My phone that was about 5 years old started to die. After checking out all the phones on display at Best Buy I picked the Panasonic. It had the answering machine and the number of handsets I really wanted. I am so happy with this purchase. First of all, the setup was easy. I only had to enter my phonebook one time and it comes up on all phones. I love the feature that allow you to block calls. I have blocked all calls with the Unavailable and Blocked numbers and this has cut down on my junk calls dramatically. I love the feature that announces the caller so you know if you want to even pick up the phone when you are in another room. This phone makes everything so much easier because of these features. The only negative is that the base model must be wall mountable for our house and it looks a little clumsy on the wall due to the structure of the base. That is minor in comparison to the phone's benefits.

We have positioned the four units in 1) the living room, 2)kitchen,, 3) batlh, and 4) bedroom. The intercom saves us from yelling at each other. The hand sets hold a charge for more than a day and recharge quickly. Clear and strong sound from handset or speaker.Far exceeded my expectations.

Good cordless phones. Easy to read and I really like the built in intercom.
I would have given this 5 stars but the bases for the extensions are very light weight. Might be good to add some weight or some 2-way removable tape.

My wife and I like the idea of having 5 cordless phones available to us in our home. You never know when the phone will ring, so we can answer a call from multiple rooms. The charges lasts a long time, and the voice quality is perfect. You can group your address book entries and silence calls overnight from specific groups so you are not disturbed.
The handsets feel comfortable to hold and the base unit can call a misplaced cell phone, if needed. I do not use the answering system, but use the Verizon Messaging service. I didn't buy the phone for the answering system ... I bought it for the voice quality.
Over the years I have used other manufacturers and have been disappointed with sound quality. The Panasonic phone handsets provides clear, realistic voice quality.

Great range from the base unit. Caller ID voice is very clear and easy to understand. Simple setup and like the fact that your phone book updates on all phones when you make a change or add a number.

Panasonic phone, works like it should. It’s lighter than the previous Panasonic 5.8 gh, we miss the color lights & musical tones for specific phone numbers. We keep knocking it over & curtains knock it over. We have caller id & it displays all numbers, (no "anonymous" callers & "no number" callers). However, you can block (annoying) phone calls, but you have to input the numbers; it doesn’t ring – lights up for 1 second & ends the calls. Like the large number button & large view screen, good for seniors! Sound quality could be better; answering machine could be louder, we set on "high" setting still low retrieving messages, however you can retrieve messages from any handset. Overall very good machine. Best Buys has the best prices!

With a total of 5 phones, this purchase took care of my home needs. Phonebook is easy to update, able to control ringer volume in each room, flashing lights on all phones indicates a message has been recorded, large numbers on phones make it easy for elderly to use. It's too early to tell about battery life but there is an eco setting that helps extend use of battery when it is off its base. Overall, I think this unit is an excellent choice.

This is a great phone system. I originally got one for myself over a year ago. When it was time for my mother to get a new phone for her home, I got her this one. Panasonic phone systems have been good to me, and I trust it will serve my mother well too. This system is easy to set up and most options can be managed from a menu on any of the handsets, so you don't have to go to the base to check voicemail or add/update phone book entries. The sound is good, the buttons are big, and the handset screens are large enough to read for my mother's older eyes.

Bought for my Mother for Christmas - she loves it. SHe is able to have a phone in almost every room. When it rings the phone announces who is calling, she can listen to messages from all the phones and she loves the intercom feature. Friends have told her she is clearer on the phone then her previous one. Recommend to all, great for the price.

This is my second set of these Panasonic Cordless Phone Systems. I just upgraded my older model. They are fabulous. I have even given a set as a housewarming gift. Very easy to plug in and use. Have wonderful features and allows you to contact others in your home via an intercom system. You can also sync your cell phone to these home phones and never miss a call. This is very important to me since I am a small business owner and I certainly do not want to miss a job opportunity. You will enjoy them.

We owned a previous model in which one of the screens went out and the sound quality was getting bad. The new set is great. It lets you hear from every handset messages while someone is leaving one and listen to them later. The intercom feature is cool and you can name each handset, (ie Kitchen, Master BR, etc). My favorite feature fetcher is the spy ringtone, because I am a child. After having it for a couple months I have yet to come up with any complaints.

Really pleased with this purchase. We needed a single system like this with one base unit and five handsets instead of the multiple systems we had before. The phones are easy to use and have all the features we need. i especially like the call blocking feature which allows blocking of up to 250 calls.

Bought this for my 92 year old mother. No problem setting it up, she can see the numbers and hear callers, she also hasn't had any problem retrieving messages which was a problem with her old phone. Also liked being able to have a phone in all the rooms.

Performs well. Does not interfere with computer, Smart TV, cell phones or other electronics. Slight aggravation in setup. Some commands entered on base station, some commands need to be entered on each individual phone. But, back to the basics, it is an excellent telephone with no problems using multiple phones at once or talking from the farthest corners of the 2-story house.

Bought this for my father in law to replace their old Uniden house phone (3 total phones) and the hard wired phone. They were able to get it setup and running in no time. The only complaint is the ringtones. They are limited and are poor compared to other phones like the Uniden and Sony phones. It is a minor thing, but when you get used to cooler ringtones, it is hard to go back to annoying poor ones.
They have been using them now for over 3 months and they seem to be working very well. They like the Caller-ID Voice alert telling them who is calling and if they need to rush to get the phone.
Overall they are happy with the purchase and hope it lasts as long as their previous set.
Oh yeah, another nice thing is the batteries! They are simply rechargeable AA batteries! It makes this a very cost effective system to own with no crazy expensive batteries to replace over time.

This system replaced an older Panasonic system and they work great for the home. They have exceptional range and I have them placed from the garage to the patio, kitchen and home office which is a considerable distance with no issues. Easy to use lots of useful features and lighted keypad.
