some reason). And the controls that used to control going between the FM channels, the AM channels, the On-Star, the CD player, etc, don't do anything now. The only thing that does what it used to is the volume controls. However, there is a major hesitation in the volume going up or down after hitting these steering wheel controls. And some times, it gets stuck and goes ALL THE WAY UP, even if you just hit the controls once. Same for volume down at times. Overall, I am VERY disappointed in this piece. I don't think I'll ever get to use the steering wheel controls again.

Dont know if this is PACs fault or Best Buys? Its now my problem. The equipment is supposed to allow me to control my aftermarket radio with my steering wheel controls just as my factory radio was controlled. Well it doesnt do that. To male it more interesting, it will change what it does from time to time. I took it back to BB and they installed a new one, but told me that the unit is not compatible with my head unit for all the features. Something I would of like to have been told when I purchased the unit.
